I didn't realize they added this. Pretty handy. I think Tzeentch is another faction that gets a lot of little research rate increases through buildings and characters. Kairos could still use a touch up on his tree, but it sounds like those increases will at least be more noticeable now and make it easier to unlock all the changing of the ways abilities.
This will definitely benefit any factions with lots of tech, but especially the Lizardmen, who get lots of incremental bonuses to research rate, but still have very robust research times. If this helps use those smaller buffs to save maybe one in three, one in four turns, it'll make a huge impact.
Vampire counts can benefit a lot from this too due to stealing research hero action with their very high action success chance (Isabella) and hero action cost reduction and they get a character trait that increases hero action success even more so pretty much guaranteed surplus research.
I know this has nothing to do with the topic of the video but how do you play zhatan´s campaign now since you can´t rely on kholek to help fight grimgor for you in the early game and you can´t kill kholek early since you start with a non agression pact with him. I would assume you either just rush grimgor or somehow get a defensive alliance with tamurkhan. Thanks your content is great
I did a Zhatan campaign fairly recent and it was mostly a case of getting into cathay early, establishing some decent income, manage your diplomacy so that it doesn't piss off Grimgor too much early (small gift if you really have too, but your long term allies wont like that) and then mountain hop either Zhatan (but you will mostly need him in Cathay) or your 2nd lord back from Nan Gau too the Volary for T3 troops (it's ussualy also around the time you can buy a couple of unit cap upgrades) to deal with Grimgor. 2-3 squads of blunderbussies will melt him when he charges into their firing zone, so you dont really need a lord that can straight up fight him (being able too pin him for a bit is deffo nice though). Or, depending on how the non-player faction buffs fall Tamurkhan (or even Kholek) might take care of the problem for you.
Gotta think Tomb Kings will also like this change. Every little bit of extra research will help accelerate their army unlocks.
Stealing technology with heroes is actually worthwhile now too.
If you're stealing from the start it's a huge difference Balthazar gelt has a huge buff to his campaign now.

Archaons research will go even faster now
oooo I forgot about him. I still think my Skaven take the cheese on the research rate though

I'm going to be testing gelt with his unlimited wizards.
Nice

You let Tamurkhan kill him and then after taking our Grimgor you take Tamurkhan's lands. Ill do a video on this
