He tried to save Haney so many times lol

Damn da asf
it was really like 6 knockdowns.... those "slips" were reminiscent of provodnikov vs bradley.
For real.. Ryan rocked and wobbled Haney like 5 times. Before this Devin has never been knocked down.. Until tonight.. Ryan beat the crap out of Haney. His face looked pretty damaged too
@@benmcreynolds8581think he broke his jaw it looks that way
@@igotthejuice2090 I was wondering if it was broken.. Or if his jaw got dislocated.. I had that happen and it sucked. One side of my face swole up & I had to go to the doctor and they manually put my jaw back into it's socket. He had gloves on and it took so much force to pull and push my jaw to pop it back into place. It sucked
@@benmcreynolds8581 yea or dislocated .. something because he didn’t do the post fight press conference he went strait to the hospital
At least 4 knockdowns.
When Brian editing a video is quicker than the ref’s ten count

That's crazy man. Everyone counted him out. God is good!
I said 50/50 but dam
i knew he would get the W , a lot of these undefeated fighters are fighting plumbers and construction workers to pad their records. we need more of the top brass going up against one another to bring back boxing
Dude disrespected weight, didn't he? Basically pulled a Paulo Costa but actually won lol
I was right💪🇲🇽
@@raul5081weight cutting matters way more in mma than boxing, not even comparable. Paulo also missed like 20 pounds. Can’t remember but it was ridiculous
Those 3 pounds and the rehydration made Ryan a beast 😂 he made Devin look small and Devin is used to being a weight bully and fighting smaller opponents.
Don't be fooled by weight in. On fight night Haney outweighed him
haney’s nose alone outweighed ryan
@@gonefreaks4677exactly Haney is a known Weight Bully he weighted 165 on fight night last time. Garcia was actually lighter.
Haney is heavier on the fight night. Both at 145+
Haney look huge too...Haney is knows for going huge in fight night
And Unlike Ryan vs Tank that had a rehydration clause...Ryan didnt had to worry about it and it shows...
Karma came for Haney

I think all of that was a ploy for promotion. He seems back to normal now all the sudden.
There is a reason why Ryan throws that left hook the way he does. You must take into an account the set up before it is thrown. The reason it is so successful is because it’s not a normal hook that fighters are used to seeing, that small adjustment to the hook makes a huge difference. Ryan sticks out the left hand to measure distance and then rips the hook super wide from a very measured distance and boom!
What about the science of how fast you upload your videos, Brian?
Scientists have been trying to figure that out for ages
@@BrianSuttererMD😂😂😂 💪🏾🔥
*Well played, Doctor... **_well played indeed._* 🧐
Ur talking about Ryan needing to stiffen up his Left hook. I would disagree. I argue that the awkward hooks that Ryan throws is why he was able to land on someone that is by the book like Haney.
Dr.Brian lives in the future. Beautiful breakdowns, thank you Doctor.

The doc is lightning fast

Thank you Dr.Brian 🥊🥊
Always great work !!!
As always great insight Doc!
It’s called bone stacking you want the middle finger bone lined up with the forearm, forearm lined with the elbow etc. when doing everything else correct in technique it makes for a much more powerful strike because the energy is not dissipating on contact. Good vid
Brothas need to stop hating.
Ryan Garcia saved the sport tonight!! 👑✊💯

