Portrait of the Artist is definitely a little high brow. Haven't read it myself but it seems very challenging. I am a big fan of Joyce's short stories, though. "The Dead" from Dubliners is a really profound short and one of my favorites. I'll have to check out Covenant of Water. It kind of reminds me of an Indian version of Pachinko (which I also loved lol).
I put my journaling stuff in one big plastic box that I can move around but looking at your stuff I was thinking of a library cart or 3 tier kitchen cart. I just got a narrow 9" by 3 feet 3 tier cart and it rolls around. Maybe a Christmas or Birthday present.
Im glad you had a favorite. Definitely happens to find ones you also really dislike. Thats how it goes sometimes 😉. But its always such a great feeling to find that one book that really speaks to you or means a lot to you ❤. Ok be well.
Since you love chunky books, I HAVE to recommend you Cathedral by Ben Hopkins. This story takes place in medieval Germany, in a city named Hagenburg where its citizen's lives are affected in different ways by the building of a cathedral. The story spans years, following the lives of nobles and merchants, religious leaders and peasants, Jewish moneylenders and persecuted heretics, etc... I CRIED when I finished this book. Also, for a short modern classic, I have to recommend you Passing by Nella Larsen. It is such an affective story despite it being quite short. I love your channel, by the way!

I feel bad when I don’t like a well-known classic, LOL. But it’s true. That’s just how it is sometimes.
