A "FIVE STAR RATING" for this group, IMHO!... I've traveled there several times over the years to attend their "Quarterly Sensing Hands Gathering". Some very high level Tai Chi practitioners of various styles from all over the East Coast often show up there, and the QUALITY of the folks showing up there never fails to make it a humbling and mind-expanding experience!... But, it also needs to be said that "The Wu Wei Tai Chi School" has some of the very nicest people you're ever likely to meet!🙏
The Yang form of T’Ai Chi Chuan is full and empty in each posture with Grace and positive Energy called Chi( Vital Force) not every person does this beautiful form exactly alike. Reason being our anatomy and thoughts are very different. If you do as these wonderful people are doing it’s a great accomplishment. There are so many positive health benefits in acquiring this Martial exercise. I Re did this form correctly in its entirety and I’m very excited to have completed my goal! Bless your soul Buddardarma and Yang Chen Fu! Thanks again.
Very nice. Lots of taijiquan on TH-cam is showy and external. I’ve viewed this clip several times and the guy in the black pants and dark blue shirt ( behind and left ) is wonderful to watch. So soft, great structure, connected and released. Beautiful Tai chi.
What a pleasure to see this done with style and grace. We CMC devotees don't like the term "short form". There is so much nuance and layering to CMC form, we consider it a style onto itself. Upright posture, lady's wrist, silk reeling, back leg never straight and none of the flourish and goose stepping seen in contemporary Yang.
Congratulations on such a wonderful group performance of the CMC 37 form. The location is perfectly suited to practise together like this. Joanne Chang demonstrates a very strong root, yet remains extremely soft and yielding in the movements.
Years ago I learned this form at the New York School of Tai Chi Chuan, which was directed by Patrick Watson at that time. This video brings back memories from that time.
This is a shortened and much simplified form from Yang style 108. It’s easier to learn but lost the gracefulness and beauty of the original style. But increased the gentleness and softness of Tai Ji .

Thank you for this. I'm learning the Cheng Man Ching short form and it is helping me when I watch videos of people demonstrating it.
