My friend once asked if she could audition to become a trainee and mentioned if she became one that she would have to go to South Korea. ( We planned to audition together, But I ended up not allowed to audition.) Her sister just laughed as well.
Well this girl she just went to a program not a real “I’m going to be a kpop idol” you can watch henry prince mak one of his videos talk about dark side of kpop your dad just don’t want you to suffer that much 😉
I can audition b/c: • I'm Korean • I can sing • I can rap • I can dance • I got confidence Reasons I can't audition: • My visuals are moderate • My mom is messed up.
Well child I’ve got news for you! When people audition/get scouted the managers don’t pay attention to your bad skin, they concentrate on your facial structure. So basically you could have the worst skin in the world and it wouldn’t matter bc they can fix it in Korea!! GL on you audition!!!
Taegi Min adding on to Taegi Min, if you do plan to audition and get selected as a trainee, then good news! korea is notorious for having so many skin care products! your skin will clear up in no time if you use them :)
You dont have to be Korean to be a kpop idol😂 like there are so many "Asians" like for example twice they aren't all korean there is 3 Japanese and 1 Taiwanese
Honestly if a Korean entertainment company came to where I live for auditions which is not far from a big city, I would just audition for fun. It would be fun to be a trainee but I know the standards, expectations, and the dedication you need and it's hard to debut so I wont risk that
@@LIGHT-tq5un idk. I just think it would be fun experiencing an audition. It would also help me be less nervous about other auditions that aren't kpop related
Same. I got to audition for SM twice (2017 and 2018) when they came to Argentina. First time was nerve wrecking for me, but second time I felt I did sooo much better even though I didn't got emailed back. Like, the second time I auditioned my confidence just skyrocketed and I felt incredibly amazing at a personal level. I now believe in my potential and I'm ready for more future auditions 💕🙌
Ye I smh would like to experience the trainee life just to get better in dancing because I love dancing but I don’t have the chance to train as hard as a trainee I really would like a dancing camp or so to get the experience
Other people’s parents: laugh because their child said they wanted to be in a kpop group My parents: *wants me to be in a kpop group* My mom always asks me if I want to get a dance teacher but I always say no Because I want to be an actress

hey you dont have to be a foreigner or asian to be an idol, you are not ugly, you are perfect just the way you are BTS tought us how to love ourselves if you have the confidence to audition, go audition and reach your dreams. hope this helps
TaeTae KookieChu why would u? What u gonna do once u reach 35 when all the new faces enter? U cant even enter a shop without thousands of ppl crowding their phones around u just to take photos. Everything u do is scrutinised, rumors can spread overnight, and may even be things u never done. U cant date because youll get hatred from ppl. You have to get up and perform even if you dont feel like at that time, you gotta put on a smile for fans even if youre crying inside. You will detach from your true identity, your relationships will suffer. Theres a reason why kpop idols are prone to depression, because they have no one to speak to. Are you sure you want this life?

