Omg I just had this for my lunch about a hour ago, didnt have the same snacks but I had the vanilla pound cake, skittles sour, crackers and cheese, and a lemon based drink
This was the first MRE I ever had and mine funny enough came with crushed red pepper and I absolutely loved it.
"It has the ability to kill within 5 meters...from the toxicity from another orifice." lol You da best gundog.
Love the chili mac. I really enjoy seeing your ideas on how to mix it up and make these meals more interesting using the components. Looking forward to the rest of this series.
I think it's safe to say Chili Mac is "the bomb". Great review dude!!
My buddy who was in the core said this was his all time favorite along with SOS.as always gundog your review is honest and awesome. I finally got someone with a brain at MRE Nation that knew Alaska was apart of the United States.
🇺🇸Quite clever flambeing the sugar on the blueberry crumble! I'm not in the service unlike a lot of my family members but I was served MREs after Hurricane Katrinain 2005. We were in Hammond, Louisiana a little north of Lake Pontchartrain where the levees had broken and I'm not sure if it's bc we were starving for a good week before the army trucks came to give us the MREs but I must say, they were not bad actually! I thought they were hella good and I'm quite a finicky eater! A lot of people says just because I was starving maybe so oh, I actually got a hold of a chili mac MRE but it's the reduce sodium kind so I'm going to try it out I'm actually excited cuz I haven't had one since 2005! ...GOD, how I SOOOOO DO NISSS that jalapeno cheddar sauce though 🤤... I actually MISS that particular taste on that MRE bread...Like, I actually DO LOVE IT! Just one of those things, I cant describe it...almost has a nostalgic effect on me. Hm...? The MRE I had last night didnt have that (prob bc it was the 'low~sodium,' perhaps?) and what in the hell happened to the lil Tabasco sauce inside?!?! I got a couple MREs on a whim the other night just for memory purposes so maybe where I got it from didn't come with all that stuff because I didn't get matches. Anything that you would get in the normal MREs that I used to get a long time ago it was still hella good I love those little heating pouches or so fun! 🇺🇸LOVE AND RESPECT TO ALL OUR TROOPS! Personally Beef Stew is my favorite with Spaghetti being second. Being in the Army back in the early 80s MCI's were the choice and I lived off of those and the early LRRP rations. The canned fruit was great.
I don't think chili mac was a MRE back in the 80's/90's. Spaghetti was the best when I was in, but only cause it had M&Ms in it HAHA

That cobbler with cookie bits and sugar idea is great. That might be enough to let someone in the field feel like they were somewhere else for a little while.

Could of done a warm military moca kinda thing with the coffee and chocolate protein drink.
But it's kinda sad that current menu's are lacking. Was way more goodies not real long ago.
I did talked to the tobacco plant the other day because I live not far from them and they said the are working a deal to get back into the mre's

When I was in, they were the brown bag MRE''s. Then they had the first gen FRH, which made the omelette with ham tolerable.
I ended up hating them all HAHA Those brown bag MREs were the worst
Nah. I loved the spaghetti, beef stew, corned beef hash, bbq meatballs. I think I just didn't like chicken ala king and the omelet.

Very cool sir . Protein drink, is, lol, almost solid friend. All components, look awesome. As you previously stated, the main, is A solid, meal. Good for all. Good all around standby ration. Another orifice, lower region, LOL. Grenade radius. LOL. I work with A gentleman like that. Slightly aromatic, to say the least. Nice idea, with the cobbler, and, cookie crumbles. I’ve had chili mac and it smelled good but had almost no taste it wasn’t terrible but I made the unfortunate mistake of adding an entire packet of ground red pepper. Also I made the mistake of eating two whole mre’s at one time would not recommend doing that. The other one was spaghetti and beef sauce and I made it gundogstyle even put tobasco in it
Oh! btw, mixing the coffee, creamer and choc protein shake...? 🤤 MOCHA!!! HELLO! Lol. bc ur right, man...choc protein pudding indeed! Why no more Tabasco though? Please snt tell me bc a few peeps had some heart~burn...Thanx again, bruh!.U know, it would be hella interesting to get a huge box of MREs and to see all the different things you can do with each one I'm talking mixing different packages together and everything creating totally different new comboz! I'm talking Totally new entrees, desserts, even appetizers, why not? Wh. channel THAT would be too! Wonder if they have one?

I always kept a bottle of Tobasco in my butt pack because I got tired of asking other people for their extra mini-bottles of Tobasco. I would never eat chili mac (my favorite MRE) without loads of Tobasco. USMC 1996-2006

Coffee instant type 2 and calfe are my favorite MRE coffees
@@arturos.l.2248 type 2 is my favorite too. Seems to have a more bold and robust flavor than the type 3 or geneial.
