I have the exact same electric scissors. I bought them from Amazon a while ago. I agree they are not good for fine fabric but whenever I'm cutting heavy weight or denim they are absolutely the perfect tool. I don't use them to cut around patterns. I lay my pattern on the fabric and Trace around the pattern. We move the pattern and then cut out along my drawn lines.
