I am cutting sheets of 6mm EVA foam that has a non porous self adhesive backing sheet. Currently using a 5mm rubber mat with 3mm holes(very similar to your tile system). I am wanting to change to an mdf spoilboard system but dont get anywhere near the clamping power of the rubbber mat.All the parts that I cut are with an EOT knife that cuts through the EVA Foam and about 1.5mm into the rubber mat below. If I was to use your gasket tiling system on mdf sheet how long would it last from all the cut throughs of the oscillating knife?

Our Tile Gasket is a 1/16th inch (1.5mm) thick material. We recommend our users to cut through their sheet goods about .015 inches or .397mm. This means that the tooling bit is just skimming the top of the Tile Gasket. The life of our Tile Gasket is based off the Z depth control and accuracy. For light weight material like your EVA foam we do offer a 1/8th (3.1mm) Tile Gasket as well but the depth of the cut determines the life of the product. You only want your Z depth enough to cut through your material, any deeper and you are sacrificing gasket material and vacuum.

I don’t get the difference between the last and 2nd last product. Aren’t they the same !? I mean there’s a pocket under the part wich will Vakuum it down on both models. Could you please explain ? Thank you very much and these products are insane

I believe your are referencing the in board gasket and the cover gasket. The In Board gasket is for a dedicated fixture where you place the gasket in a channel. The gasket zeros out allowing for no Z depth adjustment and a longer life of the gasket. The Cover Gasket is a sheet material that is applied to the top of a non porous material and then cut with a drag knife tool to create the dedicated fixture. The Cover Gasket is used when the parts are too small to make a Dedicated Fixture with In Board Gasket.