Me: mom, I am going to audition online. If I pass can I go to Korea? Mom: ya sure. Me: So can I apply for passport?! Mom:ya why not? Her inner thoughts: *it's not like they are going to select you, keep on dreaming* 😂😂 Edit: God!!!! Thank you all for so many likes and for all the motivation. Why do you think soo................. I am only 13 I can't go to Korea ..... So me and my another friends said that don't leave it in we 3 only 1 family member will go with us...... So now we are going to do online auditions.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I’m 18 and for some reason I have this random impulse to audition after watching so many kpop videos. Haha but I have no background in dancing or stage performing so probably never gonna pursue this. But your story was really interesting to hear.
Haha thanks for the feedback!! You should try global auditioning if it really interests you, its definitely a fun experience even if you don't want to become a kpop trainee
Omg really? I bet your really talented but you don't think you are. You can always practice I also wanna be an idol too haha!!! I will audition next year so good luck!!!!
I'm turning 18 soon and I'm planning to audition as well. And same situation as you with no background haha. You might want to audition quickly tho since companies will be more willing to take you while you're young. who knows? maybe you'll get in
Miss you can be anything you want and I'm sure they can have an exception since you have children go for your dreams don't let anything stop you miss Sorry if I sounded disrespectful I tried to be as polite and respectful I'm 12 and I wanna audition aswell soo good luck even if you don't do it still live life to the fullest and be happy
@@sei-tn3zn lol i wouldnt say im bad at singing but im good at dancing for me its easy i learnt dynamite in a few minutes but u can practice to kinda better ur skills .what company do u want to audition for?
This sounds so much fun! Even though the kpop industry is harsh on females, just going to an academy sounds so cool! Once you're able to learn this stuff, you can even emerge as an independent artist through social media. So this sounds really benifitting
not to crush anyone's dreams but reminder if ur NOT Asian or at least HALF the chances you're getting in are slim to none; it's just a fact & no there won't be a "well maybe I'll be an exception" because there's plenty of talented people who, if were an exception would probably have been debuted already or casted. Even half-asian people rarely appear (I can think of only 3 out of the at least 100 I know) and it's simply because Kpop has a visual aspect to it; it's not just singing & dancing. There's singing and dancing for sure, but they also consider personality, confidence/charisma and of course visuals. No not everyone is a "perfect symmetrical omg god/goddess level" visual in Kpop, but if you don't at least think you're comparable to an idols level, then chances are lowered. Of course it could be a self confidence thing and you are idol level visual, but again that means you won't qualify for the confidence portion. Now I'm not saying "don't bother auditioning/trying im negative nancy" by all means I encourage you guys to pick up singing and dancing they're great hobbies! But don't live an unhealthy life style and tell yourself "oh nothing but the idol life is right for me". Give the experience a go, have fun and have some expectations for sure; but don't have unhealthy/unrealistic ones and be devastated or something.
kry the most successful people in the world push the boundaries of what is current , every thought the earth was flat until someone started asking questions and pushed ahead of every one else people who have “realistic” expectations are boring , no hate by the way I understand your point but it depends on how far you are willing to go
I’m Mexican my parents are Mexican my whole family is Mexican yet I look Asian. When I go out no lie I have people asking me if I’m Asian and I’m like ummm no 💀🤦🏻♀️ even my friends call me Asian my one of my friends call me chinita love that 👏🏼 so now when people ask if I’m Asian I just say yes and that I’m adopted that’s my life now 🙂😪
@@cynthiacardoso9592 I get the same thing but I'm black. Some people at my school even thought I was blasian but I always told them no and one time the students that listened to kpop always said I looked like yoongi from BTS. I was even scouted at the airport but the lady who was scouting saw me in a boot and walked off (Edit) and I wanna become a kpop idol. I've already auditioned to various companies but I know I might not make it because if my race but who knows. If you wanna become a kpop idol go for it, don't let ANYONE tell you no. It's like saying only asians can be kpop idols. If girls can do anything boys can do and boys can do anything girls can do. Then other races can do what ever any other race can do. Don't let people judge you because of your race or skin color. For those of you guys who wanna become a kpop idol and aren't Korean, if you make it I'm ur number one fan already. If anyone dares to tell you that you don't belong in the industry don't let them talk you down because of who you are let them know who's boss.😊
@@JulisaM They never said that it was impossible, it's just unlikely. People can dream and want something, but they should keep realistic expectations.
this is what I think companies are looking for in a idol: Looks-65% (I can’t even deny this, especially if you’re looking to enter a well-known company. Some companies like to scout trainees from the streets and transform them into idols. Since the idol already has the looks, it’ll be easier to garner attention from the public when they debut. Dancing and singing abilities can actually be trained so I think in the idol industry looks is definitely important.) Talent-35% (Honestly, for this talent portion to actually count you have to be really really talented than a million others cause like I said above, dance and singing can be nurtured. But if you feel like you’re really talented, go for it!) Besides the point, if you truly want to pursue the dream, go for it! Follow your dreams and never give up! Your effort will pave the way! But while still harbouring the idol dream, remember to keep your feet on the ground and think realistically. The idol dream shouldn’t be your one and only dream and don’t kick yourself about it if you don’t pass auditions. There’s always next time!
with my jennie no problemmm, I don’t think every kpop idol has to be be insanely talented when they get into the company since I’m sure the company will train them afterwards!
I wanna be a kpop idol, but here’s all the problems: - I’m not Asian, I’m a full blooded american - I’m 16 (which is pretty old to start training) - I have no money, no job, and my family’s poor and probably wouldn’t be able to support me in this HOWEVER I still wanna try and if I got the opportunity I would work as hard as possible, and even if I fail it would atleast be an amazing experience and I still have the rest of my life ahead of me. Any advice/insight on my problems would be 10,000%+ appreciated! Thank you
- you dont have to be asian but ur less likely to get in , focus on you’re talent and confidence tho ! - 16 actually isnt old to start training at all , i would say thats like perfect age - (this totally depends on company) but if you pass the global or online audition they will usually fly you out to korea and pay for almost everything , if your company doesnt find a plan b . start saving your money
Since you're not Asian then I would recommend auditioning for JYP since their most likely to take foreigners. The CEO of JYP said, "If there are talented applicants, we are going to train them no matter if they are white or black." Also, I think 16 isn't too old to start training, but it depends on how long you train for. Since you're not Asian it might be harder but know that im rooting for ya! Best of luck!! (Btw you can go to this link to check out all the details aspiringkpoptrainee.blogspot.com/2015/10/proof-that-non-asians-can-become.html )
..hmm i am also 16,..I'm asian ..yes even my parents are poor. We are not affordable .to ..fly Korea...but girl let's keep fighting ......to our dreams ..all the best .if u will participate in future Auditions ...🤗🤗.
Me: mom, dad..... Can I be a kpop idol? Parents: Me: um hello? Parents: but it really tiring. Me: that's my dream! Parents: no matter what I wish you the best my daughter. Me: why did this get so emotional-
I’ve been practicing to be a trainee for the past 3 years now. I’m 14 so I started all fo this stuff when I was 11. I’m average at singing but just not stable I love dancing, it’s my thing lmao. I would say I’m very good at dancing. My visual is pretty good, it’s like the average beauty standards in Korea. Im 92 lbs. I like working out a lot and my weight has been always under 100, it never hit 100 lbs before, so I have a very slim body. I can stand only a meal a day and still have the energy to work hard, but it’s just I need water to help me maintain most of it. I have stage fright but I’m also very confident. Like I can record myself dance and post it but it’s nerve racking whenever a lot of people watches me. I’m thinking to audition for jyp company, so rn I’m working on a dance that I would try to make them shock and impress. I’ve been singing a lot too, my family ears have been tired of it lmao. I’m Vietnamese, I know plenty of languages. Viet & english (obv), Chinese and basic Korean. I’ve been learning korean for the past 2 years now. Do you guys think I’ll make it? I honestly think I’ll have a chance but what I’m afraid is being alone.
Yes I’m pretty sure you’ll make it, also a great app to learn korean is “talk to me in korean”, also I’m also planning on auditioning in JYPE, we can prolly be friends so you won’t be lonely
I’d love to do this camp thingy but I can’t because: -I weight 68 kg and I don’t want to whole world to know lmao -I’m not Asian -I would be so nervous during the audition
-you'll lose a lot of weight if you do this so don't worry - you don't have to be asian but it makes it easier -dont worry about it, what i do before performances backstage I shake my feet and hands one by one untill I'm less nervous and it helps, and I believe in you. They aren't looking for someone perfect they're looking for someone with room for improvement.
Cutie Patootie actually no if ur not asian or korean or japanese or anything thats not related to asian is freakin hard to debut . it probs takes 8-9 years to debut - and if u did not make it they will kick u out after 10 years
well im happy to report ive lost a ton of weight since and i no longer wish to be an idol anymore bc its a horrible industry and i already hate myself. so yee. still love dancing tho.

