Oh, I remember the time when was having poppy seed pastry while walking in Vilnius old town and the reporter from the National television LRT stopped me asking to smile to the camera as they were doing episode about smiling people. And I did... And then I saw myself on National television smiling widely from ear to ear with the teeth full of poppy seeds on the show about the smiles (and they even had them zoomed in!).
I lived in the building next to the hotel where you stayed for 1 year. It was a beautiful, quiet city. I have good memories in this city. I will definitely return there someday.
Hello Laura :) you had very beautiful long weekend while exploring beautiful city like Druskininkai during winter season , you visited a lot of interesting public places , such an amazing adventure for you while traveling around Lithuania , i would say proudly that this long interesting vlog of you is one my favorites , everytime you give so much love and joy for this beautiful country , i'm very happy that you choosed to live in a gorgeous country like Lithuania , you're very wonderful person , i wish you a lot of great upcoming journeys around Lithuania , thank you very much for this truly wonderful adventure in Druskininkai :) , can't wait to see your new upcoming videos , stay safe , take care bye :)
Hi Rokas, thanks so much for your comment! I"m glad you liked the longer vlog style! Lithuania is indeed a beautiful country, I'm grateful to be able to live here and explore it as much as I have so far :)
Me and my family have been visiting this place since i was 3. At first we randomly discovered this place,we ve been visiting druskininkai for several years through my life(we lived in SPA Vilnius).I met some famous Russian actors there such as Macovecky Sergey, who played main villain in Brat 2 and director Sergey Solovyov. This place has its own energy.Heaven on earth if you have your heart opened. Now we have real estate in on of the new buldings near Belarus Hotel.I'm from Moscow btw.Peace and love to y'all.
Beautiful park area and love the upside-down house! Very cool spa. Quite an interesting town. You’ll have to go back to film in summer. Beautiful picturesque town. Thankyou for filming 🙂
That was really great Laura! I'm a lot more relaxed just by watching you being relaxed after spending time at those fabulous Spas 😀 Living between Mexico (Yucatan) and parts of the Philippines (Siquijor), I am just in awe of the extreme cleanliness practically everywhere you go in Lithuania, or really anywhere in the Baltic states! I spent a great New Years Eve in Tallinn a few years back, definitely need to add Lithuania to my list next time I'm in the general neighborhood.
It is incredibly clean here, it really blew me away when I first got here after coming from Mexico City. I highly recommend Lithuania the next time you get to this part of the world!
Off topic, but there's something to be said about doing fun activities alone. A lot of people act as though it's weird to go see a movie, eat at a restaurant or hell, even go to an indoor skiing arena, by yourself, but I find it so nice and relaxing? Of course it's fun with friends, but alone time can be just as fulfilling.
Next time I recommend Grand Spa Lietuva hotel/complex which has its own water park with saunas. It is smaller obviously but still large enough and with less children as there are only few slides, but the best part that it is included in your room rate and you can visit it all day as much times as you wish without leaving the hotel. Also lots of other optional treatments like masaages etc. Love it.
I am in Sydney, Australia right now and thinking it should be summer ☀️ - but today it was raining ☔️ and severe wind 💨 storm. I heard it’s going to be a wet summer here. If I can’t have Summer, I want to be back in Lietuva with the snow ⛄️

Sounds like the perfect weekend away. Not some much the water cannon...LOL!! Loved this vlog...I noticed it might be the longest vlog you've done. Looks like you had a great time and made the most of what Druskininkai has to offer.
haha it was quite invigorating. Intimidating at first, but actually felt so good afterward. It is indeed one of my longest vlogs, what do you think of this length? I'm hoping to start making most of the travel vlogs this length so that they tell more of a complete story?
@@laura-bronner IMO you shouldn't really have a length in mind. If a certain location warrants a 30 minute video then don't cut anything out. If there's content for 15 minutes then there's no need to artificially drag it out. Artistic choice is yours so to say.
You must absolutely come in May -June! It's blooming with flowers and lots of activities. Also try mineral spring rooms, mud bath, salt rooms, massages. Lots of spa hotels here with lots of packages. You can pop in and ask for services, no need to stay in those hotels or buy full packages. For some, you need doctor's permission, like mud bath.
When it's warm, another awesome activity in Druskininkai is renting bikes. There are so many great bike paths around the lake and through the forest :) We do that all the time, when we visit
I glad you enjoyed Laura. Druskininkai my favourite place to spend relaxing time, this small town designed for all age of groups enjoy family time. If I back to Lithuania I definitely going move to Druskininkai.
Hi Laura! Thank you very much for your video! I moved to Druskininkai in August but haven't experienced SPA and Snow Arena yet, so it was interesting to see how you were spending your weekend there. I think that Druskininkai is a wonderful place and definitely worth visiting. Next time I highly recommend you go to Grūto Parkas (a historical museum and a zoo) and Česnulis Sculpture&Leisure Park. I promise you will love it!
Hey Laura, what great experiences you had in Druskininkai! That town was always known known for its health resort, but I did not experience any of that when I visited in the 1990s. Did you know that its name comes from the word for salt -- druskos? A salt worker is called druskininkas, with the plural being druskininkai. The odd collection of salt shakers most definitely was inspired by the connection with its salt and mineral history. Always LOVE your adventures!!!
I had read about the name a bit, but didn't know the whole story, thank you so much for sharing! I'm so glad you enjoyed this adventure and thank you for always taking the time to comment, it means a lot!
So it was last weekend and temperature was... still autumnish. Can't wait to see the video about cold spell. (it wasn't too much, like -15 or so at worst). How was it?
The water cannon is scary at first, but it feels really good after they're done with it. And you don't get like bruises or anything so the power is well adjusted.
