I use these binders to store my embossing folders too. The gray gives just enough contrast so I can see the pattern. I also put a 3/4 length cardstock piece in with the backing cardstock when I have those edge or "strip" embossing folders that sometimes come with the regular size embossing folders. The 3/4 length piece allows me to keep the strips vertical and I can get them out easier when I need them.
I just came across this video and had to smile because this is the way I am storing my stamp sets that don't come in their own boxes! Great minds think alike! A suggestion to avoid cutting and pasting the labels is to go into Word on your computer and set your new document on landscape and create two columns. Then type in your labels at the top of each column. Print double sided (make sure to have them print so that the labels are always at the top of the page) on card stock and cut in half!
So MayMay I actually did the binder system with the card stock and was frustrated by them sliding out.... this video really helped me - I can afford to by the stamp and die cut pockets a lot... glad this video was still on you tube... I will surely look at stamp line... again love your energy
This is right up my alley. Just was looking at a couple stamp sets that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and Michael's before I knew you had designed your own, and really did not want to organize them in a container. So, yes love this idea.
Mine are in 2" binders and I did them horizontally for the 4x6 sets, using staples and making little slits along the binder edge (I also have one for the small "dollar" stamps, using the sheet protectors for baseball cards. They're perfect!). For larger sets, I just use a whole page. I use glue dots to secure the back of the plastic sheeting to the cardstock, except for ones that fit nicely into the horizontal pockets I created - just leaving them in their original packaging. I went a step further to get them organized (because I have 10 binders {stamp hoarder! 😆})... every time I add a new stamp/set, I save an image from the internet and I put it into my photo library, using tags for the images and words, plus the name/manufacturer, and I also list the binder it is in (I also write the binder on the insert so I know where to return it). So: when I need a little girl stamp, a background image, or grass or sunshine or "love," I can type that word into my search box and it will show me all of my options and what binders they are in. I love my system and it has worked for close to ten years now! 👏🏼 I used the type of binders with cover openings, so I was able to decorate them and I put paper and each binder's number on the spine... pretty binders are more fun to use! 😁🙌🏼 (oh! I also use the kind of sheet protectors with the flap at the top so they don't fall out. I get them at the office supply stores.)
Ha, Maymay, I just came across this as I want to put all my sentiment stamps in one place. I am also going to use acetate sheets to stick my stamps on. I just ordered a binder and protector sheets and the acetate from Amazon. This is exactly what I need. I do have the black embossing folder binders you used to sell on your store front online and use those for all your stamp sets.
I'm new to stamping & building my collection. This is the most economical & practical hobby storage for stamps and my die cuts. Thank you! Can't wait to try your stamps.
Love this binder Maymay! I have been doing this for a while now for some of my stamps and some I have on a homemade clip it up that I made from a rotating shoe holder I got from WalMart. One thing I started doing this past year is I got this small binder and same clear protector sheets and just copied the stamps I have and I organize by designer and then I can flip through and find what stamp I want to use. I really like this and has been a big timer saver for me. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Hi Maymay ... I have some of my longer sets (like Inkadinkadoo) stored this way as well as my Tim Holtz ... the down side for me is that the binders don't hold many and I have MANY. I use the Avery Elle plastic protectors for all of my others and keep them in the fridge bin like Jennifer Maguire. The down side to that one, is it weighs a 1,000 lbs. because I have so many. I keep my wood stamps in the clear cases by Stampabilities and since I have 30+ cases, I scanned each case and labeled them by number. I have a notebook of the scanned images so I know what case each of my stamps are in so I can access them easily. Wow, I have a lot and I'm blessed to have and enjoy them all. Some would call me a hoarder ... but I've given away far more than I've kept. LOL!! Happy Friday.Jeri
I started doing this same thing, and then found your video which gave me even more ideas! Thanks so much. I wanted to get another small binder, but now Walmart seems to have stopped carrying them! Bummer. Still, great idea for storing un,ounted wood-block stamps in very little space!
This is awesome idea. Just went to Walmart and got all the supplies. I have stamps that goes with dies. I'm going to put the stamps on one side and the matching dies on the other side. It's going to be great to have them together. I have so many I forget what I have, this is great. Thank you for sharing your ideas, you have so much inspiration.
