Have just sown mine today I have used planting pots and sealed them in sandwich/freezer bags. I gave mine a little squeeze just to feel the casing of the seed crack, dropped on top of damp soil and sprinkled water with my fingers to seal them down (haven't got a spray bottle that doesnt smell chemically). Will let you know how it goes..... 😂

My big question isn't so much the germination but transition from humid to dry environment and when to do so ? I have had success around the 2 month to 3 month point in the past by slowly introducing air and moving gradually to indirect light as not to burn them but am always afraid I'm going to leave them too long or not enough in the moisture setting.

From my readings, i see people saying 4-9 months for the transition. This is my first attempt at growing and after 2 months some started turning yellow which from my readings indicates that its too humid. If i start another crop i will start the transition after 1-2 months.
As for light, very sensitive. I started with a 1000w aglex led light at 100% at 20 inches away and they started turning red after they sprouted. I turned the intensity down to 25%. after 2 weeks i noticed the red went away within days but then they started stretching so i turned intensity to 100%, no change so i put the light at 12 inches away and they started turning yellow but appeared to stop stretching and got wider. I started hardening them off after 2 months and one started turning red and one has appeared to have died. Now i am back to 20 inches away with 100% light intensity with the lid off
