Boy, some of the streetcars make so much noise when traveling, even at slow speeds. There must be bald spots on the wheels making a thud every time the wheel turns a revolution. Sometimes, when the vehicle brakes too hard, the wheels skid along the tracks creating these bald spots, or uneven areas in the wheels. The bald spots then damage the rail as it rolls creating a bad cycle.
Those are streetcars, a little different from normal train transit. I’m not sure why Portland doesn’t have two way, but it works. In some streetcars, only parts of the track are 2-way, meaning a train will only pass a train on those spaces.

Oregon Transit Fan Better than fucking driving cars and creating traffic jams. It is also much more eco friendly.

Yeah these things aren't great. So bumpy, they always smell, and are dirty inside. I take buses so I can avoid it in Downtown.

The streets are one way. They go with the flow of traffic
Slowest things on earth. I've yet to complete a ride on these streetcars, I become so frustrated at how slow they are. That I get off and walk.
