@Beggar42 the 3rd field regiment royal artillery he uses in the first battle armed with the abbots should be called 3rd regiment royal horse artillery. They were based in paderborn during this point in time
You're not, AI is definitely much better than in SD2 or WG:RD, not to say it doesn't do dumb things, it does but it can also be surprisingly cunning, especially in terms of flanking attacks, ATGM walls and AT ambushes and using arty and air. If you let them do that AI arty will absolutely bully your frontline units, although simple solution is to start counter-battery fire - even if you won't have enough firepower to silence their guns, they will start targeting your arty instead of your frontlines.
It's really fun that every NATO nation's battalion has their own characteristics. US Armor -Strong M1A1s, lack of infantry scouts. US Armor Cavarly -Has everything includung artillery -Enough Armor and lots of Bradleys Us Inf - Inf is little weak, but has lots of Dragons - If Transport is Bradley, really deadly. UK armor - Challenger is Jack of Trade - However has 9 strykers! UK Rec - Many Many Strykers can be deadly and fun. Uk inf - Has lots of milan vehicles. - Inf+Warrior IFV is not that bad. W.GER Panzer - Leo2 is good but quantity is not enough.... Losing Leo2 is sooo painful. W.GER Panzergrenediers -Many many Milans. Good for ambush from long range. -however panzergrenadiet is not good enough...(only 5 men!) W.Ger Jaeger -Jaeger is better than Pz.Grenadiers for inf fight - Sadly no IFV Belgian Units - Super Bazooka. Quantity should be answer. - IFVs can be fun tool.
Belgian units tend to also have a lot of decent recon units and decent ATGM capabilities. West Germans (apart from dedicated recon battalions) on the other hand tend to lack in recon department.
@@argentum1655 Yes that makes Belgian Inf battalion good for artillery corrected shot. It looks like Army General depicted NATO Infantry ATGM quality/quantity superiority really well and fun.
Looks a lot tougher fighting as these guys. With the Yanks, you just roll in the Abrams, give them the occasional air support, & progressively murder everything. These units are much more touch & go as to which side will get the upper hand. That said, they're also brand new, without the benefit of veterancy. Also, this was a difficult map for these forces. They clearly did their job, but I look forward to seeing them under better circumstances! So on to the next video 😂
Good luck Vulcan, I finished this as Soviets recently so i can atest how strong they are in this campagin, just don't get encirciled in the middle from their reinforcements and I'm sure you'll manage well :)

@@ivvan497 "Might be"? It is. The AI pronounces foreign unit names wrong, wrong in the sense that it reads it all as English (not always, but on other campaigns it's worst). Also the robotic, always same tone and intonation is a dead giveaway.
Nope, units are engaged in a fast action (each turn is 4 hours) and in some campaign (This one and Highway 66) you have units that already been in contact and thus suffered losses before the start. So, in short, no, you need to manage the risk/reward of each battle.
Is it not possible to go back and reselect what battalions are engaging when you failed the interception? Or is that option only available when you’re the one getting intercepted?
At minute 1.30 you can see Duisburg. Just have to mention that because I live in Duisburg and the mentioning makes me happy

Lol the Belgian units are still called 'Ruiters te Paard', which translate to riders on horseback
Light cavalry..
And cavalry still pretty much translates to "horsery", so you know... it fits.
IIRC, the UK had the RHA deployed to West Germany in the late 80s ... RHA stands for Royal Horse Artillery.

Nice to see that this battle was somewhat challenging.

Damn, I must've missed them introducing Army General to Warno. Only now will I consider buying it since it's basically the only reason why I play SD2.
Do hope you play airborne assault in nato side in the future
your AI is more cheeky than my AI
The AI in the first battle was WAY too good
Hi vulcan, quick question. How do you rotate/change facing on vehicles? i am new to Warno and i just cant figure it out... Great video by the way!
Why does the British general look like Pierce Brosnan?
And sound like King Charles
