Amazing dialogue between these two luminaries. My mind is a bit gob-smacked after the first listen - these two minds romp through paradigm busting ideas like sun beams. I feel a little left in the dust and have to listen again!
With Rupert, the ideas are always so surprising and yet so simple and natural and ultimately make so much sense. And they also often strike my heart and get it involved as well -- that's why his theories and ideas seem so JUICY to me.
Thank you both for these precious dialogues.

An accident showed me a feature of my 'consciousness'. I fell into an irrigation "wasteway" that took excess water down to the Columbia River at a Very steep angle. As I slid down on the algae-covered concrete, my mind suddenly produced an image of newspapers being printed & stacking up.. & when I could read their front page it was about a "teenage boy dies in plunge into the river". In other words it was predicting my future as best it could, given the info at hand. The final 3m of this plume was a different medium, upon which my wet trousers slowly skidded to a halt.. & I didn't go over the edge, to land on the boulders 10m below. At the point where I stopped, my mind was.. blank. Very revealing to me! ^..^

Fascinating! Reminded me of an open-eye meditation session I did once at an Ashram where the teacher showed us how to "reverse" our vision so instead of looking "out" we drew the energy "in." Then we had to look the teacher directly in the eyes while pulling in. That 15 minute exercise produced some of the most profound visual hallucinations I have ever experienced.

"Where visual and mental meet" could explain why Autistics often describe eye contact as painfully intense making most conversation very difficult/impossible. Me speaking to groups, two or more people, very much changes my personal perceptions being overwhelmed by gazes intensity of unfathomable incoming energy = concentration kaput! This makes Autists vulnerable to bullying when others detect perceived "weakness" of their interpersonal interactions or inability to effectively manage incoming energies from light magnifying strange eyes. Many decades of outdoor living/backpacking I very often noticed how animals when surprised instantly intensely make eye contact even at very far distances and also how animals, especially Road Runner, has strange ability to see my mind's eye thus able to better camouflage themselves accordingly, they know what I see! ~

What's being called 'high functioning autism' is perhaps not a disorder at all, in many cases. Calling it such might, in many cases, be pathologizing an awareness or a way of being that is more advanced or simply different. Intense social anxiety and comparison of one's own insides with other people's outsides, coupled with the need for a diagnosis covered by insurance, could also be factors.

How I love these conversations! 16.30 but God doesn't need to discover where things are & what is happening, since God is the very being & source of everything - not just an entity amid others, but Being Itself / Amself. So there is nothing unknown to or uncaused by God. The very concept of God is the ultimate reality at the core & everything ... nothing exists without (outside) God. So God doesn't need sense organs through which to find out things. Such a being would be 'a god' (demigod? demiurge?) within the created world, rather than the creator /God.
An absolutely wonderful, gripping conversation, as always. I love Mark's note that what's looking out is as important as what's coming in ... (our cultural conditioning etc) The time-reversal ideas are utterly fascinating. Thank you both! 🙏

I think it's the Mandaka Upanishad that poses the question, What is it by knowing which, I will know all things? The answer is consciousness, Brahman. It's astonishing to me that Indian philosophers were addressing these question hundreds of years ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda has some wonderful talks on the Upanishads, the Bhagavat Gita and other works. I loved this conversation. Thank you.

Yes -- except the Vedas, and teachings of Buddha & Patañjali, are 1000s, not 100s, of years old (Buddha -- over 2500 years, Vedas even older).

    • @amanitamuscaria7500
      @amanitamuscaria7500 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@leonstenutz6003 agree....but scholars disagree about longevity. If I say thousands, someone corrects my foolishness. I can't win. But when one considers that the oral tradition predates the written tradition.....we are talking thousands of years. The Indian texts are without doubt ancient beyond our understanding.....and so incredibly wise; far in advance of cutting edge philosophy of mind in the West today. We can't even get as far as distinguishing mind from consciousness! Namaste.

@@amanitamuscaria7500 I hear you. That said, any serious scholar who knows anything at all about the Vedas, and the first written commentaries on Buddha, knows they were written at least two thousand years BCE -- so i wouldn't worry about the speculations of uninformed people.

Vision coming from the future and reaching into past as you said I found fascinating. I learned recently that causality is still an unsolved problem in philosophy and in physics! My guess is that causality is holistic, including all of reality, past, present and future, and with that idea vision reaching into the past is a valid hypothesis.

I think we need to understand interactions of dimensions. When I think of light it might be a 2-dimensional medium that doesn't interact with time, but it crosses the pane of space, therefore it underlies causality, yet it's all there anytime, all at once. If mind has a electromagnetic quality and therefore underlies some kind of interaction with this field, distance is actually an illusion when in the right state of mind. That's also why there is some kind of back coupling when you're staring at someone in a slightly higher conscious/focused state. You actually feel yourself resonating with the bigger field of consciousness being stared at by yourself.

No no no, @19:46 it is not transmission through time it is the material/etheric connection. One of the metaphysical problems of our thinking has to do with dimensions. We need to talk about phase space, orders, dimensions/degrees-of-freedom, octaves/planes. We are in an active phase space, where an implicate order has had an emergent explicate order, manifest a volume of activity, which resonated across octaves or planes of development, from matter, to life, to self conscious awareness. The universe is self creating, self organizing, not entropic, expanding, or depleting. It is evolving. We are evolving, we are the universe evolving.

