that trick thing actually makes perfect sense because they would be looking for themselves not relying on yourself. My instructor dose it all the time and it works so well.

Learn a lot from your videos. Very helpful as always. Just a little unnecessary request lol. For the Advisory texts, can you make them into a different colour. Because I sometimes mistake them as faults, because they're the same colour for faults. But really enjoyed the video overall. Thank you so much.

Oh wow I didn't even know Adrian lived not far from feltham, where I grew up and lived for 11 or so yrs, also I like his tiktoks they are as funny as he is as a person.
He drove through so many places that I drove through like Chertsey Road near Bedfont, kings head near Ashford by that roundabout.
Giving me a little nostalgia trip there. Lol.

I could see Pin giving serious faults for lane discipline at that roundabout and observations on the manoeuvre. He can be pretty harsh at times.

Hey yes with that roundabout he did get into the wrong lane but he was safe about what he did and didn’t affect the vehicle behind so it’s not a fault
But with the manoeuvre he needed to be looking around more.
There’s a reversing camera present, that’s what makes people a little lazy with blindspot checks

I thought you were teaching him manual transmission! Adrian, young person Both Hands on the wheel, if you go over a pothole, grid or something left in the road it will take the wheel out of your hand and you could easily have a bump and damage that nice car.
It’s electric power steering, that jolt is much less likely to happen

7:42 Signs indicate the start of the new speed limit, increasing speed when you see the sign, rather than pass it, will exceed the speed limit of the "zone" you're in. Not okay if you're intending to stay within the legal bounds of the law.

Can I ask. What is the rule with handbrake and waiting? In manual I have always when a pause becomes a wait, put on the handbrake
as long as your car doesn't roll while waiting or trying to move off it doesn't matter if you use the footbrake or handbrake. (Rolling briefly is okay) as long as no ones super close
Get a car with an automatic handbrake like me ;)

It is difficult to understand why he tries to count five exits as he goes round a big roundabout. The initial route sign showing the roundabout 9:18 had the fifth exit marked A316. All he needs do is say to examiner A316? Examiner will say "yes". When he gets to 10:42 he does not need to change lanes. His lane divides and he simply needts to follow the left hand separation. It is difficult to see designation number as traffic is hiding it. However it is possible to see that you are not crossing lane markings following either side at the separation. An experienced driver should know that an "A" class road with a flyover will likely have at least two joining lanes. It does not look like he wanted the A308 at all.

@@M4X1 Nobody asked for it. These are learning videos and most people viewing have no idea what they need to know and therefore do not ask for relevant information about what to do to make things easy to accomplish.
I managed to pass my test and I had no idea what a spiral roundabout was or how to use roundabouts with more than two lanes. The instructor only taught me how to be test ready for the centre near me.
It’s important people know what you’ve mentioned. Even if it sounds obvious. This is probably why he doesn’t know. Nobody told him! It sounds silly but it’s very common.

On my mock test a week before my actual test I got 8 minors and 1 serious. I pass with 3 minors .
Appropriate speed - doing 55 in 70 (was raining 5 mins earlier so got comfortable with 55)
undue hesitation (easier to take a minor than a major if I’m unsure)
Pedestrian crossing (light turned amber as I went through. I didn’t do anything illegal but I should have notice the button being pressed and acknowledged the pedestrian)
The driving test was WAY easier than I though and anyone with a bit of experience and confidence should pass it with flying colours. It jsut takes time and I wish you all goodluck

Driving auto is sound especially in this day and age, only need for it now is maybe to drive company cars or to drive a car class that’s only manual but other than that auto is the way to go. Plus electric cars are obviously automatic which is what will be the standard soon enough, less hassle for the same outcome. For example everyone that has passed the manual test in my family just drive auto now anyways as it’s easier and low stress. (Also another reason to drive auto is because it’s impossible to get any manual lessons for over a year now😂)

Yes my driving instructor says the same and he also tells me off for indicating when moving off of there is no one around. I have the same point of view as Aman in that regard but she shouldn't have faulted him for doing that

It doesn’t actually say in the book that because of street lights it mean it’s a 30mph. The way I identify it’s a 30 is if there’s no other speed limit
actually thats not true, if you get the big blue book with the end of topic tests it states that to show you're in a 30 zone that street lights will be close together and its a residential street.

25:32 It is amazing how much steering is required to reverse in a straight line in comparison to when you drive forwards.
It's not really that much needed, he was overcorrecting multiple times, could have easier done it much smoother and straighter with smaller more accurate adjustments.
@@AKAMustang I was joking. If you stop with the car straight in the road several inches away from the kerb but parallel to it and your wheels straight when you reverse absolutely no steering adjustment is needed.

Talking about standards here…I don’t like the one hand on the steering wheel! Since when does anyone accept that!? Plus the dangling thing from the rear view mirror - not permitted by Highway Code.
Also, don’t know when the rule came in that you can’t wear sunglasses? Being dazzled by bright light is an issue.
His hand comes right over the steering wheel to turn the car in the first clip. None of my instructors would be happy with that
You will not get marked down for steering with one hand as long as you have full control and you are comfortable with this position, but for new drivers it's always advised to use both hands on the steering wheel

I've been driving for 20 years and I still don't understand MSM.
Why would you check your mirrors first?
I mean... if I need to turn left, I must signal left regardless of what's happening behind me.
Regardless of what's happening behind me, there is no scenario that can result in me not signaling.
Plus, MSM forces you to check your mirrors a second time, doesn't it?
Check mirror, signal, then check mirror again to see how people behind are reacting to your signal.
Why is it MSM? Why isn't it SMM?

Hey when it comes to MSM
You should always check mirrors before signalling or been before moving your position as it’s very easy miss a motorbike or cyclist that could be close by
Especially when driving in the city at lower speeds as cyclist will catch up and creep through the smallest of spaces
So that’s why you want to check mirrors and signal and not the other way around
These are tips for new drivers so they don’t miss anyone around them. A lot of experienced drivers don’t use mirrors before signalling but are generally aware of their surroundings or they check just before they turn

A good example, is a mirror check may help you decide to delay your signal just a fraction for someone who is just about to pass you on a multilane road (where you are about move lanes), to avoid them reacting, thinking your about to move immediately.
Well you live and learn. In feeder lanes, those left/right only, I didn't think you had to indicate (and generally haven't), on those either. And i've been driving about 30yrs... sorry pedestrians.

When he came in the roundabout for the fifth exit and changed lanes during a spiral, it is a serious fault, the best he could do is to follow the lane he chose and re direction again as it's not a driving fault. I don't know why you didn't marked it?
He was in the wrong lane but dealt with it safely. You can change lanes
He used his mirrors indicated and made sure it was safe

Most new drivers tend to move off slower and wouldn’t be able to change lanes so it’s better to just go round
