I'm a Cleveland native, The Guardians name change was so stupid. Most people wanted it to be changed to the spiders. They chose Guardians because the rebrand would be cheaper since the "ians" didn't have to be removed from the logo or anywhere around the stadium

Just a little note about Satchel Paige. The Be-ball was named that because he said “It be where I want it to be when i want it to be there.” He also was known for bringing in all his fielders and they would just kneel around the mound as he struck out the side in order
SO GREAT. As for what his dad said about players today being soft I feel like some maybe but most would probably play if they were told to. I think it's the owners and the team managers who are the ones concerned about their investments not paying off for them. It's become such a business that they want their players to be healthy longer. I think most players would rather be out there playing through things.
