Been following Davids channel for many years - and never knew most of the stuff you guys covered in this interview. Absolutely fascinating! And what production values! Multi cameras, professional lighting, slick editing - far and away above and beyond most fan produced pieces and videos. Every bit as well produced as any random 60 minutes/ 20/20 sitdown. Sensational job!
I finally found a moment to sit down with this. What a lovely interview, Luke. There's so much terrific specificity in this. There is so much that I identify with here in the memories shared by David.
Absolute blast of an interview! Hell, less of an interview and more of two friends just having a pleasant conversation…just like Gatherall. The sheer genuineness of both of you as people shines through. As someone who spent a life’s work in a profession where almost everyone (even the good ones sometimes) lie or front to you face, for a while I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and see the real personas…but after hundreds of hours of watching your videos and reading faces and the wonderful personal interactions at two Gatheralls I can’t say enough about the friendships and brother and sisterhood I’ve made with this community. I feel I could call anyone anywhere anytime to help me or a family member in need. You can’t put a price on that. Keep up the awesome work, gentlemen!
David is like the Professor X of the Bond community. He’s been great at finding gifted young Bondsters to follow his Bond Experience. Bringing forth their inner Bond to flourish in the fashion of NPeal, Olebar Brown and Omega watches. Taking them to new heights in the world of Aston Martin and Piz Gloria. And bringing them back to earth for Vodka Martinis 🍸 at the private beach 🏝️ bar at Goldeneye. It really is an educational experience for everyone who wants to be a better version of themselves.
This was awesome. I enjoy the content the two of you produce and getting to interact with both you and David online. It’s really cool to hear some of David’s story in this format. I love the videos and podcasts you both produce, but this is a more intimate look at who David is. I look forward to the day I can meet you both, shake your hands, share a drink and “bond” over our shared interests. Great work Luke!
THIS was the best video ever. You guys nailed it. even knowing much of the topics in forhand, it was the style and the proffesionel set up that made this VERY watchebell. I just saw a new thing that could be a thing on the channel. Well done both of you.
Bonjour, Luke and David, Enjoyable clarity, and terrific on specifics - what is not to like? As a "Bond girl" and reporter/interviewer, I valued the centered directness of the questions and the responses - natural, unforced and with a lively rhythmic flow. Illuminating and fun, all in one. Worth it for your production style/values, as well. Appreciatively, Kira C.
Hell of an interview! The quality is top notch! Always loved The Bond Experience, similar to you Luke, I was flabbergasted the first time I saw someone as crazy as I for James Bond when I saw my first Bond Experience video. Cheers and thank for the great interview. (P.S. Still waiting for the other James Bond drinks videos 😂)
Excellent interview and you're very lucky to have him as a mentor. The mentor relationship is extremely important and something to cherish. I had it with my Sifu and I'm a different and better person for it.
David is definitely wearing his 60th Anniversary Bond Omega Seamaster Professional 300m (42mm) that came out a year or two ago. Luke looks to be wearing his Skyfall (Pre-title sequence) Omega Planet Ocean (42mm).
I really enjoyed this interview. Well done Luke. It was nice to see David "unplugged," so to speak. I'd really like to attend Gatherall next year. I don't have any friends who are into Bond like I am so I'd be going alone and that has deterred me from going the last two years. But it sounds like that's not a problem.
@@williamcoolidge9884 Hey William. Thanks for watching. I met several people at Gatherall this year that came alone. They always leave with many new friends!
I discovered your Channel because of Mr Z and this interview is brilliant! 🔥. I feel like understand you both and particularly what David was saying about wanting to own what you see on the screen. Somehow it makes you feel part of it and like you somehow own a slice of the action 🤩 . Also having long suffering wife that has to put up with my various objet d’art 😂. I too would spend long hours amusing myself building polystyrene sets, I one made a Tim Burton Batman bat cave etc. it’s also interesting that you both love Star Wars and how that hero’s journey is all part of it. So much more I could say but the whole thing was fab chaps. Both keep up the good work 👌 👍
You Only Live Twice was the first 007 movie I saw in the theater. My neighbor used to fill his station wagon up with us kids and take us to the Bucks County drive-in. I should feel old, but not yet.
Great interview. I sort of feel like I have a parasocial “relationship “ with you guys…. And that sounds really weird. But, you look like guys it’d be fun to hang out with , drinking an adult beverage, and chatting about bond minutae.
Daniel Craig Is my favorite James Bond, but have you seen him lately, stringy, long hair, not clean shaven, he used to look so nice, well dressed, I know he wants to get away from James Bond but this isn't his look!!

Love the interview. Two classy guys. I really appreciate David and you continuing to bring Bond topics. It was nice to personally know David.
Loved this video with two wonderful people from our Bond community. 👏👏👏
Really enjoyable - thanks gents for producing that, Neil

Dude looks great at 56
Should have asked him about his wacky brother Joel who dresses up in a Batman outfit!
Similar childhood! I even scripted my play/make believe -s-.
Scenarios.
Sun goggles didn't help your Craig like image...but you're so entertaining!
My office is at home so I can wear or not almost anything lol
Famous Monsters and Starlog.
Kinda like Uncle 4E's Ackermansion.
Daves collection is his pension. Retire already!
Earn the dirty underside of this unsavory character.....

Let’s hope David doesn’t go to his barbers and say can I have the latest Daniel look please !
I believe it’s for the new knives out movie that’s being filmed. Don’t quote me on it though.
Like Ghost Boy said, Daniel looks that way for Knives Out 3. I’m not sure why the character changed his look, but he did 🤷🏻♂️
Gatekeeping what DC is allowed to wear and how he styles himself is CREEPY. Even for this hobby of adults cosplaying as James Bond.
