Hi! I am from the state of Kerala in South India. I can't thank you enough for bringing out the wonderful variety of food especially in my Country.
Would love to visit the North East and try some of the unique dishes.
We do have steamed rice flour here too we call it 'puttu'. Also the pita made by frying using rice flour and jaggery is called neyyappam here.
We enjoy pork and beef which is available widely. So I guess there is some similarity between the South and the east.
Wish the North East retains it's unique culture.

May be NE is part of both regions.
NE Manipur Kings were Hindus and had Hindu civilization over 1000 years .
Assam was fully Hindus and even fought islamic invaders .
Just because some tribes still follow pray nature, doesn't make it an outsider.
In Hinduism, Nature worshipping is perfectly acceptable.

This is brilliant, I grew up in a conservative Brahmin household in which everyone shits on things they don't deem to be part of "Indian Culture". No ethnic or religious group has a monopoly on Indianness. Minority religions and people from tribes or scheduled castes have been shat on. This was eye-opening and heartwarming.
Kudos to Sonny and the team, this is nothing short of ground-breaking. It reminded me of how Anthony Bourdain used to effortlessly discuss deeply intense political issues. Sonny did just that and took it a step farther by doing it in a light hearted way, throwing in some comedy in a way in which only Sonny can. This is an evolution of Bourdain.

Being a Mallu raised in The US, I would've never guessed this was the Indian North East. India is truly Incredible. The sheer amount of diversity in Language, culture and people is crazy, in the best way.

Sonny and this show never fail to make me laugh out loud. When he was trying the wasps and they kept offering him more insects, I was rolling! BEFRS packs such a punch of good energy, wrapped in humor, great story-telling, connection, and culture. Even when the food isn’t easily palatable, the show is. Truly the best ever.

Sunny, its such a big shock you came down to north east India to explore and showcase the unique food and culture, where many TH-camrs doesn't even know it exist inside India. The ethnicity and cultural differences will shock you if you cover more part of the region. Make a series on it, you won't be disappointed with experience.
