I find it more difficult to jump on a high ledge (bigger than a 2 stair height) and maintain a proper stance, balance and weight distribution in order to slide. Maybe if we practice rolling faster sliding a slippery or waxed ledge well be better at them ✊🏼
I’d say boardslide is probably a bit easier, 50-50s are tough because you have to ollie the entirety of your board onto the ledge, so noseslides still seem like a beginner trick but not as easy as boardslides and not as hard as 5050s
Ayyye I was just getting these back after a long layoff and the bit I needed was to stand on pocket, over the coping. I knew I'd been steadiest when I was completely committed to that left foot but if you're on the flat of the nose you stall from the friction or have flatten out the board, which levers your front foot up and screws your balance.
When we first do this trick we slappy to it. When we get more comfortable with this trick we ollie to it for a very long time. When we reach a certain age such as 50 and up we may go back to slappying to it. That's what I'm gonna do. Ever since I saw Chad Muska do that trick it instantly became my favorite trick. I'm a Noseslider forever.
Damn I was litterally in the process of making a tip of my own cause this is litterally my favorite trick, I learne it after bs boards and before 5050s
I would like to ask a question here, because I've been wondering something about myself. I've been skating for about 2,5 years now, not too hardcore but pretty often. I've gotten to a point where I can do the more advanced fliptricks such as inward heels and tre flips but I've yet to land my first noseslide, 50-50s are terribly hard for me too for some reason, but i can pull it off after a couple of tries. just grinding in general seems impossible to me, so I guess my question would be.. How do I get myself to progress in grinds ? I've got the backside boardslides down pretty well but i'd love to start doing noseslides... I guess i just suck :/
For me, I learned a ton of pretty complicated flatground tricks first, but I didn't work on good ollies. Once I learned to ollie really well, ledges and rails became easier. It can be boring to work on ollies but I recommend it, as its gonna make you better at absolutely everything.
oh damn this is 7 years old but just in case someone else sees this, 1) more wax 2) try smaller ledges first 3) tre flips don't get you on ledges, ollies do, so make sure you have those down to an absolute science
This trick is so basic but i dunno why for me its so damn hard,i always get a crook or it just sticks or i do get it sometimes but the whole board is in diagonal, like not the whole nose is sliding, kind of hard to explain haha
Idk man I got 50 50s and boardslides but nose slides have proven to be much more difficult. You're moving you weight back and forth multiple times very quickly. Anyone reading this, learn boardslides then 50 50s then nose slides
Hang on? If you mean your board isn't sliding..It will either be because of your nose being completely fucked or jammy surface that need wax, if your board is sliding and you can't stay with it and fall back, you need to shift more weight above the nose and stay centered
where are you spudbud81? we are all waiting for you...maybe you are scootering somewhere with your imaginary crew haha.. spudbud is definitely a skater, but a really trolling one haha
I'm going to learn to slide and grind, but I'm gonna learn the "lame" way. Caveman all day. Ollie all night. Then I will merge them together like Fronkenshteen.
What the hell is he talking about? Haha, I'm such a fucked up skater. I grew up skating on my own and I learned heelflips before kickflips and boardslides before anything. Also, I pushed mongo reg for four years before I realized that was an issue with people and that I was even doing it. Lololololol
This is one of my favorite slides. Especially when you bigspin out, its a great feeling
Wouldn't say easier than 50/50 had 50s for ever and got 5-0s still tryin learn nose slides.

This comment is 4 years old!!! Can you do this trick now???
I completely agree. If you overshoot a 50-50, you'll just roll on the top of a ledge, whereas if you overshoot a noseslide, you'll eat shit.
That’s debatable though, I learned boardslides and then nose slides. I have a really good noseslide. It really depends on the person I guess
Same. Nose slides have been super hard for me
A noseslide in no where near more basic than a board slide or 50-50

@@fishyfishy3140 personally 50 50 are much easier for me than board slides although I can do both
Haha agreed, my mates had board slides and 50s (some even 5-0s) before nose slides.
It was for me. I learned front side nose slides as well because they came easier to me than 50-50
ye i learned 50s first
he said "get it up"
No shit Sherlock

Casewell seems like a really cool guy.

