Little side note, in my experience it is way more efficient to just do loops on the same donkey until you get it to level 6, after that you start getting 1/20th of the xp per tick you were getting before that. Most effective option would be to reset everytime you level to around level 2 or 3, but honestly... Might as well move the donkeys nonstop than have to stop to sell and take a different donkey out constantly. Great video! True, you can make this method as active or chill as you want with varying EXP. The donkey experts I talked to prefer doing 3 ticks maximum. It gets quite slow after that.

Complete summary (no pun intended) with the key info: Training EXP gained is connected to the mount EXP gained of the current level of the mount. As donkeys need less EXP per level than horses each tick covers a bigger percentage of that level. I will level my other mounts now :D.
it's still comparable EXP to horse taming while being less active. But since PA increased the minimum level you can catch in the wild to t6, catching horses can make quite a bit of money. So I'd give both methods a try and see whether you prefer making money or being lazier.
The only thing stopping me from doing this method is the money. While taming profits isn't groundbreaking, a humble 200-300m/hr helps me feel like I'm not wasting my limited playtime.

Can you explain how a shai gets the 50% more movement speed for donkeys? Is it a quest you have to do or is it bult into her kit? I don't see anything on my shai when I press K for her passives. My shai is lvl 49 if that matters as I like to make long loops on my wagon overnight and don't want to die to a pker.
Would you recommend investing in donkey gear or would that not be worth it? Edit: I tried the method and it works great. The journeys go so fast that I doubt it's worth swapping the gear over every time.
horse is better. Use a wagon only when you need to get a bunch of t6 horses for breeding t8's and you tend to be afk for more than 8 hours. Or if you want to imperial trade t6 at lvl 15. There is no other reasons to use wagon for horse training. Wagon training was always doubtful.
I will give some points too. Taming horse = 0.3% exp /// lvl up shop donkey and shop horse from 1 to 2 both gives 0.05% exp. /// Donkey requires less exp than horse, so it goes to lvl 2 in 1 tick while horse do the same in 2 ticks. And there is literally no point at training them past lvl 2
Oddly enough this got me interested in something I quit on a while back; Krogdalo Donkey gear. I only had once piece, the shoe, and I have been using donkeys pretty much everywhere I go. Across multiple characters. When I am focusing something, like when I was leveling farming, I was popping my 3% donkey life exp buff and every trip to town to drop my seeds, I just trade in a new donkey. I had slowly been collecting through the two coral dailies about 1-2 petals a piece, but decided to go ahead and get set up to start doing dailies out there and fishing over night, hopefully toward completing set some day. Might be a good video for you to revisit, there hasn't been much that has changed except you can use continuous care for the seed farming if you do the kill rotation like Kiranis or Moon glider showed. Having to remove and replace the gear slows down the process here though, so not too sure if anyone would be up for it. Still a great video here, and I rewatch it often, so thanks!
So i learned that this is actually more active for people that have t8s to train. The leveling to 15 with donkey is amazing for starting til having gear for training but the moment you get t8s you actually get way more exp than the donkey easily.
@@summer_rains I also technically tested for 15 minute span. For both and I got more exp from the t8. I tried this with no buffs at lvl 1 for both of them. I also tested with krogdalo horseshoes +7 and donkey shoes +7. And still I got more in the t8. But stable to stable I guess I understand that could be the biggest burst of exp. So I can agree with you vid now. My apologizes for the misunderstanding. I do wanna add tho that this does feel to active at a point where I feel it's better to just tame at this point but this is more personal I guess. thanks mate, but I'm just worried that Calpheon is going to be more lag if many people start doing this because it is already lag enough right now in SEA since many people go afk around the city.

This works better than expected. If you factor in the time it takes to also find the horses, I can see why this is such a well guarded secret.

Donkey EXP goes up quite hard
lvl. 1: 1k
lvl. 2: 3k
lvl. 3: 5k
You can also do a lap with 1 or 2 ticks, though it will be a lot more active.

She just does. You can time a loop with and without Shai to see the difference.

Remember that you replace the donkey very frequently, so equipping and unequipping the gear would take a lot of time

Hm you say 80% of tame exp, but then say shai get 50% speed buff, meaning shai will earn 120% of taming rate?

T8s give you more exp. Donkeys are bis only before getting training gear and t8s to level.

Pen manos trainers is way better than SE clothes. It's also a 60b item. SE clothes +3 or +4 are totally fine.

I'm not sure if we're on the same page. The donkey strategy does not involve leveling to 15. That's really slow EXP.
I think you are supposed to swap the donkey after every stable keeper visit
