How much weight can a hardieflex 18mm board carry? Will it crack if the load it carries go beyond 1 tonne?
I’m assuming that your question pertains to flooring. If so, the load carrying capacity will be determined by the total system - meaning boards and framing. Better to seek advice from the manufacturer.

I prefer SCG Smartboard over Hardie because SCG has more thickness variant and more affordable. I also compared them, Hardie cracks easier than scg when we tried to bend it.
There also other brands like Gardner and Shera. If Im gonna rate them based on value for money , it's gonna be:
1 SCG
2 Hardie
3 Gardner
4 Shera
5 Kalsi (I think it's China-made)
Hi! We just had a hardiflex drywall installed and I don't know if it's safe to drill through it and set up home decor. We were warned not to mount the TV on it as it is not strong enough but will light home decor be okay?
you can hang heavy objects but you have to nail or screw against the studs.

At least 12mm gypsum board for drywall and 9mm gypsum board for ceiling.
Does cement board bonds to concrete cement? Can we use this as alternative for hallow block for concrete walls like sandwich a 4 inch thick concrete is this possible pls let me know thanks!

Hi! SOund proofing is a matter of plastering. You need a thicker coat of plaster. And yes, metal studs are used for Gypsum Boards.

For drywall a thickness of at least 12mm is recommended. For ceiling you can use 9mm.

Yes Sir it is! We have several brands including Boral and ABC Adhesives, and Konstruct among others. This is aside from the generic plastering compound available in MC Home Depot.

Hi Queza! The Hardiflex will merely absorb the water so you have some time. It's more a question of what is holding the boards up as they will rot (wood) or rust (metal).

Hi! Yes, you can directly attach tiles directly to Hardiflex boards. Use simple tile adhesive to stick them to the boards.
Try a flexible, cementitious tile adhesive.

Hi! More or less same lang. UNLESS you use insulated foam and roof paint that reflects heat.

Hi! They're almost the same weight. A 9mm Gypsum Board will weigh around 20kg, while a 4.5mm Hardiflex will weigh around 19.6kg. Thanks for asking!

Hi Lola Honey! If you're into the authentic Filipino "Bahay Kubo" then we recommend a Rattan weave on a Bamboo frame. The modern alternative would be wooden planks treated for outdoor use.

Whether your ceiling is made of gypsum boards or fiber cement boards, you should not allow it to be exposed to water and moisture. Aside from the damage to the boards, the metal framing holding your ceiling boards could rust and weaken over time. It is always best to repair leaks in your roofing immediately after discovering them. It is also good practice to inspect your roof for potential leaks once a year preferably before the rainy season starts to avoid costly repairs to your ceiling.
Inaanay ba ang gypsum board?
Hi! That's a complicated question. Yes, Termites will eat the paper that surrounds the gympsum core of a Gypsum board affecting structural integrity. HOWEVER! Because there is no wooden core to the boards, there is no room for the termites to nest, seek shelter or to multiply so they will most likely go somewhere else.
in regards in fireproof sino po mas ok sa dalawa?
Hi! It would depend. If you're talking regular Gypsum Board vs. regular Hardiflex used in the same manner, Gypsum board SHOULD burn faster. HOWEVER, there are brands for both Gypsum Board and Hardiflex that contain fire-retardant, whose effectivity would vary. Thanks for asking!