I have had mine similar for a few months and I really like it! Found some binders at a thrift store and mod-podged some pretty paper on the front, back, and side. Working great!
I was so excited to see the title of this video in my feed. I am going through my stamps now. I love your binder (I'm very much a black and white girl), unfortunately I have tried this method with a larger page which contained clear and rubber stamps, sad to say it didn't work (probably user error). It was too bulky and the pages drooped because of the rubber stamp weight. I have way too many stamps, I want them in an order of relevance (sentiments, holidays, etc.). I love the neatness of yours, great job!
Thats a great idea. I've been hunting for some ways to store my Stampin Up Stamps because those cases they come in take up a ton of room. After you take the stamps out of the rubber sheet, the box is half empty! Jennifer McGuire did a video awhile back on her stamp storage system that reminds me of yours a little bit. She uses "Avery Elle" stamp envelopes. You can slip coordinating dies into the back side of the envelope as another option. She stores her envelopes into "fridge binz" - but I think the size of the AE envelopes changed so not sure if they fit into the same dimensions you can get the fridge binz in now. I think you can get a pack of 25 envelopes for under $10. I ordered a pack on Amazon to see how sturdy they are. Right now I have all my photopolymer stamps hanging up on a Renee "Clip it Up" (another option). I'm really enjoying your videos! Oh, btw, the price you got for your binder was super, they are a lot more expensive at Office Depot, even for the plain white ones! You can get great deals for them on Amazon if you don't mind buying them in sets of 5.
Patrick Takiura I have a clip it up too, I love it but it doesn't fit on my desk. I have to put it sort of out of the way and therefore I tend to not reach for things on it. Thanks for all the great tips!!!
Finally today! I am not sure exactly what's going on with TH-cam but I was also having trouble with other sites as well. Who knows with technology? Thanks for everything that you do!
I did this to my stamps about a year ago. I bought the cheap binders and then added paper to the front - I tried to match the paper on the outside to the contents of binder -some of them I've glued the paper down, because there's more than one subject in it. This helps me find what I'm looking for without having to go through each binder. This really helps me save time when looking for specific stamps. Good luck with your binder's. Tfs :)
I think this is a great idea Amy and if I would have so many stamps I would have done it this way too. Still might for some sets. I too use Avery pockets to store my stamps in the way Jennifer McGuire does. But I plan on getting notebooks and just stamping my stamps on the sheet in the notebook so I can flip through it to decided what stamps I want to use if that makes sense.
Hi Maymay, I love this system, it's really working at well. I've switched from avery to the slider zip lock bags, that I purchased at the dollar tree. I did need to trim off bottom the of the bags so that would fit nicely into my binders. Thank you, for sharing your talents and time. I fully enjoy enjoy your videos.
I do this but I use the 8.5 x 11 notebooks and page protectors. I started out with a 3 inch binder and divided my stamps by holiday. I wish I had known about the 5x7 page protectors cause with the 8.5 x 11 the stamps slide ever where....... LOVE YOUR IDEAS!!!!!!
Great idea. I was just thinking the other day that I needed someway to store my stamps (what few I have) so they will be easy accessible. Thanks for another great video.
Thank You. I have a lot of stamps just in a drawer. I'm getting the stuff to do this today. Then they'll be right at my finger tips from now on! Your Awesome!!!
Well, I think it is an awesome idea. I need to do this. I tried it with a bigger album, but the slide all over the place, so I think I need the smaller size like you have. Going to try your method!
I use this system for my stamps. Baseball card sheet protectors are perfect for the dollar stamp sets that are sold at most craft stores.(of course, they are 8.5 x11, so a larger binder would be needed)
I use the package labels like you did or scan it into my computer and print onto my backing sheet. For me, I have to put stamps in alphabetical order (b/c I have so many). Will now look for your products too. Thanks for sharing.
Neat! , that is a very good idea, this was the method i used to store my rubber cling stamps until i acumulated 6 albums full then they overwhelmed my shelf space . but thanks for that now i know how im going to store my clear stamps as i . dont have as many of those.
