Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

-- You are an expert ???
May be NE is part of both regions.
NE Manipur Kings were Hindus and had Hindu civilization over 1000 years .
Assam was fully Hindus and even fought islamic invaders .
Just because some tribes still follow pray nature, doesn't make it an outsider.
In Hinduism, Nature worshipping is perfectly acceptable.
That's why we don't convert Pagans.

Once British missionary visited one Konyak villege, those people were so aggressive towards him so he ran off to another parts of Nagaland and from there the Britishers gradually convinced the headhunters through native language translator (what im told). In result Konyak received Christ late than other tribes that Konyak are celebrating some 25yr, some 50yr and some 75yr.

This is brilliant, I grew up in a conservative Brahmin household in which everyone shits on things they don't deem to be part of "Indian Culture". No ethnic or religious group has a monopoly on Indianness. Minority religions and people from tribes or scheduled castes have been shat on. This was eye-opening and heartwarming.
Kudos to Sonny and the team, this is nothing short of ground-breaking. It reminded me of how Anthony Bourdain used to effortlessly discuss deeply intense political issues. Sonny did just that and took it a step farther by doing it in a light hearted way, throwing in some comedy in a way in which only Sonny can. This is an evolution of Bourdain.

Can a dumb image breath breath into you? Can a dumb man made image speak to you? Can a dumb man made image heal you from diseases? Even a two headed baby is a god to you people. You are too superstitious! There is no god that is made with man’s hands. When you give food to your man made gods the monkeys who are wiser than you are, come down and eat the food. Why don’t you wait and see if your man made gods will eat the food, because there are just images and images cannot eat or hear, they have no life. You need the mighty God who can give you everlasting life, him you should worship, not an animal. Imagine people in your country are dying of starvation and you have an animal that the real Gos made to eat, to sustain you and you worship it! Jesus is the real God, worship him.

This show is no longer about food for real guys. Wow. I never knew about this part of India until I watched this episode yesterday 🙆🏾‍♀️

Your videos with tribes are really good. I still am confused though about how you deal with risk assessment for different foods, or if you worry about getting sick from things like raw animal blood.

Awww, auntie Alabu from the middle of the film, saying "yeeees, ooof coooourse!" to eating dogs and cats, are sooooo nice and friendly, I stopped caring about the food, I just wanted her to be my real auntie and serve me non-pet food. A very huggable woman. 🙂
