    I'm so happy I came across this video! I've never heard of a pluerry tree, but I'm definitely gonna try to get my hands on one soon! I'm in zone 8a and I already have a plum tree. I've been wanting a cherry tree so this would be perfect for me!! Thanks for sharing!

      Do we really get enough chill hours in Phoenix? Especially in the last few years. I know people are growing them here but I haven’t heard about them actually producing fruit. I would love to grow this and Asian pears since they have similar chill hour requirements.

    What's a delicious looking fruit! Love the Hollyhocks in the background; they're one of my favorites. Once, mine grew so tall you could see them from the main road. I had a few neighbors knocking on my door asking about them. I was happy to share bouquets & later seeds!

    • @plantabundance
      @plantabundance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If you give them a bit a shade early on they should do fine. We often see temps over 100 here. Chill hours however, is crucial to getting a fruit set. 300-500 hours below 40f will suffice. Cheers!

      I "think" I know what you are referring to (Etsy). In all fairness those trees are 6ft tall in 15gal pots and ready to fruit compared to bare root. So basically you are getting a tremendous few yrs head start on production, so I can see why the price is what it is but it still comes down to if its affordable and worth it on an individual basis.

    Love it but Fructose is unhealthy.

    • @SiCaRiI_DaGgEr
      @SiCaRiI_DaGgEr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes fructose is bad, but what does that have to do with fruit? Fresh fruit contains naturally occurring "complex" sugars that are good for the body.
