Halewood is one of the only places, if the only place in liverpool with such greenery, this greenery keeps the residents happy and the house prices in the area high. I am 14 and find this annoying to see my home village be built on by multi-millionaire's so that halewood can be modernised. This is blasphemy.

@Fidan Aliti Deffo make Liverpool the 2nd largest in Britain i don't know why Widnes isn't in mersyside it's beside the mersey!! (which should be called Greater Liverpool) That's where they went wrong they should have left manchester in Lancashire and called merseyside Greater Liverpool and expanded the airport

Halewood Village won't be able to cope with the extra traffic. The new homes will be family homes with 2 or 3 cars per house, not to mention work vans. Driving around school run time will be a nightmare. No one on that estate is going to walk to school. Parents can't even walk a couple of hundred yards to their children's school at the moment. The council are talking about traffic control measures. The measures they have in place at the moment in Halewood Village have had no effect upon the idiots driving at speed along Church Road. When you do drive at the 20 mile an hour limit, you invariably get some idiot about 4 foot behind you trying to speed you up.
Despite Halewood not being in the city of Liverpool most people work in Liverpool, and the most popular route is through Halewood village and via Lydiate Lane. The traffic on Lydiate Lane is already horrendous at rush hour, and is sometimes almost backed up to the roundabout near the English Rose.
This whole enterprise is a money making exercise, where the quality of life for existing residents is irrelevant.
Halewood Village is exactly that, a village and the roads were built to accomodate light traffic not for a moderately sized town.
