At 19 I had a near death experience.. what's interesting is that a lot of people including myself do not walk through the valley of the shadow of death you fly down that black hole as fast as you can I mean it is so fast and if you listen to other entities they will tell you the same lucky for me I seen God on my right it was white behind me God said call upon me so I did years later I looked that up call upon me in the book the Bible. Please know that the afterlife is absolutely real God is absolutely real❤
I remember growing up around the time when many western Christian movies started popping up and a large amount of these movies were near death experiences. And what always bothered me that rather than what u said about repenting, they would go on an monetize or lecture ppl from those near death experiences. They would also never even try to verify if they were being misled thru this experience. Love ur channel and the vids u have as someone interested in the Orthodox Church.
I think it’s wonderful that Orthodoxy has maintained the wisdom to refrain from creating a concrete theology around these experiences. Fr Seraphim Rose’s book ‘The Soul After Death’ is alarmingly prescient to what people obsess talking about now in regards to these. God bless ☦️
They also almost always speak of feeling a love that is beyond the love we experience on Earth. I have heard so many say “I know it sounds cliche, but God IS love. And yes, they often see the harm they caused other people and it makes them want to come back and do better…repent, in other words;) They got a gift for sure even though most are very upset that they have to return to earth.
Verified NDEs (emphasis on 'Verified') shattered my naturalistic worldview, the first step back to Christianity (I got Chrismated last month, by the way).
Actually NDE's are composed of 2 parts. There's a common denominator to all of them. I.e. they wake up feeling much better than they've felt in years or ever before. Then there's the variables. These are according to what they've built up during life. Therefore of course each person's experience will differ & be unique to themselves. As for ancient people's experience with NDE's, it was much more limited bc populations were smaller. Communications were more by word of mouth. The Egyptians, however, had a very highly evolved system for how to think of the afterlife and Christianity does have some of it's roots into that
The way I see it, these experiences don’t have to be supernatural in nature to be important. Think of them as a super dream if you will. And this is not to dunk on theological implications don’t miss understand my meaning, but I think ppl can over spiritualize their experiences, and justify something that’s not good because they now believe it’s super important and it makes them special in Gods eyes.
Where in scripture does it say you have to go to church to worship? Aren't we told that God resides in temples "not made by the hands of man" (we are the temple) and to worship in spirit (bearing good fruits/works)?
I mean, if you feel you have a firm enough grasp on the true meaning of scriptures, hermeneutics and all, have mastered the ability to pray without ceasing, etc youre certainly more along the royal path than I am. But I think the main purpose of a physical church is not because God is confined to its walls, but because we are all spiritually sick. And the church, specifically the orthodox church, is the hospital that can help us heal our suffering souls. Plus, and I speak from experience here, people who tend to claim that they can just "read the Bible and pray at home"....don't. They just want the title of being "spiritual" without having to fess up.
See Rev. Robert Spitzer S.J.! He has done great research on this topic! He’s a genius: psychologist, theologian, scientist, philosopher and more! He is also featured on EWTN’s ‘Father Spitzer’s universe’, hosted by Doug Keck!
I see a lot of universalism in the description of these NDEs. It's all about love, and it doesn't matter what you do in life. Also a lot of reincarnation-like descriptions.
"How do I use it for repentance?" makes absolutely NO sense. True repentance comes from the heart. With the Holy Spirit making intercession. Thats repentance.
Turning from sin does not save any soul though. A heart poster which trusts alone that Christ is God and what he did as enough on our behalf as sufficient for salvation, that's what saves the soul.
I had an NDE when I was an atheist about 8 years ago. I’m no longer an atheist.
I had a NDE it indeed brought me back to God. ❤

Amazing videos
Christ is Risen!! Spot on, as ever.

Amen, bruh.

It was also limited because they didn’t have the technology to resuscitate like we do now, hence the uptick in these experiences.

Ya, but the majority describe the spiritual realm as more real than here….so🙏🏻

If Paul wrote letters to the 'invisible church' what address did he send them to?

Yes, most NDE testimonies on TH-cam describe what you say and contradict Christian teaching.

True repentance includes and necessitates action and a change in way of life and being.

It way more about seeing light or rivers your trying to downplay it..
