    Thanks for the video. The 2 stroke Allen Scythe a friend of my parents had in the 60s had a crude Governor that worked by cutting out the ignition spark !
    So if you left the throttle too far open it wasted a lot of fuel which i think you are aware of. Unbelieveably crude way to govern an engines speed. I don't know if later 2 stroke models had a more sophisticated Governor that worked on the throttle.
    When I asked a `grown up' (I was only about 10) why increasing the throttle didn't increase the engine's speed he gave me a bs answer `it's the way the engine is tuned' because he didn't know 😂😂

      Thats how the governor on my machine is, its a small weight and spring on the flywheel and is adjustable, its crude but works! it runs erratic if given full throttle, so its best to set the revs for what its cutting.
