Yesterday, I found one of your BOLO Panasonic Blue Line VCRs at a garage sale for $4. Bought it even though (1) I had no way to test it and (2) it had the grease pencil letter and price tag residue guaranteeing that it was recently a Goodwill purchase. Tested it and it works and after a few hours of listing, it sold for $50 plus shipping. Also found the day before a Panasonic Blue Line VCR for $11 at an estate sale. Couldn't test but got it home and it works. Currently have it listed for $50 plus shipping. Because of you sharing this BOLO, since April I've found 10 Panasonic Blue Line VCRs and have sold 9 so far with a $25-40 profit on each.
Some of the better garage sales I've been to have been older people selling things. They generally have interesting stuff and are just happy to sell it and aren't seeking high prices. So many garage sales seem to be the same type of things, but older people will always have some interesting stuff.
Compared to other youtubers, you never have to look stuff up while you’re at the sale. You always guess/know what something is worth/selling for on ebay. Impressive!
I watch you while I do shipping and listing but I had to stop and comment on this video. You were very kind and very patient at this garage sale with the lady who had stories to share and it was a pleasure to watch! Be safe, wear a mask :)
The white Nerf sniper rifle at 3:39 can go for really good money! New I think they are $80ish... used with accessories $60ish. Definitely a good pick up for the right price!
Here's a BOLO for you. Generally ignore Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew as they're available everywhere. But there are other young adult book series produced in the 1940s to 1960s that have reasonable scarcity as they weren't produced in large numbers, aren''t commonly found and still yield good money (look at Ebay comps). I've turned reasonably quick profits and these young adult book series. Cherry Ames, Chip Helton, Trixie Belden. Apparently many of the book publishing companies tried to duplicate the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew success by creating other serials using writers who could turn out many books quickly using the same basic formula. Yesterday at Goodwill I purchased 6 Trixie Belden books (paperback) from Goodwill for $1 each and within 6 hours of listing had them sold for $16 plus shipping. After fees and shipping, it was a $6.50 profit on my $6 purchase and easy to list and pack. I've sold several Cherry Ames and Chip Helton books (hard cover) in above average condition for $10-15/each plus shipping.
Found another Trixie Belden paperback at Goodwill today for $1. Sold it for $5 plus shipping within 2 hours after listing it. Easy $2.50 made. (Ideally it would be better to accumulate many of these and sell as a group, but I already sold the 6 I purchased yesterday and I don't want to wait to see if I'll find any more.)
Commonwealth Picker Thanks man, I’ll be sure to comment often, I’m heading on over to the other channel now, I’ve been so preoccupied with this channel I haven’t made a start on the Flipper videos yet!
The old woman in the hat had an amazing accent. I’m a nerd for that kind of stuff and she had a pristine example of the Southern Magnolia Accent which is like a “classier” slower southern accent that used to be super prevalent in Virginia, but you don’t here it too often now. Super cool!
The yard sale with the old woman who said, come on back if you get some more money. She dropped that twenty when she tried to hand you a piece of paper. Not sure if she ever retrieved it. As soon as you hand it to her you see it drop onto that paper
Gr8 find's Kevin... Love the Snap On jacket that was a good buy... Also love the little older lady she wants you to buy it all...lol...😂 Well done sir... Stay safe...👍💕🔥😷🌎
You passed on the vintage porsche plate cover. Those go for around $50-150, its actually better to find the vintage porsche and other sports car makers plates with iconic dealers names on them. Check solds you will be amazed.
I've seen Part-Time Picker in his videos pick up license plate covers. I always scratch my head on there being value in them. But you're right, there are certain ones with great sold comps.
Question for anybody (Thanks). A buyer told me that he'll be on vacation and wants me to delay shipping by 1 week. This will potentially get me a defect for late shipment. But I have the Ebay message where he makes the request that I can reference to dispute the defect. Any reason why I shouldn't delay 1 week giving the shipment to the post office? I've already packaged it up ready to go. (And before you say that 1 defect isn't much given that Ebay allows a 5% rate for late shipping defects, my local post office doesn't scan many items so I already get defects for late shipping. I'm already playing in that 5% range.)
Q: I think it was in one of your videos that you talked about the old web lawn chairs that sold well. I looked them up on ebay and they do sell well! I'm confused though. The same chairs new sell for cheap! Why would I pick up old chairs when people can get the same thing at Walmart for cheap?
@@HelosWorldRailroadReseller Still polite and respectful to other people to wear a mask if still around them, even if some sense of social distancing can be achieved.
@@HelosWorldRailroadReseller I wear a mask and then don't have to constantly be looking around to see if I am six feet from anybody. I also think it's a sign of respect to those around me.
This is flim in Virginia. I’m also a Virginia resident. Our Governor is a medical doctor who has treated terminally ill kids and our troops in Iraq he hasn’t recommended masks for outdoor activities where you are more than 6 feet apart. I appreciate your opinions but that’s what they are.

@@techmasterjr3092 Is the purpose of his backpack just to hold the GoPro? Seems like a big hassle to wear a backpack for that. He's always asking if they have a bag or a box when he could just put the stuff in his backpack.
Even the one guy at the end wearing a mask, he doesn't even wear it properly as he doesn't cover his nose. Makes mask-wearing useless if the nose and mouth aren't covered.
Alison Brown You’re looking at it backwards. The point of the masks are to protect other people from the mask wearer by blocking the mist that comes with exhaling and preventing it from being dispersed freely. The masks have nothing to do with protecting the mask wearer from what he/she is breathing. I get my information from doctors and scientists, not politicians.
@Alison Brown They are not useless. There are plenty of ways for sloppy people to catch and spread the virus. How dare you tell people they are useless Dr Frankenstein
N.P. What did I write that is B.S.? In most mask use, the masks protect both ways. But in the specific COVID situation, the main purpose of the masks is protect others from breathing droplets being expelled by the mask wearer by blocking them. I’m simple saying what Dr. Fauci and other experts have been saying for many months. For COVID, the masks main purpose is to protect others from the mask wearer. As far as masks protecting the wearer from others... If you really want to be protected from others, then a full body Hazmat suit would be needed. The COVID can get on a person anywhere and isn't just restricted to the mouth and nose. That's why they say wash frequently after being other places.
Virginians don't wear masks? You are all getting close to one another, droplets flying around. Arrogance. Usually love your videos! Just too stressful seeing all these people not social distancing, or wearing masks when over 156,000 human beings are dead.
I agree with others' comments. I love the new format of putting paid price and the estimated value during the video. Keep it up!
May God bless you for being so kind to all folks, young and old.
As I follow you on your journeys I think back on when we lived in Texas. You just can’t beat southern people’s gracious hospitality and friendliness.

That one woman wanted to keep talking to him and Kevin was trying hard to move on and look at more stuff. Funny.