It would be amazing if you gave us some anatomy type info on armwrestling matches. Huge event called EAST vs. WEST 12 just took place tonight, it was a legendary card. Your analysis would be very interesting regarding armwrestling because it could give us a deeper look into the mechanics and finer details. Love your videos by the way. 💪
Tank dodged them hooks
Don’t be surprised if Dr. Sutterrer suddenly puts on gloves, then climbs into the ring like Kazuki Sanada (Hajime no Ippo);
The boxing doctor 😂
Yeah would pay to watch him versus Doctor Mike
Another way to gain momentum in that hook is with the rotation of your body and squaring of your shoulder, “twisting” your body and hips towards the target. It’s not only the arm that is generating that power. Great video!
Your analysis adds a whole another dimension to the fight game.
Dr.... I can see how you are using all of these as your own learning process... then training the masses. You are exactly what the world needs more of. I don't think you need the ads though. At least you SHOULDN'T.
You are misunderstanding the first two 'hooks'. The reason Garcia's torso is a little ahead of the punch is because Garcia is moving toward Haney while he throws the punch. One reason to do that is to get a left hook on Haney from a distance Haney thought was safe while Haney is in the shell. You would never do this with a tradition hook (which is almost exclusively torsional) because Haney's shell would allow him to roll and come over with the right hand as a counter. But Garcia moves from distance to throw a hybrid hook & his footwork is almost like a jab...another part of the reason is defensive. If Garcia doesn't connect with the hybrid hook he intends to step across Haney's body with Garcia's left foot, bend at the waist, and extend his butt into haney's beltline as Garcia retreats. This keeps Garcia away from Haney's counter right. So it's not a faulty punch. It's Garcia finding a way to get his left hook onto Haney from distance but still have a solid defensive option if the punch doesn't land. Don't change anything! If Ryan steps in to throw a traditional torsional left hook while Haney is in his shell, Haney will eventually buzz Garcia with an overhand right.
I was about to call you out at 7:07, but then u totally hit the nail on the head at 7:14.. for speed, you need to maintain a loose arm, if youre all tenses up, it really slows down your punches.. you only tighten up right at the point of impact... well done :D great video
You the man Doc
Great explanation!
a looser more relaxed arm means a quicker punche. you are not supposed to keep your arms stiff the whole punch, you tighten at the moment before contact like a whip.
Dude! We can clearly see that First one was partially deflected by Haneys right hand. Focus on Haney's right glove, it gets to Ryan's wrist just as the punch arrives partially blocking the momentum. You can see the glove deform from the pressure. Then in the other knockdowns, it's wide open! Of course they were more effective even though he maintained the same form while delivering those left hooks. I can't believe you didn't highlight that with your pen during the first replay.😮💨🙈🙈🙈
Brian working on these video like he's still in college, staying up all night and about to give a presentation.🤣
"The more you know " 😂
Iam sure the Haney crew would absolutely appreciate your slow motion reviewing this over and over 😂
You should have compared his jaw and what a broken jaw looks like cause people were saying his jaw was broken. He was talking funny afterwards and jaw looked swollen.

Bro is the flash with these uploads😭😭
Ryan has always had a whipping action with his hook and I think this is how he generates the power and speed. The 3rd knockdown was the best and I can’t believe that didn’t put Devin out. He was closer on the last knockdown that’s why his peck was used more and Ryan had more punch.
Ryan has always thrown his punch like that. That’s why his punches are so snappy.
one of the best fights I've ever seen, underdog Ryan is a beast fr
Garcia’s feints and casual posture often leads to shots thrown at odd angles. His speed lets him get away with it. When he does throw a proper hook, it breaks jaws.
Bro! so quick!
This doc stays on the internet 24/7 looking for some live violence to take place 👊🏻
it's not so much the force driven... it is more to do with the speed delivered... example would be on the 2nd knockdown where he hit him with a left jab then an immediate left hook... it was very fast. he has speed over rigidity
also Haney blocked the 1st knockdown punch with his glove to the inside elbow of KingRy

Thanks for the video.
In the 2000's, I could punch a heavy bag for four or five minutes continuously even though my body fat was around thirty-five percent. I was fat, but I had some aerobic strength. In 2013, I moved to an elevation of 5500 feet from being at sea level, my ability to throw continuous jab-cross combinations dropped from four to five minutes to three to four minutes. That still wasn't terrible. My health failed in 2015, and in the 2017 or 2018 period, I couldn't throw three punches without falling apart. I wasn't trying to train because I was putting all of my energy into trying to get to work, but even that failed. Around 2020, I started trying to slow the decline that had been happening for the previous five years. I went back to trying to train a little bit on a heavy bag. I've gotten to where I can throw a dozen or so punches. Obviously, I'm a shell of my former self, but a dozen is better than two or three.
As part of my looking at variety in my exercise, I tried to throw palm strikes. I quickly learned that I can't throw a palm strike with my arm extended to the side. If my upper arm bone is in line with my clavicle, I'm going to feel as if my arm is falling off at the shoulder. If my upper arm bone is perpendicular to my clavicle, I can hit the bag without hurting my shoulder.
I mention all of this because your video now explains what is happening. You mentioned that the pectoral muscles are stronger when the arm is facing more forward than to the side. You said that these muscles can be stronger and give the shoulder more stability in this position. My experience now makes sense. When I hold my arm to the side and try to turn into a palm strike, the pectoral muscle isn't strong enough to provide stability. When I hold my arm in front of me and turn into a palm strike, the pectoral muscle can provide shoulder stability. Thanks for this understanding.
Doc is faster than that left hook.
Def faster then haney lol
I would assume serious fighters employ someone like Dr B to analyze and improve their biomechanics. If they don’t they’re missing out!! Congratulations to Ryan 🎉👊🏻
Yo doc can you break down alex's punch ,its broken ngannu's punching world record. It looks very different from a normal punch
Better to extend the arm on the left hook, and deliver a less powerful blow, than to go for maximum power and put oneself closer to danger. There's an important trade off between offense and defense. And usually defense is more important than offense all other things being equal.
Doc is quick with it lol seeing this angle from a phone is insane. Ryan's hook could very well be the fastest hook in boxing ever. Can't think of anyone that was ever that quick with one punch, let alone a hook.
Thanks to your frame freezing, we can see that Ryan still hasn’t broken his habit of blinking when he throws
Bro must have a portable background or something. How is he always so quick
Leave it a 0 dislikes people.
The term you are looking for is 'passive insufficiency' when it comes to muscles being too extended to gain optimal power for a strike

