Thank you so much I wish I knew about this a week ago. My wife went to some store spent so much money on soccer ball moles and you could probably use any bowl that’s round and that you can bake it in the oven. Thank you for your showing appreciate what you do.
Amazing! Thank you for the video! Could you please share how many servings this is? Also I'd love to split each half sphere in 2 layers so I can have more filling, have you tried this as well or used just cake?
I have not tried to add more filling - i did consider it but you would have to then make sure your patches will fit the slightly bigger sphere. This cake was about 10-12 servings
The idea of aluminum foil with the coins should be in the 2 cakes, right? But when you take them out of the oven, none of them can see that it have had anything in the center. For that reason that makes me doubt.
Yes. and I had someone say they sank on her, so it has to be the right amount to not sink with the density of the batter. It seems a more complicated thing so maybe a new idea is needed.
It depends on the size of the bowls. But whatever the time you’d normally use, give it an extra 5-10 and check it often. I know this is not a satisfactory answer but it depends so much. These cakes took about 35-40 min overall
oh no! it collapsed? I have not had this happen before - i wonder if it was too hollow or maybe had a soft filling that couldn't support it? I am so sorry that happened - but I bet you had some tasty scraps!

There’s always next year! Thanks
Thank you for sharing
Such clean work! How did you know what size shapes to print for the black and white patches?
where can I find the recipe for this specific cake please?

This looks awesome! Did you make the fondant? What type do you recommend.
By chance what is the size of your shapes as far as the sides? 1 inch?

How cool should they be before you pop them out of bowl?
Let them cool for maybe 20 min at least. They can be warm but the cooler the better
Can't make it 😢 Every time I try to place the white and black ball pieces, they became asymmetrical with each other
Thanks so much
You're welcome!
How long do you have to keep them in the oven from the beginning?

Are the shapes fondant?
Yup
I tried to make half a bowl but hahah it collapsed when i tried lifting the bowl up even tho i had the filled cake in there for a day

the "trick" with tin foil resulted in coins baked into our cakes. The foil flopped over and sank coins and all. Yuck
i am so sorry that happened - but i am very glad you shared this. Thank you and sorry :(
Request: How to make a LBSC E2 (Thomas the Tank Engine) Cake Topper please?
i have a choo-choo charles video of a cake topper - and while it is very different genre, the overall idea may help?