Sarah Longshore I have an idea but I am afraid it will only work for limited work spaces. I am thinking of putting magnets on them and creating a board to stick them to in front of my desk.
Great video! I like the idea of your fast-drying glue. Checked your web page and it says it will "dry clear". Does it dry shiny? That's what I don't like about the clear glue I'm using now...if it peaks out past what I'm gluing down, it will dry clear...BUT...it will be shiny and more noticeable. Thanks for your help!
Great idea May May. I tried it with the larger binder and sleeves, only problem I had was that smaller stamps tend to move around to much in the larger sleeves. At times they even slipped right out. I do like the smaller one you have done though. Maybe I will take a trip to Walmart. TFS Denise
Hi Maymay, I really enjoyed watching your youtube channel, showing how you did your stamp storage system. I am new to youtube but I really like your video. The notebook you used was really very pretty. Great job. Loretta
I love this storage system I’ve been looking at tons of videos I’ve tried the basket storage but it’s hard to find what I’m looking for and hinders by desire to stamp. Gonna totally do this probably by size since i have different sizes stamp sets Thanks may may🥰
I use a similar system for my stamps, but really like yours better. I've been looking for a tab punch as you showed at the end of this video. Can you suggest where to find one like it? Thanks!
I am so doing this!!! Great idea Amy. Love it! Funny how I was thinking of how to store my stamps a week ago and today you have the answer on your channel. And the cover for the binder matches my mat for my desk! I am a Wally World shopper toi.
This is the way I use to store my stamps. However, my collection has grown quite a bit over the last 5 years. This no longer works for me. I use the fridge bins and the stamp sleeves (not sure that's the correct name) that Jennifer Mcquire uses. I also store my dies that way as well. If the stamp set has a matching die set then they go in the same sleeve. I separate them by manufacture and then put the stamps /dies in alphabetical order. This works great and they are easy to flip through. I also have a binder catalog (still a work in progress) but, I stamp each set onto white card stock and the place them in the binder in sections. The sections are of course by manufacturer, then I break them down into categories such as, alpha/numeric, Christmas , flowers, sentiments, etc. then I can go through the binder to see what stamps or dies I want to use and then go pull them from the bins.
I like this idea. I have my stamps in plastic cases that sell for a couple of dollars but they don't hold that many stamps. Also I am not sure what the brand name is on some of my stamps but they come on a page that is punched to fit in a 3 ring binder. So this would also work for them. Great idea!
I've been thinking about doing this myself. Thanks for the demo! The Frugal Crafter stores her in binders but uses a different kind of insert which I don't like as well but she stores her by theme which I think is a great idea.
I am always looking for a good way to store my stamps. I think the smaller binder and pages will hold up better and not sag like the bigger pages do. AND since I will be getting Maymay's stamps every month now.....it's perfect!
I do this with my embossing folders and with magnetic sheets for my dies. I switched to a full size binder for dies so I can keep my Sizzix flip dies on the same binder with all my other dies.
Our local Walmarts do not carry this size, however, Staples carries the binders (but not with the same design; I picked up a couple that is called "Taj Mahal," and also picked up the protector sheets there as well. (If you are so inclined not to make the tabbed sheets, Staples also carries the divider sheets with tabs.)
This is a great idea and I'm going to borrow it from you. Do you have any suggestions for dies? I don't have any electronic cutting machines so I have the problem of physically storing them myself.
What kind of dies? Wafer? Slimline? Plastic Backed? Standard? I use many different storage systems for my dies as even the same style die may have various sizes and one must maximize every precious cubic inch . I have too many ~ lol Like with tiny and the old QK 2x2 wafer dies, i use coin collecting binder pages & the 4" binders. I have 2.5 of those binders jammed. Very heavy. For the small plastic backed (sizzlits), i use baseball card collecting pages & 4" binders. I have 6 full binders & 2 partials. I keep in numerical order and make an inventory list in excel (any document creation will be fine). My medium sizzlits, the brown boxes sizzix used to sell, 6 full; you might find used ones online. For my slimline (original, bigz, etc), i reuse usps boxes and white office boxes (way cheaper in the 90s). My standard dies (accucut & ellison), i use new white storage file boxes - expensive, but cheaper & more compact than accucut wire rack system. For my bigz pro, i use the white office file boxes here to, but not in a normal way, just as guides to keep them from falling over. Stamp die combos, not yet organized. Sorry. Embossing folders, card keepers & some w/ the matching dies. One of these days, i will rerelease an Access database I created for crafters. I just have not had the chance to update it for modern users. Happy crafting!!
