I know exactly where you’re coming from with the charcoal bag and the string.
It works about 1 in 500 times, I’m sure there’s a trick I’m missing 🥺

Those strings are a hit'n'miss. For me, I cut about a centimetre from the end of the bag. Pick a string, if it pulls you the end then its jackpot. Otherwise, I try the other side.
