    The text/justify at the end was the best tip I've seen. Awesome. I will be taking your course in 2024. Thanks.

    EXCEL-lent video.!!! I work with many people in help groups and YES all of this is so common, especially typing in units with your numbers turning them into text, then they have no clue why their formulas don't work. one other thing i see quite often and not sure why... if A1 > B1 then put 10 in C1 if not put 20 so we get a formula (c1) =IF(A1>B1,"10","20") but because they CENTER all their values, its not evident right away what is wrong.

    In VBA the use of
    Range("A1").Select
    Selection.Bold = True
    Because macro recording has been used. The use of Selection in a macro is almost always bad. It's a side effect.
    The only use I know for Selection. in macros is if you want context sensitive macros where what happens depends on what you have selected.
    Spot on with the Tabula data. 4th Normal form rules.

    Awesome video.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Just subscribed.
    Curious, do the lookup functions have to reference data from the same spreadsheet?
    If not, could you do a video demonstrating how to use V/H/ or XLOOKUP from a different spreadsheet and/or workbook?

    Well done Sir, thank you for the simplicity and great content. Keep up the good work!:) You could put section names into your youtube video for better view in my opinion tho.

    Thanks! Please make sure that you're capturing the entire Excel screen, though. I am still learning and at 2:15 you were adding things to the pivot table and I couldn't see what it was being added to because it was cropped out of the video.

    Heh, I was expecting the last tip to be to turn on word wrap and merge the cells. I wasn't impressed.
    Then you didn't do that and I learned something. Thank you!

    I had no idea something like XLOOKUP even existed. I use to use a system that would output reports in some crazy formats. Having something like XLOOKUP would have been a life saver. Can you use one XLOOKUP formula for multiple return values. So say I needed it to look up the name, but I also had Associate ID, Salary, and Business Unit, and I just needed it to return Business Unit and Salary. Would that a lookup formula for each data point?

    • @easy_sheets
      @easy_sheets  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can return multiple values! They need to be contiguous if using just xlookup but you can use the CHOOSE function inside to get non-contiguous columns!

    • @erikguzik8204
      @erikguzik8204 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also if you are just retuning one column of data you can look up the entire range in one cell (not sure why this never gets shown - of course it doesn't work if you want to return multiple columns of data.... =XLOOKUP(E4:E8,B2:B25,A2:A25,"Not Found")

      xlookup is one of many new function that excel has deployed the last 5 years. i love the dynamic array functions UNIQUE, SORT & FILTER.

    9:16 in scientific reporting you’d just put your unit of measurement in the title/heading of the table, i.e “High Jump/ m” or “High Jump (m)”.

    • @easy_sheets
      @easy_sheets  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes that's a good way to do it. There are some use cases for the formatting way, typically when not in a table on a calculated number, so probably not the best example in the video but gets the point across i think.
