  • This residence was born from the study of a concept for a house surrounded by nature despite being in a frenetic city like Turin.
Studioata has a precise objective: to be in harmony with the city by creating green spaces aimed at multiple purposes. Planting trees well positioned in front of all the openings of the house creates a total immersion in nature from the inside, while from the outside, being surrounded by other houses, it creates at the same time privacy and a pleasant view of a small green grove.
The external design is characterized by gray colors, designed to highlight the green color of the plants. A gray paint colors the perimeter walls of the house while a blue stone from Liège sets the tone for the flooring and cladding of the staircase that leads to the green terrace.
The internal design presents an unusual peculiarity, the house, being an enclosed cell, the perimeter walls are all blind and consequently the rooms to have light and air can only look either on the main courtyard or on the patio while all the service spaces have been leaned against the Czech part of the house.
The materials used are minimal and reduced to a minimum, with white shaved walls and the floor is in cast concrete enriched by a sowing made of Carrara marble which makes it brighter, the windows are black to always create a contrast with nature and the pure white of the modern house.
Modern furniture is not designed to be the protagonist, in fact it is masked, such as the kitchen which is built into the wall disappearing into the flush masonry as are the doors to the sleeping area. The only characterizing element in the kitchen is the island with the hob and sink, clad in Italian Walnut wood, the same wood that also covers the door that leads into the sleeping area and services.
The creation of a green patio inside the house, the study of the positioning of the trees in front of the windows overlooking the main courtyard and the particular and rich green garden on the roof of the house create a total and fantastic immersion in nature while being in a very important city area.
The house in the trees is meant to feel like home for all intents and purposes, and not to feel suffocated by the city. The elements used give a lot of character and uniqueness to this house that breathes and gives breath to the neighborhood.