That's a great idea. I'm off to Wlallies to find a binder and sheets. Question where did you get the tip you use for your glue I love it. Please tell me where you got it/ Thanks Marty
This is so cool!! Now I have to go get that EXACT binder for my Maymay stamps...haha!!! Sooo cool....., I LOVE organizational vids...so I was so excited to see this. Great idea....thank you! Have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs! Becca
Hi I keep my stamps in folders but I keep the stamps in zip lock bags (plastic) . Enjoy watching you do your videos and card making thank you for taking the time to entertain us.
This is great need to do this because mine are not n iris 👠 size 📦 and it's not working because I don't use them. Kinda out sight out of mind then I buy duplicates frowns. So thank you for sharing smiles ..
Good morning. How do u prevent your stamps from falling out of the page protectors if the notebook gets turned upside down? I love the notebook idea 4 storing stamps. Do u store your dies the same way? Thank u. Have a great day.
Oh, diggin this one. I bought those clear stamp boxes online to hold my stampin up stamps. So wish there was a way to toss the wood blocks and still use the stamps, would save so much room. I will totally have to do this for my clear babies, how many do you think the binder will hold? Maybe 30 sets huh?
I cannot get to play... I can watch your other videos and really need to see this one😏! I am desperate for tips on storing my stamps! What do you think I am doing wrong?
Hi MayMay, This is exactly like the Anna Griffin Stamp Storage System on HSN. Same Damask cover and hot pink interior. The AG binder is bigger. Please be sure to put a disclaimer because her products/patterns are copyrighted. I can tell you that your system is a whole lot cheaper for sure, like 75% cheaper than hers. However, they look exactly the same. Thanks for sharing. Kathy B. (Fairylady0227) 💜
Great storage idea. And I love that you've got a stamp set coming out next month. I've not heard of Bees Knees. I'm super excited to see what all it has. And I'm really looking forward to when you release Critter Christmas again. I've been wanting that one forever :)
I tried that system. The biggest problem I had was that my page protectors did not have 3-holes punched. So I had to punch extra holes. I also spent too much money on my binders. I learned that it is important to cut a piece heavy card stock or the pages were too floppy. I also had some rubber stamps, that they were fat and made things worse. I think this could work well the way May May did it. I would also mention there are differences in page protectors and pretty flimsy. Get the better ones. Another suggestion would be to take pictures so you h=can remember what you have and not buy duplicates.
@@TheScrappyBookworm1 I went to Walmart to get some and they seemed pretty pricey but I was going to just bite the bullet and get them anyways and then as I was just roaming around looking through their craft section, I found these. They were 2 in a package and they were only 1.97 per package. :) oopppssss can't post a picture but they are GO Create Adhesive Magnetic Sheets. They are 5x8in. :)
Hi Sarah Longshore, I store my wooden block stamps and ink pads, in acrylic box frames. I use them like trays. Hope this is help full, have a completely awesome day
So simple but very effective. Could you tell me where you got the tab punch from. Please don't say Michaels. Unfortunately we don't have that store here downunder. TFS
@@ashleygemoll3646 Oh my goodness, so sorry here is that link.... th-cam.com/video/yKggLvitPv8/w-d-xo.html, let me know if you have any questions, thanks
I have done this for quite awhile now. It's a great storage solution.
I’m so glad I got to see this in 2022 because I am new to crafts and your stamps
Thank you! I am going shopping tomorrow for the supplies to make this for my clear stamps! Soooo excited!