The first time was quite, very disturbing - creepy, if you like.
The 2nd was quite amazing - walking along a saturday-morning market high street, i had a moment with somebody four floors up, and way over there!
In the moment, there needn't have been anybody else on the high street - we connected and, i'd love it to happen again! I wonder what they experienced, up in their apartment, as they stared at me amongst a crowd of 1000s?, before i, starkly, singled them out, all the way over there, and up there!

Presumably, the person who 'correctly' senses they are being stared at is in some sense extending their mind out, so to speak, to the person's (or animals') mind who is, at that moment, staring at them? Would this imply a form of sensory apparatus that when it is activated, would, or should have a concomitant activity in the brain - as with our 'normal' senses?

at approx. 12:50 the topic of the direction of time - the phenomenon of retroactive continuity (aka Mandela Effect) is treated in a specific way by so-called scientific outlets - what would a conversation be like in this video series? there are residual anomalies both virtual (online) and physical that no longer match the memory of millions or billions of individuals from everywhere - there are changes to historical narratives and new events like Black Tom Island being the first foreign attack on US soil, the location of South America being much farther east than many recall, logos and changed to well known song lyrics and celebrity names, changes to Bible passages, among hundreds of others. One resource is on Odysee under Brian S Staveley where he has a “Mandela Effect shortlist” that presents evidence for a single effect in each video.

There is a man named R Scott lemriel who says that the actual person he calls an Atman which is the Eternal human God particle has an orb above the head that is actually the Eternal person. He says that orb is a real thing he says that when we are asleep we move into that and somewhat leave the body to run other lives other places? He believes we are Eternal God particles dressed an extremely high tech space suits there's a lot more that he says about how we got here how many of us didn't actually choose it so recently the vertically integrated off-planet corporate structure that owned us and controlled us with a high-tech mind control device making us do things that we would never choose and after we do them we don't remember! Essentially, the star's light has already travelled lightyears to your position, and your vision is travelling out and meeting that light where they intersect in space.

Example... When I was hereby physically viewing with my own two eyes at a bipedal creature... Who was situated just across the creek while standing beside the right side of the tree, from just above halfway mark up the side of the ridge. Next I am now holding my camera up to my face viewing thru the camera's screen, surprisingly I now amazingly spy a second similar looking creature who is also standing next to the same tree, except it is on the left side while the other bi-pedal creature is still there on the right side of the tree... STRANGE ~ I next lower the camera screen away from my face to physically view the creatures, except there is no more creature on the left side only the right side of the tree still has the creature present... Dumbfounded or I was thinking possible hallucination of sorts lol That is until I have again raised the camera's screen back up to my face a second time, and once again spying the left side creature there in plain sight.. along with the presence of the right side creature... Third time's the charm when the same results are achieved, having now realized what is actually taking place by tapping into an inter-dimensional realm...! Thanks

No light actually enters your brain, it's all frequency. All matter is frequency either absorbed or rejected which determines its mass. Mass is created by the preprogrammed formula determining the forming and collapsing wave of exchange. The wave function of the Fibronacci sequence and amount of predetermined energy at the moment of exchange creates a void filled by a vacuum of suspension of which Gravity is emergent. Gravity then light are supported by the substrate of Either, of which Either is instantaneous throughout the Universe. The entire celestial machine is created by Consciences. Consciences creates the Habitat for which life can exist, but it's all actually an illusion. Virtually all matter is empty space.

Mark, you should have a chat with Rupert about video lighting. His lighting looks so much better than yours.

James Gibson is recognised as the champion of the information-based, field-based theory of perception. He utterly rejected the representational rubbish theory.

The universe is made up of not only electromagnetic waves but also sonic or compression waves. In the manifested world/dimension there is no escaping polarity/duality.

Perhaps it's too much to ask that Deepak Chopra's name be ''stricken from the record'' as a ''doctor'' of whatever, he's not a scientist he's a charlatan, a con man, a ''woo woo'' witch doctor at best who pretends to know what theoretical physics says when it describes ''non local'' matter.
Chopra has been embarrassed in public at MIT calling an actual theoretic physicist ''someone pretending to be a scientist.'' And then goes on to string many terms used in metaphysics and microphysics into a spaghetti string of nonsense.
I'm happy to hear Sheldrake's theories, he doesn't demand that he knows as much as a nuclear scientist, or someone with a PHD in physics, he merely suggests there are other ways of interpreting the information available.
On another note, Chopra claims to have the secret to eternal life, and he makes money with this bologna.

Entanglement, gentlemen. Holonicly scaling entanglement. As far as we know entanglement is directional and requires no medium. (Though photons may be the medium since they are pervasive throughout the universe. Or maybe neutrinos.....)
The idea of time reversal that is related to the universal directionality of time in mathematics is a useful thought experiment but results in a dead end. Math only tells the truth it's given to tell and ultimately does a poor job of modeling reality.
