Hallo there, H100 owner here. I´m doing a lot of business calls and the noise suppression of the microphones is world class. I can be literally in the city centre, with a LOT of cars around me and the other person hears only my voice. Furthermore the ergonomic for adjusting volume/ANC during a call is just fantastic. With the audio quality I´m satisfied, it's not world class but very good for my taste (trance, dance, techno, classical music). PS: Beyerdynamic Aventho 300 could be an idea!
Interesting observation about the placement of the DALIs. I tried them briefly around a month ago and they sounded just plain broken to me. The bass was an issue for me, sure, but I imagine that I must also have placed them in the way that you described at first. I might give them another go and adjust their positioning and/or use a cable if I get the chance.
For me, Dali is best to listen to is wired in passive mode. And this advantage alone, I mean the option to use wire in passive mode, not something many other top wireless headphones can offer. As for the fit - glasses do tend to affect the sound profile. I never use my glasses when listen to Dali. For more "relaxed" expirience i recommend Bose QC ultra earbuds, with tuned down bass. And Dali, they are beautiful headphones made to enjoy beautiful music, in my opinion. Sure, they can do rap, techno and so on, but you don't buy expensive car to drive on a bus line
I love my Dali io-12! No longer looking for anything else ever since I got this one! Still watching your videos though as you always have the most interesting insights in this hobby. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your unbiased observations & measurements! At such price ranges (€800-€1500), it only makes sense to get a non-disposable headphone (one that can be enjoyed without batteries as well). I applaud Dali's effort to shift towards this approach in the currently disposable wireless ANC world. The iO-12's main disadvantage to me is its size. A wireless ANC headphone should be portable; I can get a better-sounding open-back alternative to use at home for less money.
This and the previous ANC headphone ranking reviews are great. I have one question though. If you were judging these headphones purely on sound quality what would be the in the S and the A tier? I ask this because you do buy wireless headphone nowadays for pure convenance of not having to bother about cables or DACs etc,. so, while they may not be the most comfortable or fit (like many wired headphones) or may not have the best ANC, sometimes it's all about the sound quality for that 1 or 2 songs you listen to. I get Bose and likes are in that market where Dalis or Bathys play. Thanks !!
That's interesting, I actually had opposite experience for Dali and T+A. Dali tremble sounded shouty to me , wonder if that's because of the positioning? I also prefer an app so eq is easier. T+A HQ mode and relax preset really worked well for me. I've already returned the Dali, but now want to try it again 😂
Got the H100’s heavily discounted from Neiman Marcus over Thanksgiving. I’m no audiophile and this my first pair of higher end headphones, and even I can tell the treble is problematic. Listen to higher-frequency white noise or crispy asmr and you’ll hear how messy it is. Such a shame, as these have some great features (the on-head detection is a highlight for me). Hoping the treble response is improved with future software updates.
An interesting noise-cancelling headphone would be the Shure Aonic 50 gen 2. The pads maybe a little too small for you, and the ANC isn't the best, but the sound is pretty good, without too much bass.
I tried H100. While it is good, Bathys is just as good, also more engaging with slightly V shaped sound. H100 is too neutral. But i can give a credit it’s first headphone i heard with 0 hiss when ANC is on.
@ I’m very treble sensitive person with perfectly fine hearing at 26. It was B&O store in Istanbul. Maybe it was EQ’d, idk. Still not worth more than $500 and leap below hd 600 in technical performance.
@@maxcardif9879 I reckon the store noise and maybe the demo tunes will affect the first impressions of trying out different headphones. Especially with the added bass which usually helps in drowning out the noise from within the store
Would have been interesting to see measurements of harmonic distortion on the Dali. Does the SMC material reduce the odd order distortion as well as claimed? Well we might never know 🤔
You kinda contradict yourself like on one hand you say we should have more anc headphones that actually prioritise sound quality but then you say that honestly it does not matter because you would still grab Bose ultra over Dali io-12 like what? I had a pleasure to try these Dali headphones and man I could hardly hear that bluetooth limitations there. People are praising these wired budget headphones like hd560s or Maxwell but I would never take them over Dali io-12, ML5909, Px8's or M4 when I'm commuting like maybe they are more detailed but the enjoyability is not there.
