This is a fantastic video. I can really appreciate the clean, modular construction of what is clearly a very well-made boombox, designed toward the end of the cassette tape's lifespan. The commentary and scrolling text are very informative and the video has aged very well despite the peak 2000's production (before we had fantastic cameras on our phones!). Great video.
That's very similar to my old boombox. I used to have a Panasonic RX-FT 530 that is a little bit different from the 570. In the 530 model, both decks are unidirectional (no autoreverse) and there's not the XBS sistem.
That's a higher end model than most of those type boomboxes! Auto-reverse, high-bias tape... "Mike FM" I hear has just been from you radio, in my area there is a station, "Tom FM"! That looks so cool to see the auto-reverse operate! Record quality is good!
Do you by chance know where I can download the service manual for this radio? Im trying to replace the belts on one and have no idea how they are suppose to run. You said it takes two belts?
Hi Chris, Sorry I don't know where to get a service manual for this machine. I no longer have mine (this video is from 11 years ago - 2008). If I recall, I bought an "assortment" pack of cassette belts from E-Bay, and that pack had belts the sizes I needed.

Panasonic is one of the best electronic company.
