Ran into this same problem today. Looked at their website and it looks like you and i both installed it backwards. Their website shows it flipped the other way with the closed end of the bracket pointing at the front of the car, also moving the metal pieces forward and possibly clear of the driveshaft. Going to try this tomorrow and see if it gives me clearance.
Read the reviews on the product. We aren't the only ones. And i tried flipping it 180 degrees and the e brake cables had no shot of mounting. I wouldn't waste your time like I did. I literally spent days on it. Just bend it and move on
@@vincehgarage2273 you're right, flipping it forwards misaligned the bolt hole and peg hole, won't work at all. I checked their site again and the pictures shown don't match up with what I (and I assume you) have as far as bolt placement. The ad (on their website) also says at the very bottom "only for use with R33 brake cables" despite saying for use with z32 2+2 cables in the item name. Searched images of the bracket itself and I'm finding a mismatch across the board for what cables the bracket is for versus threaded hole position. Some pics show the threaded hole at the front, some show at the back, both are listed for z32 cables. It looks like to be able to run the bracket as GKtech's site shows closed end towards the front) the bracket must have the thread holes positioned behind the peg holes. I specifically ordered the z32 bracket so that's what I should have been sent but who knows. Regardless, I'm going to break my work bench hammering on this thing and I don't have a torch so I'll be doing the cut, bend, and re weld route. For anyone in the future it looks like Street Faction sells a bracket that actually works without modifications.
@@blackrat1228 i was hoping you'd circle back. I wasn't joking when i said i tried every orientation. took me a few days, thinking of different ideas. Then when i read the reviews, i found i wasn't the only one with the same problem. A 5lb mini sledge hammer and a decent vice got the job done fairly quickly
I think we got sent the wrong bracket, likely the one for gtr brake lines. Gktech's own website lists only an S13 z32 e brake conversion bracket that (towards the bottom) says must be used with r33 cables. No other brackets available. Meanwhile enjuku sells two brackets, one for z32 cables and one for r33. Part numbers SKU:Z32X-EGLE and SKU:Ebrake-Convers-Plate-S13 respectively. Look closely at both brackets and you'll see the threaded holes are flip flopped. With the proper thread location the bracket could be flipped and run forward like intended keeping the metal mounting point out of the way of the driveshaft. The bitch of it is I ordered directly from gktech and I confirmed by the email that I ordered the z32 cable version a couple years ago when I was amassing parts. Now that sku doesn't exist on their page (only the r33 version) so I WAS sent the wrong one and now they've stopped production on it entirely it looks like. Other retailers still list the two versions but who knows what the purchaser will actually get in the mail.
@@blackrat1228 Sorry I couldn't tag you also in the response to @vincehgarage2273 but the same applies, if you want feel free to get in touch and we can help out.
Older version of this kit is even worse, but glad to see you got it figured out.

You should see how shitty the bracket i fabbed is . . . I might have to get one of these
Couldn’t you have mounted the cables on top of the bracket instead of the bottom?
The cables were so tight that they couldn't reach and bolt up.