It's mainly because in order for the dali to be tolerable for me, I have to wear it in a spot that's not comfortable. But yeah there's no limitations with Bluetooth for any of these, it's just frequency response.
I was waiting for Your impressions about DALIs and clicked the video as soon as I saw the familiar headphones shape. All I can say is I respect Your opinion about IO-12… but You’re wrong ;) Firstly - the interface. I really liked the approach in terms of no added app and simple operating type of function - that was the point of making these as they are. No fuss, no problem. EQ? Bass mode could be removed in my opinion because HI-FI one is all You need to appreciate the sound. And the sound is not that V-shaped… Yes, the bass can be mighty and tectonic but all in all I really like that for most of the time it keeps itself at bay until it is called off for show and man, it’s wonderful - it can show the vibration, texture, shape and all of this is not interfering with other sounds. Midrange is not in-Your-face direct but well constructed in a manner which can make You blush while hearing first seconds of Maria Mena’s „I was made for loving You” and dynamic enough to blow away the listener with final of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s „Freebird”. Yes, the upper-range has a little sizzle but I noticed that after proper burn-in it becomes more tamed and gives more good to the mix than bad (don’t forget that these drivers are somewhat different from other ones on the market). In terms of space and staging these are not as good as open-types but can show A LOT of good stuff with great layering and separation. Example? Final part of „Waiting for the End” by Linkin Park - it was the first time when I’ve heard all the instruments so beautifully placed and easy to spot… All in all these turned my world upside down and made me immediately buy them because of all of the above. I tested a huge amount of headphones with all kinds of drivers and connection types and I would never guess that I’ll trade it for this Bluetooth pair. Finally I’ve found a signature which is not annoying in any way and which make my thoughts flow through my head without thinking that something is wrong with what I hear. They are really that good. Of course I haven’t heard the QC Ultra - maybe I’ll try them someday but in terms of sound right from the box… I would place DALIs higher. But that’s only me. Thanks for the review - I really appreciate that You didn’t gave up on searching for these!
Hmmm…..🤔 I think that sonically, the new AKG N9 Hybrid might be more to your taste. I don’t know if it’s ANC is up to snuff but I don’t know that the AKG N400NC earbuds I owned were very neutral sounding but the ANC was weak.
@@BleepBlop-rh9lm thank you for confirming my suspicions. too bad none of the reviews i read mentioned that before i bought them a few years ago, albeit for just $100. basically i use them just to cut out noise (and it doesn't do the greatest job in the high range) when listening to spoken word. simply can't listen to music with them.

To me, If I have no choice, I would take IEMs Instead of ANC headphones for travel. The BT ANC technology is still far from wired right now. I would sacrifice a little noise for better sound quality. I would take focal Azurys and u12t for travel.
@@attilab.2818I mean all reviews should be taken with grain of salt since there are so many things to cause variations in experience and even with measurements and even when the reviewer is being honest there’re so many things that can affect their opinions that can be different from someone else, they do put efforts and committed to what they are doing, personally I don’t wanna discredit them even though my experience is really different from theirs
Yeah, but I think for the money, I'd rather have the Bose for the convenience, and for traveling, and use the extra cash for a good wired pair for home use (HD 600, Edition XS, etc) If price wasn't a factor, maybe the Dali is better than the Bose, but for the price I feel it's lacking in a few too many areas than something like the Bose or Momentum 4.
Sigh. The sliding scale for anc headphones quality continues. Now it seams like diminishing returns at that $1000+ price. Not enough ranting about the AirPods Max having no mids. Yet I think the AirPods Max still have quality over others around the sliding scale of quality of anc headphones. But I can’t get over the touch controls for the Bose ultra. Physical tactile buttons and nobs is the way I go.
I have to disagree. I don’t think a great sound signature is possible with ANC. It is inherently phase and phase ruins audio. Remembering EQ is also technically phase, that’s a lot of inaccuracy trying to be good audio.
I prefer wired headphones, but for me, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 and the Sennheiser Momentum 3 are my favorite anc wireless headphones. The noise canceling is not as strong as the class leaders, but that’s OK, the class leaders have too much NC.