You shouldn't be paying to become a trainee! The only time you pay is sometimes for your room and other services. Don't go to a company that makes you pay a lot, they usually end up being very bad
I can audition because •I can sing •I can dance •I'm actually pretty Why I cant •I'm not asian 0% •I'm not the asian beauty standard • im black •if I was to become a trainee it would be at a small company and...we all know how it's going to go down

My mom always tells me to audition online but I'm scared because I'm only 13, turning 14, and I'm not a korean. I'm a full time pilipino and we don't really have money to support my daily needs. And my mom is working abroad
so basically every audition tips is where you find many talented people who wants to train in korea but can't support themselves. if you have problems, please never give up you can do this!!! i know it won't help but always remember to have courage in yourself. you're talented, you just don't know which talent it is, don't underestimate yourself❤❤
These past few days i've been thinking really hard if i'm going to audition in sm or jyp because i want to be a kpop idol and the next thing i do is to ask my mom for a permission and she said that " Are you out of your mind? Those idols that have been a trainee before their debut are not a virgin anymore they treated their trainees like an animal and they're harassing them" this is the exact respond that i heard from her and she is so over reacting, i told her that not all the company in korea are bad. And after our argument with my mom she already okay with that but i need to finish my study first. Just wanna share my story lol

@@mariaveralyndevera7824 yes, most of idols (not all) giving up their studies and choose their dream. yes they'll disband, and after that then they'll probably live normal life like other people (they have so many money and start their own business, and ofc it depends if you have plenty of money). and I'm not sure if they'll continue their studies but maybe they're already older if they disband. but again it's up to them if they'll continue their studies

OK so. The only thing you need to do is be better at singing by practicing more. The others the company will take care for you. Korea is known for very good skin care routine thing, so it'll be fine in no time w all those products they will provide for you to make it better. Even if you're fat, while training you will lose all the weight because of the intense training. And if you get in and are going to debut, they'll teach you Korean. So, only thing is your singing ig.

