For those who think the guy should be more rude and angry to the person who approached him for sex, you don't know who he is, and the situation. First of all, many Malays are taught to always respect others; be polite, especially to a stranger and foreigner. You'll never know that there's miscommunication going on. Second, when you're in a foreign country, you should respect the locals - you are their guest. Third, you'll never know if a person is a psycho and might do something crazy to you, if not there and then, he might do it later more vengefully. Being polite doesn't hurt. The Malays have a saying: The saying "Terlajak perahu boleh diundur; terlajak kata buruk padahnya" translates to: "If a boat goes too far, it can be reversed; if words go too far, the consequences are horrible." An English equivalent might be: "Think before you speak." It's a reminder that once words are spoken, they can't be taken back, and the repercussions can be significant. Words can have a lasting impact that can't be undone with ease. Please change the thumbnail because it can lead to misunderstanding.

Exactly! My mother use to say when your hand is in the lion's mouth, you have to take your time to take it out. You have no idea who that man is. If he's a person of influence then he has the power. If he were to be publicly humiliated by this young man, he could turn around and accuse him of the crime and who would the authorities believe, the foreigner with the baby face, or the local with money and power? I know first hand what happens when you turn somebody like that down and their egos are bruised because they're use to getting their way. Even when you are polite, they will still try to find ways to exact revenge on you. This is a very dangerous situation and I'm sure the reason why he's so bold is because he's use to getting his way, especially to foreigners who are powerless and vulnerable. Wake up people. this is the real World. It's not just women who aren't safe.

Completely alienating women from the society causes this, look at the afghans & pakistani pashtuns. They have a disease of bachabazi which is very well documented & it incurs bc they take women completely out of the picture. Even if one goes to formally ask for a woman's hand in marriage from the father, the man feels a huge stain occurring in his honor. Saying how dare you ask for such a thing, even though it is the best way according to Islam. And you don't see women at work places quite often in such countries compared with Iran,Syria,Palestine,Jordan which maintain a decent balance.

This reminds me of my own unfortunate experience in Mecca. I'm a guy, and I went to Mecca for Umrah back in 2020. And while I wouldn't call myself exactly conventionally attractive, I was still underage by this point and had 0 facial hair.
On our second day my father and I went out to buy food for dinner. We ordered and my father left me for a few minutes because he forgot his wallet in our room. The pickup line was PACKED, and me already being very hungry by that point just stayed at the front of the pickup desk and waited. Not soon after, I could swear I could feel someone's hand deliberately rubbing against me. But since the line was so crowded I kept trying to tell myself it was unintentional and just stood there in shock. It kept going for a few solid minutes so I built up the courage to suck it up, turn around and just GET OUT.
On my way out I saw this very big arab guy-way bigger than me-with shades hold his hand up and back away, like he was caught doing some crime. I tried not to acknowledge him or what happened and just sat back at my table, my spatial awareness through the roof by this point. I kept waiting there for my dad while keeping an eye on the guy, and what really sealed the deal for me was when I him slowly leave the line of people and just stood around.
He didn't order anything, he intentionally targeted me and after being found out, just left. The idea of what couldve happened had I not walked out of that line still scares me to this day.
I did tell my family about it, hesitantly, but I did. Though I also informed them that the guy was long gone by that point.

Ali, this brother's name is Ziddin Aziz and he has quite the social media presence amongst Malaysians. I myself follow him for 2 reasons.
    1) His deep *knowledge in linguistics especially Malay language* .Where he educates people about the intricacies and the fine / proper way of speaking our mother tongue.
    2) The very soft and respectful way of him engaging in discourse in social issues that (to my view) follows the Sunnah and people rarely shows especially when making contents.

This is nothing new. My ex husband told me that when he went to perform hajj with his parents a long time ago at the age of 18, an Arab man would follow him around in Masjidil Haram wanting to have sex with him. Mind you, at that time the Masjid was not as big as now n therw were not as many pilgrims as today n my ex hubby is a very good looking guy, tall, athletic slender n handsome with beautiful light brown eyes, a mole near his upper lips, straight nose, and long hair which touches his shoulder... And we r Malaysians too...As for me, one time, right after i had finished my umrah n was feeling so exhausted, i was walking from the tawaf area into the masjid. Suddenly a man rushed to me n grabbed my breast n hurriedlywalked away. I was so shocked that i turned around, beat his arm with my fist while shouting he touched me, he touched me several times. Then a big Arab guy (i think he was a pilgrim police, he was not in a uniform) said i know n ran after him. And i dont know whether he was caught or not. I was on my own at that time. My husband was not with me. I still remember the guys very ugly face n he had crossed eyes. At another time, a shopkeeper ran his fingers on my buttock while i was choosing a scarf. This become a police case coz my ex hubby went to punch him . We had to go to the police station n the guy was deported back to his home coyntry. I was at times had the same issue when i was buying an abaya or when i sent my clothes to the laundry. The men would take the opportunity to "accidentaly" run their hands on my body or touched my hand. Those times, i woyld just keep quiet coz i was really embarassed. In a nutshell, u have to be careful wherever u r. People in a holy place does not automatically make them saints. By the way, people might question how come i had many bad experiences in Makkah.. this is because Alhamdulillah i am fortunate to be able to go there more than 10 times so far Alhamdulillah.