@@KingUltraMayne the only issue I have had is that sometimes they stay connected, even after I put them back in the case, but I haven’t noticed that issue lately
Take price away. It’s bollocks. Everyone has different view on what is ‘value’. I’ve a £200 beanie. Is it value? Of course not. The H100’s are outstanding
So the conclusion is, buy the crap Bose QuiteComfort Ultras...😂 Anyone who buys these instead, is an idiot. You've stolen 22 minutes and 44 seconds from my life.
I want the hifiman 'unveiled' technology in a noise cancelling headphone. Basically an open back wireless headphone with caps you can put on the drivers and DSP to change the tuning for both modes
I have to take these rankings with a grain of salt and perhaps a dash of pepper. Mind you, I understand the results are backed by measurements and such. However, generic measurements don't necessarily account for the variations in how people hear and interpret sounds. That's part of why there are so many different preferences when it comes to headphones of any type.
I bet when you’re used to listening to high-end open back headphones, your ears need to acclimate to closed back Bluetooth headphones and you have to adjust your expectations that they’re not going to sound like a wired open back
Beautiful thing about reviews. It's one person's opinion. Take it for what it's worth, I totally disagree. And with individuals such as himself who make verbatim comments as if he's an expert, he's only an expert of his own opinion. Just like any of us. Let's face facts. You've put Bose ahead of this in sound quality. Already lost any credibility
B&O have always been more about design than performance. For decades they used mostly Philips components in their hi-fi's. Looked outstanding, sounded actually for the money rather poor.
@soraflame66 not really. I also had his favourite QC Ultra which is absolutely horrible and went back, all 7 pairs I had. I still have a Momentum 4 and a Px8, they're nice but soundwise not even comparable with the H100. I didn't need to buy it because I've got other headphones like I mentioned but still bought and didn't regret the purchase. My return window is still open but there is absolutely no reason to do it.

Go back a month to Resolve's Noise Cancelling Headphone Tier List 2024 Edition video. A huge number of people in the comments including myself asked about the P100 and he answered at least one person that he'd heard them and really didn't like them.
@@TheRealPotoroo he put P100 on a tier or didn’t even talked about like the rest of them? only Flossy review them and he like them because the bass which have Super Bass you know what i mean
FINALLY!!! A real review for these headphones! I was always sceptical about these, so it's nice to finally get a definitive review for these products.
@@Benzo97 best to listen for yourself. I think the Dali are kind of special as far as BT headphones go.
@zdzisawduzy5935 Yeah, of the three shown in this video, the Dali is the one I'd go for. It's the B&O I had the most doubts with.
A fake review.
Please review the Sony Ult Wear
I like that after this long journey the conclusion is "just buy bose lol" and that conclusion is shared by like 95 percent of the casual consumers and the wider tech review channels/publications :D
That image of the cat in the poster is from like +20 years ago. I remember that (I'm old).
Please, make a beyerdynamic amiron 300 earbuds review😊
Let's just hope Audeze adds ANC to the Maxwell 2
Now thats interesting. I own the dalis and was thinking of h100s
B&O H100 VS SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 4 HEADPHONE ?
I have both what do you want to know...The Momentum 4 iarz a very good sounding headphones with nice features. I prefer the H100 built quality and features but the M4 is more comfortable.
Is it worth it to upgrade to H100 basically for only sound quality?
@@saurabhgarg9072For sound quality alone? Hell no :)
But i am still waiting for 2025 H100 updates with ldac and 3 devices multipoint connectivity...as well as other fine tuning
Not even comparable. I have both. The Momentum 4 sounds good, until you listen the H100s. The same goes for Px8 too.
To me, If I have no choice, I would take IEMs Instead of ANC headphones for travel. The BT ANC technology is still far from wired right now. I would sacrifice a little noise for better sound quality. I would take focal Azurys and u12t for travel.
I love my h95. H100 can't be worse.
No, this review is a bloody joke. The H100s is one of the best and I've had all the latest, Bose, Sony, Sennheiser, Mark Levinson, B&W flagships.
@@attilab.2818 I don't doubt that. I'll buy it whenever it's available.
Bose qc ultra over the dali because of some app??? Let's not forget what headphones are for. To sound good, dali sounds better then Bose qc for sure.