I know you probably won't see this but I have a couple of questions. 1. Do you have to be Asian in order to get into this program (I was born in America and both my parents are from Mexico so I'm not sure if they will let me in) 2. I am 14 and I want to try out this program when I am at least 15, will they let me or is there an age limit?? 3. Do you already have to have a lot of talent when you go in or will they train you from scratch(as in like you have some skills, but not a lot) sorry if these are stupid questions
ahh don't be sorry I'd love to answer these questions 1. No you do not have to be Asian at all, they accept people of all ethnicities 2. There is no age limit! 3. I do have a background of a dancer and I've received vocal training before, but there are people who started from scratch as well

reason why i can be a 'future' trainee 1.i can dance ( my teacher n also my friend in dance class said that i have potential) 2. i can sing 3. i can speak fluently in english and 40% korean 4. i have slim figure the reason why i can't be a future trainee 1. my visual is not good enough 2. im 14 y/o and 156 cm , not tall enough to be , i think ? 3. have strict parents
The most important thing is people have to be korean as they can speak fluent and pronounce it perfectly during recording . But if you know the language it is easy for you to become kpop. Unfortunately i don't know the language , 😒shame on me And the biggest problem is i am from India 🇮🇳 And another problem my parents Me : i want to become a kpop idol Mom: you don't have any dancing skill , forget about it and concentrate on your study and her face is like this😡

my mother would have given me a heavy scolding and my father would just sip his wine and watch it all play out-

This sounds so much fun! Even though the kpop industry is harsh on females, just going to an academy sounds so cool! Once you're able to learn this stuff, you can even emerge as an independent artist through social media. So this sounds really benifitting
not to crush anyone's dreams but reminder if ur NOT Asian or at least HALF
the chances you're getting in are slim to none; it's just a fact & no there won't be a "well maybe I'll be an exception" because there's plenty of talented people who, if were an exception would probably have been debuted already or casted.
I was even scouted at the airport but the lady who was scouting saw me in a boot and walked off
(Edit) and I wanna become a kpop idol.
Im half asian. Filipino and chinese.
this is what I think companies are looking for in a idol:
Looks-65%
(I can’t even deny this, especially if you’re looking to enter a well-known company. Some companies like to scout trainees from the streets and transform them into idols. Since the idol already has the looks, it’ll be easier to garner attention from the public when they debut. Dancing and singing abilities can actually be trained so I think in the idol industry looks is definitely important.)
Talent-35%
(Honestly, for this talent portion to actually count you have to be really really talented than a million others cause like I said above, dance and singing can be nurtured. But if you feel like you’re really talented, go for it!)
Besides the point, if you truly want to pursue the dream, go for it!
Oh....Thank you......You give me a hope again i thought i should give up because i don't have a talent...❤❤❤
with my jennie no problemmm, I don’t think every kpop idol has to be be insanely talented when they get into the company since I’m sure the company will train them afterwards!
JYP is not looking towards your visual they depend to your naturalness , attitude and talent
I wanna be a kpop idol, but here’s all the problems:
- I’m not Asian, I’m a full blooded american
- I’m 16 (which is pretty old to start training)
- I have no money, no job, and my family’s poor and probably wouldn’t be able to support me in this
HOWEVER
I still wanna try and if I got the opportunity I would work as hard as possible, and even if I fail it would atleast be an amazing experience and I still have the rest of my life ahead of me. Any advice/insight on my problems would be 10,000%+ appreciated! Thank you
- you dont have to be asian but ur less likely to get in , focus on you’re talent and confidence tho !
- 16 actually isnt old to start training at all , i would say thats like perfect age
- (this totally depends on company) but if you pass the global or online audition they will usually fly you out to korea and pay for almost everything , if your company doesnt find a plan b . start saving your money
We are not affordable .to ..fly Korea...but girl let's keep fighting ......to our dreams ..all the best .if u will participate in future Auditions ...🤗🤗.

wow thats so cool u used to be a trainee. I am really curious about what were the workouts! please talk about that! love you♡♡
I really want to become a trainee, not necessarily to debut into a girl group, but to improve my dancing and singing skills.
Although, I don’t really know how to approach my parents because they’ll most likely just laugh at me
@Jophea hello!! And thanks for the confidence. Also good luck in Korea!!!!!!

