    Whats your favourite affordable multi FX?
    This thing is insane value for money... just over £250 for all those features... I wish things like this existed when I started playing guitar!

    The one thing that they missed a trick with is to add a bass amp and cab or two. Most multi fx users are home users or those making home demos, and so useful to be able to run guitars and bass through these. The Hotone Ampero is similarly priced and does this well by having the usual type of guitar gear, but also throws in an acoustic simulator or two and a bass amp or two. This should be standard on all multi fax unit.

    Hey Leigh,
    This is me first time writing to your channel. I would like to ask couple question that I really consider before buy that specific processor.
    I know that you already show poly pitch. However, I don't think it's mentioned enough. I heard that processors have issue with poly pitching, almost glitchy sound when you try to tune down like an octave. Does this processor have that kind of issue? I mean Is it work well like digitech? or just junk for that specific manner ?
    I had never own a processor but I heard like, if you have option 3th party IR, than you have much better sounds. Since I like heavier stuff like Linkin Park early albums, Limp Bizkit, Korn, etc. Will it survive to my need?
    Also, in one review I saw that there is a lagging/switching strange issue while you using footswitch. Is that fixed?
    To be more specific, when you on/off pedal with footswitch at live, it's wierdly kill the volume and load up kinda thing. Is it fixed or still an issue of this processor.
    I am sorry If I bother much,
    Kind Regards.

    Answering the general question you’ve offered, lol, the 1st processor I owned in 1989, the Digitech GSP-5, blew my mind as I was checking it out in a store. It didn’t have distinct amp models per se, you just adjusted general parameters, I guess sort of like a Tech 21 PSA, only it was digital. And I must say, it was the “warmest”-sounding guitar processor I’ve encountered since. It gave out eventually, but it lasted nearly 20 years.

  • @NicolasFrucot

    You don't mention the fact that there is a huge cut in the sound when you change presets, making it totally unusable in a live situation. Bought this thing and regret it now. I'm just waiting for a firmware update that may never come

    • @ChristopherCBerg
      @ChristopherCBerg ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah - there's NO way to go in and edit the various patched yourself (READ SARC). Take a couple of minutes and adjust the gain, master etc. and make it work the way you want. Or... simply complain about simple issues that you can fix yourself!

    A very detailed review - thanks. Thinking about the ' only one effect at a time,' limitation, could I select, say, a reverb from those in the DNA and then have other reverb pedals plugged into the send / return channel and switch the DNA one on at the same time as the send/ rtn. pedals, so achieving multiple reverbs? Ta.

      That’s a good question… I’m not 100% sure but I would assume so. You’d need to turn everything off, including the amp sim blocks and just use it to pass signal to the computer. In theory it’s possible!

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question.... I'm not sure... I lost the power supply when I moved house... I have it here somewhere. For this video I just powered it off another power supply I had laying around. It runs off a standard 9v DC but needs 1A of power.
      If the included power supply isn't compatible then it should be fairly cheap to get one that is!

    The line 6 isn't much more expensive. I know nothing about these units, are the patches compatible with a line 6?

    • @LeighFugeGuitar
      @LeighFugeGuitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      They aren't compatible, but you could probably get close to re-creating them between the units manually. The only limitation this has is only being able to have one of each block, but the Line 6 Helix can have multiple of each block type.

    The kemper has a 10$ cpu in it. Let that sink in, the 2000$ rig is just software and a metal box. You can get similar tone on you iphone for 10$.
    What you pay for is the branding and the box.

    • @thefloop2813
      @thefloop2813 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dont forget the digital artifacting, harmonic distortion, and aliasing akin to the old mid 2000s digitech stomboxes you also get with a Kemper. Its the best feature!
      Just profile an amp, and use the same recorded DI in DAW to preform a Null test between the profiled rig and the kemper, and youll hear exactly what im talking about.

    • @ChrisM541
      @ChrisM541 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, there's a 'wee bit' more than a cpu + software contributing to what we hear from the Kemper. the Kemper has, rightly, made it's name as one of the best in the business, and has been, and is used, by countless touring and recording professionals. You might want to ask yourself why these pros aren't using their iphones + cheap hw interface instead!

    Digging what I’m hearing. I do wonder why they chose certain amp models. Like why emulate Marshall’s 9000 rack preamp instead of a Jubilee? There are definitely more expensive units with a less impressive array of amps, enclosures that are way too big, and excess noise.