I use these binders to store my embossing folders too. The gray gives just enough contrast so I can see the pattern. Thanks May May! I have 2 of these size binders and don't currently use them for anything important and now they have a use. You are so SMART!
So MayMay I actually did the binder system with the card stock and was frustrated by them sliding out.... this video really helped me - I can afford to by the stamp and die cut pockets a lot... glad this video was still on you tube... I will surely look at stamp line... again love your energy

Hi Maymay, I really enjoyed watching your youtube channel, showing how you did your stamp storage system. I am new to youtube but I really like your video. The notebook you used was really very pretty. Great job. Loretta
I love this storage system
I’ve been looking at tons of videos
I’ve tried the basket storage but it’s hard to find what I’m looking for and hinders by desire to stamp.
Gonna totally do this probably by size since i have different sizes stamp sets
Thanks may may🥰
To me this seems wonderful, the stamps are all together, it's fairly cheap and easy to see at once.
I use a similar system for my stamps, but really like yours better. I've been looking for a tab punch as you showed at the end of this video. Can you suggest where to find one like it? Thanks!
I put mine in a 2" binder and use standard page protectors. I put them in alpha order. I love it. I also do this with my dies.
thank so much maymay i have been trying to think of a way to put all my stamps in one spot now i have it will be doing this this weekend thanks again
Cindy Ullman We would love to see how it turns out... facebook.com/groups/598467710263772/
I use this size binder for dies. Works really well. If you have a large collection it could become very space greedy.
I am so doing this!!! Great idea Amy. Love it! Funny how I was thinking of how to store my stamps a week ago and today you have the answer on your channel. And the cover for the binder matches my mat for my desk! I am a Wally World shopper toi.
Brenda Peedin Thanks Brenda!
Lovely - what are your suggestions to those of us with massive extensive (excessive borderline hoarding) collections? ~
Great idea, I will be making an attempt at organizing mine in a binder.
When will your stamps be available again?
I like this idea. I have my stamps in plastic cases that sell for a couple of dollars but they don't hold that many stamps. Also I am not sure what the brand name is on some of my stamps but they come on a page that is punched to fit in a 3 ring binder. So this would also work for them. Great idea!
I've been thinking about doing this myself. Thanks for the demo! The Frugal Crafter stores her in binders but uses a different kind of insert which I don't like as well but she stores her by theme which I think is a great idea.
Kim Frank I think the theme idea is a good one too! Thanks Kim!
Love this inexpensive storage idea. Thanks Maymay!
I am always looking for a good way to store my stamps. I think the smaller binder and pages will hold up better and not sag like the bigger pages do. AND since I will be getting Maymay's stamps every month now.....it's perfect!
Judy Humphrey Thanks Judy!!!
I do this with my embossing folders and with magnetic sheets for my dies. I switched to a full size binder for dies so I can keep my Sizzix flip dies on the same binder with all my other dies.
Good ideas! Where did you get the tiny tip for your glue bottle?
Our local Walmarts do not carry this size, however, Staples carries the binders (but not with the same design; I picked up a couple that is called "Taj Mahal," and also picked up the protector sheets there as well. (If you are so inclined not to make the tabbed sheets, Staples also carries the divider sheets with tabs.)
what type of glue are you using? Love this idea.
I love this idea! I am slowly getting more stamps and need something like this.
This is a great idea and I'm going to borrow it from you. Do you have any suggestions for dies? I don't have any electronic cutting
machines so I have the problem of physically storing them myself.
What kind of dies? Wafer? Slimline? Plastic Backed? Standard? I use many different storage systems for my dies as even the same style die may have various sizes and one must maximize every precious cubic inch . I have too many ~ lol
Like with tiny and the old QK 2x2 wafer dies, i use coin collecting binder pages & the 4" binders.
I did this with my collection! I don't have many yet, since I'm new, so I only have 1 per page protector. Very handy!
I finally got my binders and I can’t wait to get my stamps organized in my binders thanks so much for sharing
I have a new way of storing my stamps now too. I need to update the video on that. I use an embossing folder storage that we carry in our store.
I knew I had seen a tutorial for keeping stamps and was flipping through some videos and eurica there it was . Thanks for sharing.
