Wicklow Way | Day Three | Brushers Gap to Mullacor Hut
An amazing day. Had one of the best mornings of my life, enjoying being in the Brushers Gap Hut, the view, the lack of rain, able to sit for ages enjoying coffees and the multiple birds that were foraging around the hut, right around our feet. Even saw a Sparrowhawk try to take out one of my new friends. It was a late start, but we descended into the glory of Glendalough, and wandered the Monastic site, then ascended the 400+ metres out of the valley and around the side of Mullacor, to see the absolute majesty of the Glenmalure Valley, which was just breathtaking. Eventually found the Mullacor Hut, which was occupied by two other hikers that we had met at the previous hut, so we found a spot in the forest nearby, along with two other hikers. An absolutely epic day. So proud of what we have achieved, and very grateful for this little spot in the woods and our wee tent ⛺🙏
