Bobby Kimball is amazing, when he's back in 2003 concert I think during Toto's 25th anniversary in which I brought a cd it was recorded in Amsterdam. That was the day when they sounded like original again!
unfortunately Bobbys lines in the chorus of Africa came from a tape during that tour 😕

Knew this was a hit the first time I heard it! It gives you a different feeling. A sort of poignant wistful type of vibe! A very good overall feeling of being somewhere new without someone you left behind, but is coming soon!

When this song first came out, I thought it was mediocre. The lyrics just didn’t work. But the harmonies are just irresistible. I couldn’t get it out of my head. I guess the rest of the world couldn’t either.

I still can't believe I saw these guys a few years ago at an outdoor venue and it only cost me $10 to get in.

All versions are good but 1982 can't be beaten as the line up was almost original and musically the best. I love the sound of Steve P's synths and Jeff P playing along to the drum machine and hitting the gong. I think the 1st clip of Africa is my remastered version.

Too perfect unfortunately. I remember when I bought it during my music college and it was obvious this was dubbed a lot. Nevertheless a great band.
