- The next South Carolina State Park on my Ultimate Outsider Tour is Table Rock State Park. This is one of my favorite State Parks and some would argue that it is the Best South Carolina State Park.

If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding hike be sure to hike the Table Rock Summit Trail. This hike is about 3.6 miles each way. You will pass some great views including at the Table Rock Half Way Shelter and at Governors Rock. Once you reach the summit you have to continue on the trail until you get to the Table Rock observation point. Be sure to take a lot of water. The Park Rangers suggest taking at least 2 liters of water per person.
If you are looking for a shorter hike at Table Rock State Park the Carrick Creek Trail is a beautiful 2 mile loop with some waterfalls. The Carrick Creek Loop is a great family hike. You can also rent kayaks or a peddle boat at Pinnacle Lake before or after your hike.
Table Rock is an access point for the Foothills Trail and the Palmetto Trail

This is the hike that started my love for hiking. Ive summited this mountain probably a dozen times over the years and it lead me to bigger hikes such as Mt. Whitney and Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Camping up there in a week or so. Went to college not too far from it. Always went to Caesar's Head then. Sadly no hike planned. Just tent camping on the White Oak grounds. Hopefully next time...rebuilding my backpacking gear. Awesome video and great shots of the views. And they say we don' have mountains in SC. I laugh.

How was it? I'm visiting SC in a month from Jamaica. I'm hoping to climb this. It appears lonely though.
I remember this hike several years ago. I just grew my hair back from chemo and it was in March. Our hike was crowded with many people and my guyfriend determined that he had a stopping point especially after someone came down from the mountain saying that we had over a mile upwards to go. LOL We tried other trails which almost as challenging but we are going back in the fall of the year. Not this one...LOL
This trail does get crowded! The Carrick Creek Loop Trail is one of my favorites too!

Table Rock State Park looks amazing. My favorite hikes tend to follow along the water, at least in part, where you can just take a break and enjoy. Hopefully we will get here soon.

Wow-what time and day were you there to have no company? It’s usually so insanely crowded there! Beautiful hike. My fave is to go up Pinnacle to the Ridge trail and over to Table Rock. So many great views!
This was July 4. I think the combination of the holiday and the fact it was 90 degrees kept the trail quiet that day. The park was crowded but most people were at the waterfalls and lake. I have always either done Pinnacle to Bald Knob or just stayed on the Table Rock Trail - I need to check out the Ridge Trail one day. Thank you for watching!

This trail is popular so expect some crowds on weekends. I have not had any bear, coyote, or mountain lion spottings here but some friends of mine have seen bears from a distance at this park. Thank you for watching!
