When it comes to sandals, I'd always size up just because I think it's more comfortable to have more space on the already "slip on" slide. But if you can't handle the looseness or you like having your foot occupy the space, I'd size down. My initial suggestion would be to size up though. However, I suggested these to "Common Apparel" (check out his channel), and he liked them smaller, so it's really up to you.

yea and they ended up being too small so i recommend going .5 size up

Very true to size. A lot of people run a size bigger just so they have a little extra room, but I'm a 9, I got a 9, and they fit perfect.