Love it MAy May! Great ideas. You are so great st videos
Hello, if you turn the notebook upside down the stamps can fall out, we have switched to storing the stamps in cargo sleeves and in baskets, thanks
@@tamthaluehrs Good afternoon. What r cargo sleeves that u use 4 your stamp storage? Have an awesome day.
@@amyfouts9781 we use the Brutus Monroe Cargo Sleeves, here is the link www.maymaymadeit.com/pages/search-results-page?q=Brutus+Monroe+cargo+sleeves+
@@tamthaluehrs ok. Thank u. I appreciate it.
***** I don't think this binder will hold that many, it is already starting to be to full with 12 sets. Maybe 15 comfortably.
I just peel my wood block stamps off the block and they stick to a sheet of acetate like the clear ones do.
+Maymay Made it Crafts Great idea! What glue was that, that you used? Please and thank you 😊
Very cool! I love this idea!
I'm looking for a binder right now!
Staples carry the pockets.. I use these for my die cuts as well with vent magnet sheets from Lowe's
great idea! BTW. who makes the tab punch? I have been trying to find one similar to it for ages!
Chilly B It is made by McGill, I love the McGill punches, I wish they would bring all theirs back. So many of my favorites have been discontinued.
Would embossing folders work in this also?
Thanks May may, I love this idea. I'm going to try it.
Thank you for this video! My favorite for sure after seeing so many!
I cannot get to play... I can watch your other videos and really need to see this one😏! I am desperate for tips on storing my stamps! What do you think I am doing wrong?
Holley Downs Did you get it to work, I have had a lot of trouble getting vids to play lately too.
I have bought those sleeves at Target.
I use this and also store coordinating dies with the stamps too.
Where does one get the metal tip on the glue bottle? Nice video, thx!
+merryscrapper we carry them in our store at www.maymaymadeit.com
Do you still have the old stamps sets if so I would love to buy some of them. And yes I like this idea I will try it today thank you.

Hi MayMay,
This is exactly like the Anna Griffin Stamp Storage System on HSN.

I like that idea. I need mine out where I can see what I have. I hate to buy doubles.
This is a great Idea. I will do this with mine. Thank you.
Great storage idea. And I love that you've got a stamp set coming out next month. I've not heard of Bees Knees. I'm super excited to see what all it has. And I'm really looking forward to when you release Critter Christmas again. I've been wanting that one forever :)
MetalScrappinChick They are all coming back, slowly but surely, I am so excited to be able to bring them back! Thanks!
I love this idea for better organization. I'm thinking of trying this with my dies & magnetic sheets instead of card stock. Tfs, Cynthia :)
what magnetic sheets do you buy? I can't seem to find any that aren't really expensive.
@@DenCleBren I buy magnet sheet vent covers at walmart. I cut them in half. Pretty decent price. Hope that helps. Happy crafting :)
@@DenCleBren that's great! So glad you found them and what a great price! Tfs, hugs 😃
I Just found one of those, plastic envelope photo albums... and, immediately decided, Stamp Storage! Too cool
Hi Sarah Longshore,
I store my wooden block stamps and ink pads, in acrylic box frames. I use them like trays. Hope this is help full, have a completely awesome day
Cynthia Mycroft Thanks for sharing your tip!
So simple but very effective. Could you tell me where you got the tab punch from. Please don't say Michaels. Unfortunately we don't have that store here downunder. TFS
It came to me from a subscriber but it is made by McGill if that helps. Thanks!
Thanks Maymay. I'll google it. Will be sure to find it from there. Thanks again. Lori
Would today you still recommend this form of organization of stamps or have you refined the process to something that works more smoothly?
Hi, here is a video that shows how we store the stamp sets now, thanks
@@tamthaluehrs Hi, am I missing the link to the video?

been looking for a idea. was going to use empty cd case. not now going to do this, thanks
Hey May May! Are the storage pockets pretty sturdy that you purchased? I've seen ones that are pretty flimsy. Just wonderin😉
Pretty good, they are small so that helps.
Watching this video today and thinking "if she only knew how many stamp sets she was destined to make." 💕