I feel like wireless headphones is extremely promising if taken seriously, but few actually try
Resolve: "What do you actually get when you spend this kind of money?"
Answer: A placebo effect 😂
I got my H95 for free. It's an amazing headphone. I don't know if his unit is broken or something. Or maybe H100 is just worse.
Noble focus Apollo is pretty good
I agree, we should not accept mediocrity especially with DSP headphones at this price range.
Coffee.
I agree. Though for me, latte. Vanilla.
I use 13 headband notches with my HD 600. Am I an alien?
Auto dubbing is enabled in the video.
So these headphones sound quality are mediocre😮. Looks like 10$ headphones are better than these. Reviewer were wrong with Dali Io 12 😢.
They definitely are not :)
@ I know. It was just an irony
@justperson3542 hard to say sometimes on the Internet ;)
It's not mediocre. They are actually amazing.
M4 FTW.
I would have gotten to the Momentum 4's if not for the inherent connection issues they have.
@@KingUltraMayne the only issue I have had is that sometimes they stay connected, even after I put them back in the case, but I haven’t noticed that issue lately
Not bad but the H100 blows them out of the water.
@@KingUltraMayne What "inherent connection issues"? The firmware's been well and truly fixed for ages.
what a random prices. only insane person gonna spend that kind of money on anc-notsogoodsounding headphones
Ah ah ah. What headphones would you get then?
Send me to the Arkham then....come on, what are you waiting for?
Take price away. It’s bollocks. Everyone has different view on what is ‘value’. I’ve a £200 beanie. Is it value? Of course not. The H100’s are outstanding
So the conclusion is, buy the crap Bose QuiteComfort Ultras...😂 Anyone who buys these instead, is an idiot.
You've stolen 22 minutes and 44 seconds from my life.
In Europe IO 12 is only like 100 euro more than Bathys
Edifier S3 and S5 people😉
I want the hifiman 'unveiled' technology in a noise cancelling headphone. Basically an open back wireless headphone with caps you can put on the drivers and DSP to change the tuning for both modes
The background music made me stop watching the video halfway through, it's sooo loud :(
I have to take these rankings with a grain of salt and perhaps a dash of pepper.
Mind you, I understand the results are backed by measurements and such. However, generic measurements don't necessarily account for the variations in how people hear and interpret sounds. That's part of why there are so many different preferences when it comes to headphones of any type.
Watch the video again.
@Shenkle-qx5bu No thanks.
No is the answer
Completely overpriced, if Anker released these headphones you would pay 500 euros, with Bang Olufsen you only pay for the name
I bet when you’re used to listening to high-end open back headphones, your ears need to acclimate to closed back Bluetooth headphones and you have to adjust your expectations that they’re not going to sound like a wired open back
helo
$1500 for a Bluetooth noise canceling headphone? lol
Yes. I wish I could've paid more.
That frequency response Is overcooked. For 1500$ cans, yikes
Already lost any credibility
expected them to be ass... not surprised and very much in the wheelhouse of these "luxury" audio brands especially B&O
The H100 is great. The review isn't.
@attilab.2818 well I've heard almost all B&O stuff, owned the H95... So yeah not really basing off of this video, they're ass
@@KofiBaffour-t8o your opinion is in minority.
B&O have always been more about design than performance. For decades they used mostly Philips components in their hi-fi's. Looked outstanding, sounded actually for the money rather poor.
And then they made such gems as the original H6, so they can if they want.
The more hate I hear, the more I love my H100s.
@attilab.2818 oh i guess we've found your answer. So embarrassing.
Confirmation bias and purchase validation
@soraflame66 not really. I also had his favourite QC Ultra which is absolutely horrible and went back, all 7 pairs I had. I still have a Momentum 4 and a Px8, they're nice but soundwise not even comparable with the H100. I didn't need to buy it because I've got other headphones like I mentioned but still bought and didn't regret the purchase. My return window is still open but there is absolutely no reason to do it.
1500 dollars with a 2 euros driver
Nope.
I hope that ANC reaches the point where it blocks everything and you have headphones with a wide or good soundstage and listen to music like analog., darmi. - purplecore In winter, I was walking at night I will leave this hobby and I am happy
