Congrats on getting another vehicle. I’m still in the process of setting up, should be up and running early February. Ima miss out on that December bag but ima catch the many more on the next one for sure.
You got to bro. He put me on initially. I became independent, made him independent. We both used to work for the same employer but today we got 4 vans and continuing to push.
I got a 2020 Ford 250 high roof but full rear interior with walls and door with cage. I protected the cargo mat with wood and e tracks on top of it. Congrats on your 2020 Transit.
I bought a 2009 ford e250 extended cab for 1k from a transport company with 356k miles 6 months ago and almost at 362k right now. The engine was replaced 2 years ago at this point and the only thing I notice is the triton tick only when hot and at idle. Would you say it was a decent buy? I hear the e250s are durable as hell. But I don’t know your take on them. Love the video by the way.
@Tony.Ruiz08 it's basically their standards/requirements for contractors trucks. it includes those cameras / a cab camera that functions as a dash cam and driver cam / the truck being clean and labeled with the fedex logo and contractors company name properly / proper tire tread / so on. i worked fedex ground before as a driver. i once thought about investing in routes there with someone that had a fleet and used to do it before but the both of us decided not to because conceptionally you're much more of a glorified supervisor rather than a business owner because fedex sets almost all the standards and regardless of how stupid they may be you either kiss their ass or get kicked in yours. being an amazon dsp is almost totally identical to this; dont feel like you're missing out if it's something that has appeal to you.
Great Video! But I seen both of you guys had the older Chevy express to start the business off. Did you gig app to start off or did you reach out to different companies to secure a dedicated route ? Sorry for the long question
Yes we both started with old cargo vans! We are in transits now! And we both started as drivers for the same person. I learned the game & I went independent and since he got me in, i helped him be independent as well.
Hi Tony I love your videos brother. Great content. I’m in the process of looking into the cargo van business and just purchased a Sprinter 2500. Since you have experience in this field, I wanted to reach out and ask if you have any advice or recommendations on how to effectively make money with a van like this. Specifically, I’m interested in learning about: Different types of gigs or services that would be a good fit for a Sprinter 2500 How to find reliable customers or clients What the most profitable ventures are delivery, moving services. Any tips for getting started or avoiding common mistakes in the business Any insights you can share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Arturo
That’s something I hate to answer. I once told someone what I thought it would be, turns out his driving record wasn’t the best so it was triple that. It’s so many factors that will determine your monthly payments: driving record, age, location etc, vehicle (paid off or owned) etc. it goes on. Just try and get a free quote online.
So far so good! But anything can go wrong mechanically. I try to take good care of them, never abusing or overusing them & using the E brake at all stops etc. I’ve seen many transmissions problems on the Ram Promasters though.

That Econoline that’s older will outlast any transit van. Transit vans typically last around 150k miles until they start to have some major problems

fedex's "schedule b" absolutely required those cameras
