I use a heavy 8 foot swimbait rod with a 300 or 400 size baitcaster, you can tighten down the spool tension pretty good since the A-rig is usually 2-3 ounces total. The two bottom arms with heavier underspins for extra flash/vibration, also go with a slightly larger bait on those two arms than the other 3.
I rig the bottom 2 arms of the a rig with a heavier weight than the other 3 arms. I’ll also use underspins on all arms as well, when I want to be extra lol
Crushing it with the A-rig. I like to carolina rig cast my A-rig. You basically spin it in a loop and then chuck it. I also use it to cast far. Where did you rent the skiff??
Hey Tony, i was on the Dolphin out of fisherman’s landing for a half day and I was using a umbrella rig with 5 hooks and someone told me that its illegal and I can only use 3 hooks?
Correct me if I am wrong, I believe for rock fishing it's two hooks maximum and for offshore I believe it's three hooks I'm not sure don't take my word for it. I've been using a rigs with five hooks or four hooks all the time. I mean sabikis have five or six hooks if you think about it
using a 8ft medium heavy "dobyns fury fr 805flip" for the a rig with a shimano tekota " small frame " and it works better that the diawa the bait caster was back lashing too much for me also . the nano force mh was just to light for a rig
"Are you tired of your bush looking like eel grass"🤣 great stuff bro!
Had to watch this one on the couch. So tired from killing it on mission bay today. Great video. Posted on the community all my catches. -toilet gang

3 hooks in fresh water in CA. 2 hooks for rockfish.
That Applies to freshwater fishing But for saltwater fishing you’re allowed to use as many hooks as you want

Harbor island was dead today a lot of bait fish but no spotted bass
Wat up homie from the Bayarea How much to rent?
Man I have getting bit with the a rig recently
🎣 LLFFGG!
Not sure what rod you used for the a-rig. Longer rod helps for the A-rig game. 8’-up. Fast-XFast. 🤙🎣
