00:08:30 is very important. The dog is changing positions to be balanced. He's aware that he can't hold certain positions/angles too often and for too long to avoid being exploited.
I IGL'ed for some of my lower skilled/ranked/level FACEIT Teams (lvl 2-5) that I put together with some friends and player I met in pugs, and the first thing I did was make a default for the maps we were practicing or playing, and I cannot say enough times how much a default helps especially at these lower ranks. We were extremely strong on Mirage because of the way we played really slow default style T-Sides, and took away each part of map and just suffocated the CT's. If you want to get good at IGL'ing and playing coordinated I suggest really honing in your T-Side defaults and I know I'm not really one to talk since I'm like a lower level FACEIT player, but it really does help and gives you TON of options as the round goes on. :)
5-6 years ago Olofmeister was streaming matchmaking and he played dust2 with 4 russians. They did not realize it was him for a few minutes. One of them explained to Olofmeister how to play ct mid because Olofmeister made some mistakes there in his opinion. I will never forget that.
It makes a lot of sense that Na’vi and Gambit do very good Defaults considering the guy who Pioneered it Played with both of the influencers on the teams. Props to Zeus, everyone called him the brain dead and yet here we are where every single good team knows how to play like his teams did.
I really like how information dense all your videos are! It is impossible to come away from watching these without at least a couple of concrete ideas for improving at the game.
We dont deserve You EliGE. Great human being, great player, best sprayer of all time, and working hard to pass on some lessons to the youngins. He is like Steel but less malding, and uh...... Curls. Yes, less curls

Great breakdown! I have never gotten into a MM game and had anyone in my team understand terms like "Default" or "Contact play", and they usually die before I finish explaining :(
maybe I can do that in the future as well! Teams default in valorant as well, but it is just choosing which utility to use and where rom which character
I might eventually in the future, but I don't think I'm gonna focus on it specifically. You can apply the concepts here to other maps, but it is possible I go back and look at some on different maps for specific videos!
@@ExZ1te waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Nooo way dude. I honestly 10000000% thought this was standard csgo. Oh my god. No way. Third party? Oh my lord. My mind is so blown. I would have never thought.
ty for the great video again, these are very helpful! i was wondering could you make a video about positioning/how to improve it and what good positioning even is exactly? that would be very helpful and thanks again for these videos!
Thanks for the great content. I thought I was making a play in my head but when I saw this video I learned that this is just a common play of pro teams 😂
Hello @elige can you please teach what the CTs should do when countering defaults? Correct timing to do info play, some ct default map control tactics, etc. Would help in decision making 😊
Thank you so much for making this video. I don’t know if I will ever be able to execute this is PUGS because I mostly solo queue but with this knowledge at least I will be able to understand the approaches in pro games!
QUESTION: So the only thing a default achieves is making sure no CT rushes or backstabs and delays the time, but I don't understand how that is any more advantageous than a normal blind rush if the CTs just play passive and keeps holding. Also why waste so much utility for the sake of delaying? I guess what I am asking is, how a default gives you enough info to decide on the endgame which gives more advantage than a blind strat.
Beautiful video. Small error in subtitle scripting, "Fake Default Variations" got titled "Extremity Defaults". I thought there was a continuation to it lol