My mom always tells me to audition online but I'm scared because I'm only 13, turning 14, and I'm not a korean. I'm a full time pilipino and we don't really have money to support my daily needs. And my mom is working abroad
Now is the time to audition online cus of COVID once it’s over they might close down online auditions
so basically every audition tips is where you find many talented people who wants to train in korea but can't support themselves. if you have problems, please never give up you can do this!!! i know it won't help but always remember to have courage in yourself. you're talented, you just don't know which talent it is, don't underestimate yourself❤❤
I want to finished my study first too but many kpop idols dropping to school because it's hard and if we finished school first then we are already older I don't know but that's sad
Lilyuyyy you're totally right 🤧 if we wait for too long our age may not be accepted in any companies in south korea unless we're freaking talented
@@mariaveralyndevera7824 oh yes, if you/we trainee to s. korea maybe we will study there or what, I'm not sure but it's difficult when you combined learning and training so many idols dropping from school
so they give up their studies more than that? i mean if they drop out then they choose to be a kpop idol but all kpop group has a contract if when they gonna be disband right? if that's tthe case after their disband what will happened to them? are they gonna continue to studies? i'm curious btw
I tried auditioning and never doing it again

i actuals want to audition for a korean company but i cant bc:
1)i have pimples
2)i kind of fat
3)im not that good at singing
4)i only know basic hangeul
I admire you for choosing 'to live your life'...such a mature thought. Great, dear.❤

I know you probably won't see this but I have a couple of questions.
1. Do you have to be Asian in order to get into this program (I was born in America and both my parents are from Mexico so I'm not sure if they will let me in)
2. I am 14 and I want to try out this program when I am at least 15, will they let me or is there an age limit??
3. Do you already have to have a lot of talent when you go in or will they train you from scratch(as in like you have some skills, but not a lot)
sorry if these are stupid questions
ahh don't be sorry I'd love to answer these questions
1. No you do not have to be Asian at all, they accept people of all ethnicities
2. There is no age limit!
3. I do have a background of a dancer and I've received vocal training before, but there are people who started from scratch as well
@@angewxng i really appreciate this because this boosted my confidence so much I always wanted to be in YG Ent but a question how many rounds do you take to then be a real trainee and how many years of training to debit sorry for the questions

I think I can sing pretty decent but I have 0 dancing skill at all! And all the dances she shows look very advance so now idk what to do anymore😬
Tina티나 Start off with some easy dances like Likey or Signal. Then gradually make your way up to the harder dances. Never attempt a boy group’s dance until you can master easy girl group dances (I would recommend Twice as their hardest dance is Dance The Night Away, which is still quite easy).

There could be a chance for them to even pay your flight to Korea if you’re THAT good. But if not, then you still have to pay for a flight, food and apartment at Korea on your own.
I’m 12 too
Tell ur mom they pay for the flight, food, and shelter...
Guys you’re confusing her no they don’t pay for your flight unless you’re already a professional at everything then maybe
reason why i can be a 'future' trainee
1.i can dance ( my teacher n also my friend in dance class said that i have potential)
2. i can sing
3. i can speak fluently in english and 40% korean
4. i have slim figure
the reason why i can't be a future trainee
1. my visual is not good enough
2. im 14 y/o and 156 cm , not tall enough to be , i think ?
3. have strict parents
The height isn’t an issue. There are idols shorter than you.
Same 😭🤌
LMAO I'm 16 and 149cm
The most important thing is people have to be korean as they can speak fluent and pronounce it perfectly during recording . But if you know the language it is easy for you to become kpop.
Unfortunately i don't know the language , 😒shame on me
And the biggest problem is i am from India 🇮🇳

My parents want me to go on a government job
I can audition because:
1.I can sing
2.I can dance
3.i can rap(still working)
4.My friends are with me
why i'm not sure:
1.i'm a Filipina
2.I have moderate visual
Why i still push that dream:
1.my family supports me
2.i work hard on my vocals
3.i'm staying fit
:) so if you are not sure or have low confidents i got one thing to say
"GO GET IT GIRL/BOY,YOU GOT THIS FIGHTING!"
Lol the moment I saw you write “bare mosquitos” I was like this girl is from Toronto 😂
I can audition because
- i can sing
- i can dance
- i can rap
Why i can't audition because
- not enough support
- worried for my studies
- my mom will laugh at me
- my dad will think I'm joking

I don’t know if you still need the answers to your questions or not, but I’m still gonna try and answer just Incase you do. I’m pretty sure it was a one time thing, but you have a choice between the 1 month program and the three month program. You can apply at www.fncgtc.com , and lastly it doesn’t say much about the requirements aside from what’s on the website, however you can email/call them and ask them their requirements (if their are any), and the contract info is also on the website.