Fast af boy
Shut up lil boy💀
you’re almost as quick as ryan with the posting speed
Why is there always a awesome boxing match when it’s my brother’s birthday
Bryan upload faster than Ryan’s left hook 💀😂😂
Of course the ideal hook is with a 90 deg arm angle, but if you want to land at longer ranges, you sacrifice some power. It’s a tradeoff. Garcia had no trouble dropping all of his opponents with that longer hook so this isn’t really an issue. In the pocket with a stronger hook, he is more susceptible to counters, and he has a tendency to keep his hands low.
Doc that skeleton in the back isn't sure what jersey he wants to wear 😅
To me, around maybe round 7 or 8 it looked to me like Haney's jaw was busted (left side) and swelling quite badly.
haney feels that bcs garcia is a bit heavy at 140 he listed 143.2lbs above the division but look at the thumbnail 😂 perfect
Alex left hook >>>> Ryan Garcia left Hook all day

I had a important Business Call but told my Assistant to post pone my Client. I had to tune in what the Doc had to say by that Brutal Ass Whopping from yesterday Evening.
Doc dropped the video before Haney hit the ground the third time
That was a very good fight man. Rematch is definitely needed. The only thing that was wack was the amount of holding Ryan was doing and his weird turning his body type of "defense" like what was that? Never seen a boxer do that.
I watch more MMA than boxing but gloves size in boxing can definitely affect rigidity when hitting your opponent. just a thought.
Doctor, can you explain what the cutman did to Yan after round 1 vs zhang? They claim they "woke her up" with ice in her nostrils.. but it looked like a small brown glass bottle. 😳
No joke you need to do a video about Deantay wilder power
Tl;dr- if you are a pro boxer who repeatedly gets hit very hard in the head by an opponent with lightning quick hands - and you do not return the favour - there is a material risk of losing the fight 😁 ps Your videos and breadth of knowledge are absolutely superb - thank you, genuinely 🙏🏾
He dropped this video before the fight was over

Wtf 😮💨😅
Hey doc! You forgot to address Haney’s broken jaw. Mouth hanging open like that is a clear sign. Seen the same thing with Colby Covington with his fight with Kamaru Usman…
A lot of hooks are so effective because not only are they powerful, they also don't see it coming.
I'm a street doctor let me give you the street science version "Haney got efffed up bad." That's all. As you have observed, street science is much more efficient at describing things.
Man this video was as quick as Ryan’s left hook 🪝
the fight should have been called probably on the first or second knockdown hes gonna have a huge brain injury from taking all of that damage late
Mass x acceleration 😂😂😂 6:40
I expected you to bring it to the ref as a doctor you gotta highlight how dangerous this actually was for Haney took years off his career it’s his job to protect the fighters from themselves and he did a terrible job of that
Great review of the ONLY punch Ryan Garcia has. I was happy to see him shut all the doubters up. Although he didn't exactly represent himself well at all. I'd like to see him develop a jab and maybe some body work. Get creative with it. He won't beat the top guys at 147+ with just a left hook.
