I think the train driving isolation job just broke this man. He seem to have been through a lot which is making him see things in a myopic way. The Indians, Pakistanis and Chinese are doing well because they are united and also ready to take some risks (investments, own businesses, higher education etc)
Whilst most of we Ghanaians get easily contented with what ever comes our way. We definitely need a different mindset which will then help us develop Ghana as a whole.
People get enthused with the idea of starting a business in Ghana only for the system to disappoint them. That is when you realize that owning a property or investment abroad is the best option regardless of having kids there or not.

@@Glass_Nkoaa lol. I am not under any of these categories but I found it deep. Everything he said there is deep. Why will you spend 14k to get an entry and struggle to raise that amount which might take you years? Some can't even get this back. The thing is, the choice to migrate and be successful is subjective but it's rare for everyone to share that success story.

    • @Glass_Nkoaa

14 thousand is peanuts. U can easily save that money here unless unwant to show off. And coming here is not just about the money as u get to secure ur future and that of ur family. At the end you and ur future child would have a British passport and access to all the benefits of the UK including Free Healthcare( as in weather or nkt u work). U cannot compare that to life in Ghana.

@@baffour9924 and it's very very very stupid to come without documents and blame the system or country. When we talk of coming here we mean coming the right way. Either coming to University and applying for a job afterwards or coming to join ur parents with an indefinite leave or coming to join the spouse. U can even come for holidays and join the Army. What I hate is those who come through da wrong means and start speaking for everyone that Abrokyere is hard and all that.

Make u no deceive urself. I live here in the UK and I can assure u that the man has personal issues. A cleaner who works hard in the UK is far far better off than a doctor in Ghana. The way he glorifies 4×4 is funny. Most hard working cleaners can afford that easily. Also if u work hard here it should only take u at most 3 years to build a mansion in Ghana and not the 10-15 years he was talking about. Train drivers also earn far more than the amount he mentioned. And the tax deducted is certainly not that much. He seems to be exergerating everything. He looks depressed anyway. I wonder what he went through in Russia because his story no dey add up. How can these people just let u go like that and send u money for 2 years without u doing any business for them especially as a black man. He also doesn't appreciate his life about and seems so bitter about life abroad. Saying his son is a doctor in Ghana and so is ok is very naive. Assuming his son gets an accident and cannot work in Ghana then his life will be very miserable. Also the freedom that comes with acquiring a western passport is priceless. U can just travel anyhow or evwn decide to live in Ghana but if u have only Ghana passport it's not gonna be that easy to move about even as a doctor since their money is not enough for them.

See with that money if you enter into mushroom cultivation, 1 kilo of mushroom is GHs25 and if your are serious enough everyday you can supply 30 Kg and in a month you should be making GHs13+ Pay workers do some savings against the future and what else.