Just stick at it
I'm totally opposite! I can do rails real good!! They're easy for me, but when I skate flat I can't land my flip tricks. Only a couple basic ones
For me, I learned a ton of pretty complicated flatground tricks first, but I didn't work on good ollies. Once I learned to ollie really well, ledges and rails became easier. It can be boring to work on ollies but I recommend it, as its gonna make you better at absolutely everything.

how good do they turn with the stock bushings?
You guys should put a couple bails (attempts of trick) at the end of the video, so we can see what all can go wrong with the specified trick.
I hate this trick, always stick. Always.
Lean back
Wax
@@oyophant4745 are ya winnin, son?
I learned it boardslide. 50-50. Then noseslide. haha
I don't even know why I'm watching this. lol
I did it on a ledge instead of a curb I wanted to see how to perfect it
This really helped me
"Even more basic that a 50-50". Me sitting here trying to learn noseslides and having done flip front boards and flip back 50's.
Can anyone help me with my kickflips. I get the spin and kick it out right but when I bring my foot back I curve it round the board, what do I do?
are krux trucks any good?
where is that skatepark?
wich is easyer backside or frontside??
Backside, front side would make you go backwards, unless you're doing it fakie.
i can 180 to switch smith, back crooks, front nosegrind, bs board fs board front lip 5050 5-0, 180 to switch nosegrind, but i cant do this trick...
hardest trick for me right now
And today Shitler is going to teach us how to bs Noseslide
noseslidey genocidey
yop guys i'm french and i just wanted to know why he says "Like ..?" at 1:36 instead of "Like that" or "Like it" ... thx !
cus thats how it is lol
il dit like so c'est pareil
trying to learn this on caswell berry pro enjoy deck

This trick is so basic but i dunno why for me its so damn hard,i always get a crook or it just sticks or i do get it sometimes but the whole board is in diagonal, like not the whole nose is sliding, kind of hard to explain haha
I can't stay on and slide wtf, i hit it bit i keep slipping out
i almost watched that commercial 20 times in the last 3 minutes
setup video?
I have this trick on lock, but still can't backside 5050. That trick feels impossible.
Armaan McLeod backside 5050s are not much harder than fs, just make sure you Ollie far enough to be locked in
i got 50-50s, 5-0s, crook, and smith. But i cant get a good noseslide.
Hey, I can do that!
I don’t understand slappys for the life of me, learning these now straight on a ledge, I managed to nose stall but haven’t got it to slide
been skating for 5 years now and i never learnt this trick
"I dunno...I dunno...I act like I don't want to be here..."
lol i can both fs/bs board and 50-50 but never nose-slided anything
I learned these in a day
no, he's aproaching the ledge with his back facing it. so backside
Shane heyle should teach this trick
no,its backside because his back is facing the ledge 1:43
Idk man I got 50 50s and boardslides but nose slides have proven to be much more difficult. You're moving you weight back and forth multiple times very quickly. Anyone reading this, learn boardslides then 50 50s then nose slides
How do you hang on to these.....? I can't seem to be able to hang on more than a sec.... Could it be because of my nose being pretty worned out?
Hang on? If you mean your board isn't sliding..It will either be because of your nose being completely fucked or jammy surface that need wax, if your board is sliding and you can't stay with it and fall back, you need to shift more weight above the nose and stay centered
Going straight for first try
How do i still not know who this spudbud gentelmen is?
00:00 look hes face..
you make it look so easy.. fuck.. lol :)
am i the only one who feels like back tailing this ledge seems way riskier than back boarding
I learned to 50 50 first
I find these quite hard I learnt kickflip 5050 before these
I learned boardslides then noseslides, still can’t 50-50 but my noseslide is smooth and I can switch manual out of a front boardslide
I managed to teach my self how to but can only slide an inch
I learned on a ledge I find it easier
indys for life
where are you spudbud81? we are all waiting for you...maybe you are scootering somewhere with your imaginary crew haha.. spudbud is definitely a skater, but a really trolling one haha
"like so" like so"
i'm gonna try this lol so fucking scary
what happened to his hair?!
This is frontside!!
and two backside bigspins! lol
i have a really good noseslide on my channel
I'm going to learn to slide and grind, but I'm gonna learn the "lame" way. Caveman all day. Ollie all night. Then I will merge them together like Fronkenshteen.

Incredibly idiotic, saying this is less advanced than a boardslide. Why was that nonsense not edited out.
