    I recently went from a 2021 Defender P400 X to a 2016 D4 Landmark (sub 22k miles) and have to say I think I prefer the D4. Clearly it’s not as technically advanced but there is just something (or so many things!) about it which is so good and with even more versatility for my needs.🤓🙏

    I had a D3 Tdv6 se for 7 years and was a great car I sold because I couldn’t justify spending money on what it needed and bought a Defender 110 Td5 then last year I bought a D4 V8 5.0 litre and so happy 😁
    And for a good measure I drive a Series 3 Swb!
    Good review

    If they have weak cranks that should be a recall on all vehicles one would think or if they go it’s on land Rover

    • @JayTeeCars
      @JayTeeCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would like to think so, but it has not been the case with Land Rover.
      I think we should also not overplay the issue, as it still is a relatively low percentage of vehicles that snap their crank.
      Also other manufactures have similar types of problem that in an ideal world would come under a recall, even Porsche in their 911's (1998 to 2008) with the IMS bearing's that can cause catastrophic engine failure.
      I am neither defending or advocating from Land Rover...

      According to Land Rover the crank failure is a myth...according to Land Rover, well no surprise there, have you ever had to deal with a Land Rover main dealer ? They are trained at a special school to be liars and deceivers.

    • @JayTeeCars

      If it has been well maintained and receipts show it, then mileage up to 200K miles isn't a real problem.

    I notice you're running 17s, I have an LR3 I just bought, it's an 07 HSE 4.4L I was told the HSE won't fit 17s due to larger front brakes and minimum required wheel is 18s, how did you fit 17s? Or is this incorrect information?

    • @JayTeeCars
      @JayTeeCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the 2.7 diesel has smaller brakes that allows the 17’s to fit.
      The 4.4 have larger brakes and you are correct 17’s will not fit.

    I have the 4.4V8 here in the US and when it was on stock-sized tires I was getting 22mpg on the highway. Now I'm running larger K02's and a lift kit and obviously the fuel economy has decreased. I am going on a 5-hour road trip in 2 days so I'll calculate the fuel economy then. It'll be even worse now that the Biden regime is mandating more ethanol be blended into the fuel to create false advertising of lower fuel prices.

    • @JayTeeCars
