Pretty cool, IK. Could you please bring this to Modo Drums? Add a Phil Collins Kit, including the Farm Stone Room studio... and while you're at it please bring the Neil Peart Kit to Modo Drums!
Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful. Phil is using the plug, because his x got the studio. No matter how big you make it,she's gonna take it!...oh Lord
Total Studio MAX contains the plugins listed on the site, so this is not included as it came out long after Total Studio 3.5 MAX was release. You can use your IK JamPoints to take off an additional up to 30% off the currently-discounted intro pricing using JamPoints.
The Farm Stone Room is designed with both uses in mind including presets for send and insert use. It really depends on your workflow and what you'd like to get out of the sound. :)
i love the studio reverb series, i have fame and sunset sound, plus other room ir plugins. you guys should stop recording the irs through consoles and/or tapes, though - that's the major drawback of these plugins. the rooms sound great, but i'm gonna process my whole dry-wet signal through virtual consoles and tapes anyway, which, if added to already processed reverb, will make the signal sound muddy, and dusty in the transients. you should provide the absolutely clean sound of the room, and leave the processing to me, to be done separately, just like in a real recording situation, since there's no real use in having a processed wet on an unprocessed dry. since i need to process the dry anyway, and i can't process it separately - that means the wet is gonna get overprocessed, as a result. plus, anything i feed through the reverb needs to be constantly input gain staged, because of the saturation processing, and readjusted every time i adjust the source signal, which is a pain in the butt, and overcomplicating things. so only provide the room, not a combination of room - saturation/noise, etc. - that would be a lot more helpful, and also simplify things. i'd really like to see that for all the studio reverbs. otherwise great plugins. like the controls - everything you need is there, without excessive adjustments, great sounding rooms, good/inspiring looking interface, all is there - except the clean sound.
Ideally, they should provide both.. I still want whatever consoles and tapes coloration is available at those studios, because that's something none of us has access to, most of us won't ever have access to, and it is custom to that particular studio sound. Like the Fame reverb, how do you get Motown reverb without putting it through Motown custom equipment? You could probably fake it with other tools, but why do it when you have Fame Studios hardware and you can do it properly..
@@dulleeblogondy3020 how are you gonna get the motown sound with an unprocessed dry signal? and if you reprocess the wet, which you need to do, to process the dry, you're gonna lose that sound anyway, and it's gonna sound muddier and less lively than with a clean wet as a start. what you need is the room, that's what you can't get anywhere else, for consoles you can use your own emulations, and there's plenty of really good vintage emulations out there, getting really close to the real thing. get a good emi, an early neve, an api, helios, v76, trident pres, your choice, if you want that sound. and that also gives you the chance to process the sound through whichever flavor you want, instead of just a later neve, or just an ssl. you can do by yourself the stuff that you'd do in real life, you don't need to be spoon fed everything, particularly since it's still not even gonna help you in this situation, unless you leave the dry unprocessed which contradicts the whole idea.
@@Tryggvasson No, you don't have emulations of anything that's available at Fame Studios, exclusively. Everything they have is exclusive to that studio, period. And that's what I'm saying, exactly. I'm not gonna waste my time in my studio, trying to fake Motown sound with some other tools, IK Multimedia did it for me when they recorded Fame Reverb they way they recorded it. The work is done for me. And I appreciate that with my money paid to IK. It has an authentic sound right from the Fame studio, not my studio. In my studio, I can't do Motown. This is why I need the coloration I can't get and this is why I pay good money for this software. What you need, Olaf, is stop telling others what they need. You need clean, OK, no one argues with that, but if someone wants color, they are entitled to that as well as you to your clean sound. I pay money for this, no one can tell me what I need, it's my own decision. That's why I said, ideally, they should be providing both, clean and color, for both parties. Problem solved.
@@dulleeblogondy3020 they definitely should provide both if they change anything at all. The entire reason I think IK Sunset and Fame are a cut above the rest (and use Sunset every project) is because they model the full chain. It’s not just reverb IRs. The market is awash with great sounding convolution reverbs. IK’s “entire pro studio reverb chain, containing IRs AND component algorithms” is exactly the thing I go to them for. Including an option to fully solo the IR reverb wouldn’t be the worst thing however. But for me, it’s the chain along with great sounding reverb convolution that sells me. This new one will be a sure fire purchase. I’m more concerned with IK fixing the t racks installer issue. Separate installers please!!!
@@dulleeblogondy3020 man, it's uncanny how those as aggressive and definitive as you are - "period" - never know anything, and repeat marketing as "knowledge". i don't know how you're gonna get "that motown sound" - from fame studios, seeing that the "motown sound" was recorded in dozens of different studios, starting with hitsville. other than a few minor aretha franklin songs, pretty much most of the motown songs were recorded somewhere else - mostly in detroit. doesn't mean the live rooms in fame don't sound great, and i don't like them on most things, it's just that your motown obsession is almost entirely misplaced. second of all, "everything they have" is actually not exclusive to that studio, since they have an ssl and a neve console that you can find tons of emulations of - and good ones at that. it's just the ua console that's unique to them, which is the "vintage mode" of that plugin, that i personally never use, since it's so dark and saturated, that it cannot take any more darkness and saturation, which i need on the dry. third of all, i don't think you understand what i've said. even if you had the live room at hitsville or wherever else, once you start processing the signal through your own chain - which you kind of have to - you're gonna lose that "motown sound" anyway, cause you're gonna have to reprocess the reverb, as well. so, so much for your "purity of sound" - motown or anything else. i don't have anything against having the two modes - clean and processed rooms - i'm just pointing out that the processed room, other than for marketing, is not gonna help you that much anyway. and it muddies up the sound, and complicates the gain staging uselessly. "period". 🤪
With Sunset, then Fame, and now Farm, IK is absolutely killing it! Not only sonically, but also the GUI and controls. Simply awesome!

I pray the day comes IK hits Capitol Studios.. we need to finally go past the chambers and get the whole thing..
Genesis and Van Halen are two of my top five artists/bands of all time, I should probably check these out.
I need this!!!
I can feel it in the air tonight

Should you but this on a drum buss of all drums or aux reverb send
