I'm using Catching Freedom and Society Man..
I think that Society Man will improve off his showing in the Wood Memorial race.. he stayed on quite well holding off a fast closing Protective Class, a horse that I believe will do well in the Belmont Stakes. Protective Class closed into a rather slow pace but finished gamely. He won't be in the Derby, but I like this horse.
Who is the only horse proven to be able to have a rail ride? What horse usually hits the ticket? Who is it? Kentucky Horse? Kentucky trainer? Kentucky jockey? Mystik Dan, Kenneth McPeek and Brian Hernandez. If it rains it pours!
I’m with Keeneland Dan with regards to Dornoch - I’ve watched that race back a couple times now and you can indeed see that he’s getting held back a few times throughout the race. But I’m totally fine with everyone tossing him 😉. And I’m on the exact same horses, Just Steel, Mystik Dan, too. Nothing definite yet as we have a couple weeks but these are great candidates to upset and or show up. I’ve liked Fierceness and Sierra Leone since their maidens but Fierceness is unreliable and Sierra Leone is a dead closer in a race that can bury the best of them ( so much Tapit Trice vibes with this one).
Sierra Leonne doesn't go into the gate last race all the horses sat there with weight on them for several minutes and it looked like that might have impacted the field at the end

agree with jim sierra leone is the key pick in that unlike fierceness you know what your getting 1st-2nd .
Sierra Leonne had an unfair advantage in his last race as it too them several minutes to get hi. In the gate. All the other horses sat there with weight and the field gased out and Sierra Leonne capitalized. The horses should have been scratched it took too long he didn't want to post up. You can't use that rave because of that reason

Fierceness could run like Two Phils last year. Run with a hot pace hold on for second. Ed is wrong regarding his assertation.
Let’s get real. Fierceness is not going to gallop like the Florida Derby. Patently ridiculous. This is a 20-colt field and I want a colt with a modicum of speed, even if a “closer” at heart. He has to have an ability to run fast for at least 3/4 of a mile. Give me a colt with quickness to get out of the gate and get into prime position, and from there cruise until the far turn, maybe 4-6L off the lead, maybe inside or between colts, and let him take the bit cruise to contention at top of lane and then hope he has the finishing heart to close the deal, especially if you are betting place/show, the assumption being that anyone can win but it takes a runner to finish a clear 2nd or 3rd. A lot of great colts have run 2nd and 3rd in this race. All or nothing on the win end requires something a little more than what Fierceness has thus far shown in terms of patterns…
This deserves an award.

The usual BS. I can read the Form and make my own selections without all the this horse or that horse. Pick three and bet the trifecta and pick 4 and bet the super. Let's see how good you really are. Anyone can BS on a horse show about five possible winners. After the race post your tickets so we can see what you actually bet.
