    Great film. I wondered if the chocolate was sweetened. A popular drink in Mexico at the time was just unsweetened chocolate with milk. I didn't know if it was manufactured and you could buy it with sweetener in it. There are some forms of chocolate that have so little sugar in them that the bitterness comes through but they're still delicious. Thank you for the film.

    • @cynthiachengmintz672

      Unsweetened as in 100% cacao? Because I’d totally do it!

    • @mickeymcclaren8403
      @mickeymcclaren8403 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cynthiachengmintz672 very unsweetened. It was originally considered a drink for the Inca and Aztec rulers. It was drunk without any sweetener. It was supposed to be a gift of the gods. Which chocolate is. I also noticed but this is recently but Ghirardelli baking chocolate is also very much milder and less bitter than some of the other chocolates for baking that are unsweetened. I would also not mind unsweetened chocolate and I often put chocolate unsweetened in my coffee. It's wonderful.

    Just saying you should not stack your fire wood against your cabin it can attract bugs of different sorts worst of all termites you may transfer them from them half rotten logs you chopped on need to build a wood shelter asap beside your cabin to store your wood in and rub down the inside of your wood box in house with an oil of sorts kerosene is what they used back in the day it kinda smells for a bit but worth it to keep bugs down 👍 oh and bother gathering cotton wood its not good for burning really its just a hassle lol.
    And stacking wood in front like that don't really keep it dry when it rains hard also. Need a full covered roof and side that is facing the incoming weather if not 3 sides . 4 post in the ground and sticks going up the sides is good enough easy to do too. Thick Moss if you can find some or a big piece of oil canvass roof over close knit sticks 👍

    WOW, how expensive! You bout a cocoa ground? Here in the Philippines, in some part of the province we still do this with the old fashion ways with the use of old ceramic pot or the old thick metal pot and a wooden whisk looking mallet we call "batirol", for 45 or more mins we "whisk" it or until the chocolate becomes thick while adding cows/goat milk.
