I'm so glad to see more of Chani in the media waves. Her workshops online and newsletter has provided such a positive, purposeful, and productive avenue for me to continually examine myself and take a collective breath. Her work aids so many for a healthy life and I'm so grateful for her and hope more people will know her work too!
“I don’t know why astrology works.” The reason astrology “works” is that our soul planned this life/incarnation for us, and much of that planning is coded in our birth chart-our personality traits, life purpose and much more. One’s birth chart is a road map of our soul’s journey in this life.
I think the moment you understand that all matter matters and responds to each other, you will eventually understand that astrology is a science and Chani is on the forefront of discovery ✊🏾🧡✊🏾
Astrology doesn’t work. You give the exact same horoscope to a class of college students, they all think you nailed their individuality in some magical way. It SEEMS to work because astrologers make general statements about the components of human personality, and it turns out that under the surface, we are all roughly the same bundle of strengths and weaknesses, confidence and insecurity, self-belief mixed with guilt and fear. Sure, everyone is unique, but not NEARLY as unique as they think they are. And our surface differences are far greater than our inner differences. Example: attractive women are nearly as insecure about their appearance as homely women. Who knew? Well, all this is easily confirmable by well designed psych experiments snd confidential surveys. THAT’S why astrology SEEMS to work but doesn’t really work at all. It’s part of the dumbing down of our culture that the “serious” media outlets like CBS take this well-disproved charlatanism seriously these days. In the days before cable and the internet they would have exposed this sort of thing, not promoted it. Imagine Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow taking this tabloid-fodder seriously? Not in a million years. But in the age of Trump, with widespread denial of climate science, natural history, and simple viral epidemics, every sort of tabloid nonsense can pass for “reality”.
If I was a therapist and she came to my office talking like that I would think she had childhood trauma, was lost, and looking for anything to give purpose in a purposeless world 🤪
Don't knock what you haven't tried. You AREN'T a therapist, or you would know that Carl Jung did astrology charts on all his patients (actually his daughter made them for him), and he said this, "Psychology will be a dinosaur science until it includes Astrology." I agree in being skeptical, but an open-minded skeptic is willing to learn something, otherwise they are just as bad as the people that believe everything, hook-line-and-sinker.
Congratulations! You just described what being alive is like! Except, I don't appreciate the negative connotation about childhood trauma and finding purpose. We all have experienced trauma in our childhoods in one form or another, varying by degrees and many factors. If we didn't view trauma in this way (i.e. it leads us so astray, etc.), then there would be a lot more healing going on. Shame and stigma are why people don't begin to attempt to get help to work through their trauma. Inaccessibility to resources to help with healing also affects many (but that's a whole other conversation). Astrology has been an amazing tool for lots of people who can find purpose and have agency over their choices to heal as Chani said. I'm sure if you took a look at your birth chart, there would be some helpful bits in there for self examination. It's the first step to being more and more healthy.
Anyone who properly studies astrology and reads what she writes knows almost immediately that she hasn't put in the work to know what she's talking about. I don't know her life story, but I'd bet money she's from southern California and wants to brand herself "Instagram astrology girl." The fact that she does what she does fully aware people take her words seriously is simply irresponsible. I wish she would make way for someone who's perhaps less telegenic but who has real expertise beyond vague, woo positivity that sounds nice on Twitter.
Don’t complain about any special kind of president in any future for this country....when you have people with this kind of logic ( specially in Manhattan) voting. 👀
Such a great interviewer. His questions, the interactions...Very professional and respectful
Anyone else impressed by the level of journalism here?

Ever heard the quote "Millionaires don't have astrologers, Billionaires do" ? Just curious
@@ShakeMyWay There's nothing to try, it literally doesn't exist. And just because Jung believed in it doesn't say anything.
