More vintage Australian Sports Sedan racing. Great stuff! I vaguely remember that Corsair racing from my childhood, so to see it now with Grice at the wheel is an absolute gift, thank you.
Great days, used to go to races often from early 70''s till late 80s, did, done a few laps at club level on the short track, mate and me ran a commodore at the last race meeting held there, now I live in suburb next to oran park, thanks for the video 👍
What a great car. Tony had a terrible crash later that year at Surfers Paradise and the car was destroyed and he was badly injured. A new car was built and he went on to win the 1981 championship.
@@mikenowland2739 ... weren't the Don Elliot owned Alfa's built at K&A Engineering in Adelaide?? They also built (among others) the John Briggs Monza and of course their most famous creation, the Veskanda.
Because, a lot like rock music, authors, poets and artists, we need our heroes, people we look up to and admire based on exceptional talent, skill or achievement. Today in Australian motorsport, the Supercar field is represented by kids straight out of go-carts or Toyota 86 that have no track record. Most have never won a Championship, a round, a race, or had a pole position or even a fastest lap. They turn up, do a season or two, and when daddy runs out of money, they disappear, to be replaced by the next young Neddy Nobody.

The Corvair may have looked like a Chevrolet Corvair, but underneath the body it was all race car. And in Gricey's hands it was a weapon.
These were the big bangs
Awesome stuff ! Any chance of some Group C touring stuff from the 70's ?
4:20 computer says “no” 😜
Now how about the 2s please!
This is great . Why is Australian motor racing now so weak to look at ?
