Danner RAT Boots Review

Well here we are in 2022 and apparently the US Marines are no longer wearing this boot they moved onto the Danner marine expeditionary boot.
They liquidated the entire stock of rat boots.
These are on sale right now for $73 in my size. Ordered my first pair absolutely loved them ordered two more pairs and tucked them away in my closet.
For that price it is a no-brainer.

51$ brand new NIB from ebay,after an offer i did.The shipping,though,was 64$ and the VAT 24$.But if you leave in the u.s. you don't have to pay all these.Size is 11 wide and i wear 10.5

Is the waterproof version real hot in hot weather? Wondering if it's better to just get the hot version at most boots are pretty hot with gortex linings

My feet sweat in them but nothing uncomfortable nor worse than if I was traversing in water logged boots. - Grimm

I felt they fit true to their sizing. On their page they have a sizing guide so you can measure your own feet and see what size you are. I found this very helpful. - Grimm

350 is cheap for handmade boots. And Danner is handmade. Knicks are better but like 400 to 600.

On Danners website they have a link with price options. You would pick what you want done and then send your boots to them. I am saving up for a second pair so I can rotate my boots. - Grimm
